The authors demonstrate that a target's attitude toward an influencer is affected by both (1) the influence type used by the influencer to achieve the target's compliance and (2) the performance outcomes that result from the behavior adopted by the target in compliance with that influence. Before performance outcomes are known, the target's satisfaction and trust are strongly affected by the type of influence exercised; more dominating influence types result in less positive attitude. When outcomes of compliance become evident, however, favorable outcomes appear to ameliorate negative attitudes, whereas unfavorable outcomes seem to undermine positive attitudes. These findings indicate the significance of performance outcomes for understanding the ramifications of successful influence.

Abstract The objective of this work was to assess whether the implementation of a bridge resource management (BRM) unit into the simulator-based nautical training of the German Navy is effective in improving non-technical skills and navigation performance. To this end, questionnaire data, observations of behaviour and performance outcomes were compared between a control group and an experimental group. Data of 24 bridge teams (126 sailors) were used for the analyses. Ten teams received BRM training and 14 teams served as the control group with unchanged simulator training. Reactions to simulator training were positive in both groups but more favourable in the control group. In the BRM group, significantly more positive attitudes towards open communication and coordination, more frequent sharing of information and fewer collisions were found than in the control group. Effect sizes were rather small. This may be due to the limited scale of the BRM unit, which consisted of only one instruction-training-feedback cycle. The extension of BRM-related feedback to all simulator runs of the nautical training can be expected to produce larger effects on attitudes, behaviour and performance.

Because the theme of this research is focused on language attitudes which is one of the topics in sociolinguistic studies, the data are collected using the questionnaire method through distributing questionnaires to respondents who are considered representative representing the research population and also using literature study methods. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive methods. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the language attitude shown by speakers of Shimakutuba was divided into two, namely positive attitudes and negative attitudes. There are still many students who violate the rules at school making them hampered to achieve success. Not only that, if this is left unchecked, it will make the character of students not good. The purpose of writing this journal is to fnd out the right way so that each student can obey the discipline at school. Where if this can be done surely the system and purpose of an institution will be easily achieved. Personal social guidance and counseling services are an alternative as an effort to make students obey the rules. Counseling services emphasize change in addressing discipline. By changing negative attitudes such as breaking the rules into a positive attitude that is obeying the order. Learners’ positive attitudes toward discipline can be used as an alternative to changing the rules of curbing and burdensome dicipline into something very useful. And can make students carry out their responsibilities from their heart and willingness not because of coercion or fear of blasphemy, because obeying the rules will lead students to success.

Oral and written feedback have been found to be useful in learning English as a Second Language (L2). Yet it is not clear what form of feedback L2 learners prefer. This study therefore investigated 47 Saudi female university students’ attitudes to both oral and written feedback. The data was collected by an online questionnaire consisting of three constructs: a) attitudes to written feedback; b) attitudes to oral feedback; and c) attitudes to written versus oral feedback. In terms of the first, the results showed that most participants expressed positive attitudes to written feedback, which they would be happy to receive on all the mistakes they make in their writing. Most participants were also positive about oral feedback and wanted their teacher to correct all their speaking errors, including errors of grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. However, participants did not want to be corrected in front of other students as this could make them nervous. Overall, most participants agreed that oral feedback helped them improve their English skills more than written feedback. But despite such a positive attitude, most participants still found oral feedback embarrassing. Knowing students’ perceptions of corrective feedback (CF) is vital, because negative attitudes to feedback could harm the language learning process.

Population of this research is the teenager members of PIK R grade 10 and 11 at goverment high school 4 karimun total of 36 teenager. The researcher use the technic of total sampling as sample of this research.  Instrument use questionnaire.  Analysis use chi square statistical test by using the score of significant 0,05 to see relation if the score p< 0.05, so ho is rejected and ha. Results showed that most of the respondents, namely 34 or 94.4% of respondents had a positive attitude and only 2 respondents or 5.6% of respondents had negative attitudes, of the 36 respondents, 34 people or 94.4% had positive attitudes and all of them (100%) of them used PIK-R, the remaining 2 respondents or 5.6% of respondents had negative attitudes and in this attitude group all (100%) did not take advantage of PIK-R p value = 0.002. Conclusion there is a relation that si significant between teenager attitude and utilization od PIK-R. Abstract. Multiculturalism has been criticized and rejected by an increasing number of politicians, and social psychological research has shown that it can lead to outgroup stereotyping, essentialist thinking, and negative attitudes. Interculturalism has been proposed as an alternative diversity ideology, but there is almost no systematic empirical evidence about the impact of interculturalism on the acceptance of migrants and minority groups. Using data from a survey experiment conducted in the Netherlands, we examined the situational effect of promoting interculturalism on acceptance. The results show that for liberals, but not for conservatives, interculturalism leads to more positive attitudes toward immigrant-origin groups and increased willingness to engage in contact, relative to multiculturalism.

This article discusses the predictors of Ghanaian cocoa producers’ intention to continue adopting a recommended cocoa beanfermentation technology in the future. The analyses is carried out within the framework of the theory of planned behaviour.Three hundred and twenty-one cocoa producers were interviewed. Consistent with literature, attitudes, subjective norms andpast behaviour were significant predictors of fermentation intentions. Positive attitude relate to beliefs about ease of use oftechnologies and existence of non-financial rewards. Negative attitudes relate to lack of direct financial rewards. PurchasingClerks, Chief Farmers and society at large were found to be the salient social referents who shape producers’ fermentationintentions. Recommendations included improving implementation of current producer incentive regimes, promoting trust betweenproducers and purchasing clerks and strengthening producer association to increase the sphere of influence of the Chief Farmers.

A key aspect of work processes in service sector firms is the interconnection between tasks and performance. Relational coordination can play an important role in addressing the issues of coordinating organizational activities due to high level of interdependence complexity in service sector firms. Research has primarily supported the aspect that well devised high performance work systems (HPWS) can intensify organizational performance. There is a growing debate, however, with regard to understanding the “mechanism” linking HPWS and performance outcomes. Using relational coordination theory, this study examines a model that examine the effects of subsets of HPWS, such as motivation, skills and opportunity enhancing HR practices on relational coordination among employees working in reciprocal interdependent job settings. Data were gathered from multiple sources including managers and employees at individual, functional and unit levels to know their understanding in relation to HPWS and relational coordination (RC) in 218 bank branches in Pakistan. Data analysis via structural equation modelling, results suggest that HPWS predicted RC among officers at the unit level. The findings of the study have contributions to both, theory and practice.
