The aim of this paper is to describe the new concept of a Master level university course for computer science students to address the issues of IoT and Smart Home Security. This concept is well suited for professional training for interested customers and allows the creation of practical exercises. The modular structure of the course contains lectures and exercises on the following topics: 1. Introduction - IoT and Smart Home Technology and Impact 2. Homematic Technology and Smart Home Applications 3. Loxone Technology and Smart Home Applications 4. Raspberry Pi and Smart Home Applications 5. Security of IoT and Smart Home Systems and contains laboratory exercises of diverse complexities.

<p><em>Based on data from the Indonesia Ministry of Health in 2015, In Indonesia, new professional nurses were just 2% of the total nurses. This figure was much lower than the Philippines which has reached 40% with bachelor and master level as their education. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age, and leadership with the performance of health personnel</em><em>. </em><em>The design of this research was analytical research with Cross Sectional Study. The population in this study was all nurses and doctors who served in the internal room, children, surgery and midwifery</em><em>. </em><em>Sampling using total sampling</em><em> </em><em>by questionnaires. The data was processed by univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi-square test</em><em>. </em><em>The result showed that 57,8% nurses had poor performance, 56,3% doctors had poor performance, 64,4% nurses had average age 26-35 years, 56,2% doctors had average age  36-45 years, 64.4% nurses have poor leadership, </em><em>and </em><em>50.0% of doctors have less good leadership</em><em>.</em><em> There is a relationship between age</em><em> and </em><em>leadership with the performance of health personnel.</em><em></em></p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p>Berdasarkan data kemenkes RI tahun 2015 jumlah tenaga kesehatan terbanyak yaitu perawat sebanyak 147.264 orang (45,65%). Di Indonesia, perawat profesional baru mencapai 2% dari total perawat yang ada. Angka ini jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan Filipina yang sudah mencapai 40% dengan pendidikan strata satu dan dua. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara umur, kepemimpinan dengan kinerja tenaga kesehatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain penelitian analitik dengan Cross Sectional Study. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua perawat dan dokter. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan Total Sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Data diolah dengan analisis univariat menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-square. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 57,8% perawat memiliki kinerja kurang baik, 56,3% dokter memiliki kinerja kurang baik, 64,4% perawat memiliki umur rata-rata 26-35 tahun 64,4%, 56,2% dokter memiliki umur rata-rata 36-45 tahun, 64,4% perawat memiliki kepemimpinan kurang baik, 50,0% dokter memiliki kepemimpinan kurang baik. Terdapat hubungan antara umur dan kepemimpinan dengan kinerja tenaga kesehatan.</p>

This paper intends to analyze perceptions of students and teachers towards the semester system of Tribhuvan University (TU). The result of the study is based on the data collected through survey questionnaire from 40 university teachers and 194 master level students. The perception is discussed in terms of learning environment, resources, use of ICT tools, contents and activities. The findings show that the perception of teachers and students towards curriculum, teaching/learning environment, and regularity of classes and viability of semester system are in positive direction. However, the availability of learning resources and use of ICT tools in day to day teaching/learning are not in satisfactory way in the perception of the participants. Their perceptions also reveal that facilities of extra-curricular activities, play grounds and canteen are inadequate. Similarly, the teachers and students perceive that availability of both human and academic resources is inadequate. The students experience show that there is teacher domination in selection of teaching methods; less use of ICT materials to promote learning; difficulty in completing courses in the stipulated time and not timely declaring exam result. However, this system has encouraged and empowered creativity among students for learning.

This paper aims to demonstrate how assessment tasks can function within an outcomes-based learning framework to evaluate student attainment of learning outcomes. An outcomes-based learning framework designed to integrate teaching, learning, and assessment activities was developed and implemented in a civil engineering master-level course. The assessment instruments for this course were designed together to form a deliberate, balanced, and practical approach to evaluating student attainment of learning outcomes within the outcomes-based learning initiative. Direct evidence of student learning was derived through analysis of student results in assessment tasks constructively aligned with intended outcomes of learning. Student feedback provided indirect evidence of student attainment of learning outcomes and confirmed the effectiveness of the learning approach implemented in the course under investigation. Results of the direct assessment instruments were, generally, consistent with the student self-perception confirming achievement of learning outcomes. Students tended, however, to overestimate the level of attainment of learning outcomes. Results of the present study are anticipated to assist educators and researchers to efficiently and effectively implement and evaluate outcomes-based learning in higher education thus improving educational quality and student learning

Abstract: In the present scenario, it is quite aware that almost every field is moving into machine based automation right from fundamentals to master level systems. Among them, Machine Learning (ML) is one of the important tool which is most similar to Artificial Intelligence (AI) by allowing some well known data or past experience in order to improve automatically or estimate the behavior or status of the given data through various algorithms. Modeling a system or data through Machine Learning is important and advantageous as it helps in the development of later and newer versions. Today most of the information technology giants such as Facebook, Uber, Google maps made Machine learning as a critical part of their ongoing operations for the better view of users. In this paper, various available algorithms in ML is given briefly and out of all the existing different algorithms, Linear Regression algorithm is used to predict a new set of values by taking older data as reference. However, a detailed predicted model is discussed clearly by building a code with the help of Machine Learning and Deep Learning tool in MATLAB/ SIMULINK. The National Defense University (NDU) trains officers to develop their academic and professional skills. To accomplish this, the university offers two mandatory courses on methodological training for military technology students for master level education. The first course was theoretically oriented, and the second course was practically oriented. These both master-level methodology courses emphasize practice oriented mathematical skills, which officers use in their operative decision-making and statistical analysis. This study focuses on student-centered learning methodologies linked to teachers’ observations from current and previous course implementations. Results in this study described the outcome from the first run of the revised curriculum. We collected data from students’ course reports and the university’s standard student evaluation of teaching (SET). According to the SET, the course 2 which was practically oriented course, where groups worked on more significant projects gained higher value among students. In conclusion, we recommend that teachers continue using student-centered learning methodologies to technical students as much as possible. Theoretically underscored courses should also contain more practical examples. Keywords: distance education, flipped learning, learning by doing, research methodology, student-centered learning
