At the beginning of 2020 the whole world was in an uproar with the emergence of a virus that can attack the respiratory tract and can even make its victims die. Covid-19 or Corona Virus is the cause. When entering the end of 2019 in December the first Covid-19 cases appeared in the city of Wuhan, China (People's Republic of China). This virus spreads very quickly through droplets or fluids. At the beginning of March 2020, Covid-19 cases had started to enter Indonesia, precisely in Depok City. It is reported that there are 2 people who have contracted Covid-19.. People began to self-quarantine at home, and always maintain cleanliness by washing hands and using hand sanitizer. Some people even spray disinfectant in their homes to kill the Covid-19 virus. The government has also stepped in to tackle this problem. The government asks residents to always comply with health protocols and use masks and reduce activities outside the home if it is not too urgent. The Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration issues policies related to making passports during the pandemic, such as limiting the number of passport applicants in the immigration office. Applicants are also required to follow the health protocol rules set by the immigration authorities.

Introduction: Asthma in children is one of the most common chronic diseases and little information available on factors associated with this disease in our part of the world. Objective:  The present study is an attempt to find out the socio-demographic and clinical profile of children with asthma. Methodology: This was a retrospective analysis of data of asthmatic children below 14 years attending pediatric chest clinic from July 2014 till March 2016. Results:  Of the 200 children, there were 142 (71%) males. The median age of presentation was 3 years and 139 (69.5%) from the age group 1-5years One third had poorly controlled asthma. Comorbidity was present in 59(29.5%) and allergic rhinitis (7%) was the most common. 90.5% had onset of wheezing before 5 years of age. Family history of asthma and/or atopy and smoking was present in 24% and 31%, respectively. 22% had exposure to pet animals. Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) (37%) was the most common trigger for exacerbation. Cough (99%) and fast breathing (98%) were the most common symptoms. Conclusion: The majorities were males of young age with rhinitis as most common co-morbidity and many of them had a history of parental smoking at home. One third of them had poorly controlled asthma which shows the need for proper management of asthma including its comorbidity in younger children and changing certain habits like parental smoking at home.

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic occurred in many parts of the world has disrupted many aspects of life. One precaution to protect ourselves from this virus is cleaning our hands by using hand sanitizers and cleaning surfaces that are frequntly touched by using disinfectants. Therefore, there is tremendous need of this chemical substance in this pandemic era. This fact enforces people to make this chemical at home.. This homemade manufacture and use of sanitizers and disinfectants must be in accordance with the regulations, so that they don't cause any harmful effects for the body. This program is carried out with the aim of providing education to the community, especially residents of Duren Sawit Village. The media used in this program are Instagram and YouTube, and the materials were delivered in form of videos. Videos were uploaded to Instagram and YouTube on 2 – 23 June 2020. After that, a questionnaire was filled on 23 June – 1 July 2020. From the questionnaire data, it can be shown that the respondents have benefited from the video generally. The benefits obtained by the community were dealing with the functions and active ingredients contained in hand sanitizers and disinfectants; method of producing hand sanitizers and disinfectants; the importance of providing hand sanitizers and disinfectants at home; caution in using hand sanitizers and disinfectants; as well as the impact if there is a misuse of hand sanitizer or disinfectant. Through this program, it is expected that the community will be able to make and use sanitizers and disinfectants safely and effectively to achieve a healthier Indonesia.

The Coronavirus pandemic stresses the importance of eHealth techniques to monitor patients at home. Home monitoring of lung function in asthma and cystic fibrosis (CF) may help to detect deterioration of lung function at an early stage, but the reliability is unclear. We investigated whether lung function measurements at home were comparable to measurements during clinical visits. We analysed prospectively collected data of two one-year observational cohort studies in 117 children (36 with CF and 81 with asthma). All patients performed forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) measurements with a monitor at home. Paired FEV1 measurements were included if the measurement on the home monitor was performed on the same day as the FEV1 measurement on the pneumotachometer during a two monthly clinical visit. Bland-Altman plots and linear mixed model analysis were used. The mean difference (home measurement was subtracted from clinical measurement) in FEV1 was 0.18 L in CF (95% confidence interval (CI) 0.08–0.27 L; p < 0.001) and 0.12 L in asthma (95%CI 0.05–0.19 L; p < 0.001). FEV1 measurements at home were significantly lower than clinically obtained FEV1 measurements, which has implications for the application of this technique in the daily clinical situation.

During the pandemic, healthy life behavior is needed in an attempt to reduce the transmission risk.  One of them could be done by washing hands. Various human activities may not allow them to wash their hands frequently, for example, using hand sanitizer to wash hands. Hand sanitizer or Isopropyl based alcohol are recommended materials by WHO to clean bacteria on hands. Storing hand sanitizer for a longer time leads to inaccurate quality of the hand sanitizer to the written quality on the package. A simple alcohol meter is designed to test the liquid percentage of hand sanitizer or Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) based alcohol. The required materials are easy to get from the surrounding environment. Thus, this device could be established at home without ignoring the health protocol. Although it has strength IPA-based alcohol or hand sanitizer is also risky if it is incorrectly used
