Some ideas about in-depth indexing are presented. Any document can be considered from two points: the core of the document which is usually one subject expressed by one term and the aboutness of the document which is usually many subjects expressed by several keywords and terms which may be either relative or non-relative to the core term. An experimental analysis with a sample of 100 petroleum documents using these new concepts appears to show that the terms unrelated to the core term must be reduced and the primary and minor relative terms need to be increased. The computing operation of the graduated aboutness is a way to weight the types of aboutness in in-depth indexing.

In this work the mechanical performance of various sandwich constructions with respect to core material were experimentally evaluated. Sandwich structures were made of glass prepreg and three types of plastic core using vacuum bagging, technology traditionally used for production of parts for transport industry. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of the core material type and its thickness on bending behavior at different environmental temperatures. Moreover, the effect of core layers compared to one layer core of same thickness was determined. Conducted research provided useful information of bending behavior and showed specific failure modes of individual sandwich constructions.

In this paper, we propose a computer model of information behavior to study information security professionals and an architecture, which mimics the way our brain learns new concepts to simulate this behavior computationally. Used to represent and describe any domain of knowledge, we may use ontologies to study the human information behavior and show some of the concepts and relation-ships involved in this field of knowledge. A deep knowledge of the core concepts underpinning this field can provide us with a solid basis for constructing a model. We can also use computer-programming tools not only to capture the ideas that make up this field of knowledge, but can also simulate the human information behavior. The use of computers also allows us to crawl data over the Internet and process large amounts of them in order to find patterns with some specific characteristics. In the paper, we also present the current state of this research and challenges of the model.

What is life and how could it originate? This question lies at the core of understanding the cell as the smallest living unit. Although we are witnessing a golden era of the life sciences, we are ironically still far from giving a convincing answer to this question. In this short article, I argue why synthetic biology in conjunction with the quantitative sciences may provide us with new concepts and tools to address it.

The question of truth stands at the core of Foucault's philosophy. He was interested in how different pieces of knowledge had attained truth status over the course of history, how power had legitimated itself through truth, how people had shaped themselves via producing truth. The multivolume History of Sexuality, conceived in the 1970s, was originally intended as a study of the relationship between sex and truth. This project that spread over almost ten years constituted Foucault's main laboratory of the history of truth, where he could test new concepts, ideas, and materials. The project went through a very important transformation in time: while in 1970s, Foucault was primarily interested in the relations between truth, sex and power, in the 1980s he mainly studies the relations between truth, sex and the subject. Looking back at the evolution of his thought in the second volume of his History of Sexuality, Foucault admits to realising that all of his work has in fact been dealing with the history of truth: “I seem to have gained a better perspective on the way I worked – gropingly, and by means of different or successive fragments – on this project, whose goal is a history of truth.”

The urgency of the topic of the scientific article is determined by the processes of finding new concepts and applying new approaches to the study of the gender concept of the modern periodicals for women and men in Ukraine. The study of the gender concept is relevant because it reveals new trends and features of modern gender images. The purpose of the article is due to the processes of finding new concepts and the application of new approaches to the study of gender concepts in modern Ukrainian media. The study of the topic is relevant because it allows to identify new trends and features of modern gender images. The macroconcept «woman» can be conventionally divided into the main, that is, the most frequently used microconcepts in the magazines studied, such as: loved one, mistress, mother, girlfriend, mother-in-law, rival. As it turned out, in the studied editions, the macro concept of «man» is reflected in the most frequently used microconcepts: beloved, father, stranger, boss, son, friend. At the core of the gender conceptual sphere there is basic gender macro concepts «woman» and «man» that is used in the investigated periodical in different proportions, depending on the role of women and men in society. Especially because of the sensitivity, thoughtfulness, responsible selection of gender characteristics, which is presented in a gender-labeled periodical, modern and future is formed gender images.

The article examines the terms and concepts discussed in the first decade of the publication of the Zeitschrift für Politische Theorie (ZPTh). For this purpose, the keywords of all research articles have been collected and edited to conduct a network analysis. The analysis focuses on the reconstruction of the discursive field of political theory. Two central results were identified: First, the keyword network forms an almost completely connected network, which, however, 'frays' at the discursive margins so that sub-discourses emerge. Second, the keywords 'democracy' and 'freedom' are particularly central to the network and form the core of the political theory debate. Nevertheless, discussions on populism and post-structuralist approaches are also found in the network, thus demonstrating the emergence of new concepts and themes. The political theory debate in the ZPTh thus partially exhibits a center-periphery structure and at the same time illustrates a high degree of pluralism in German-based political theory. The article contributes to self-reflection and understanding in the field of political theory and offers first empirical insights into the state of research and publication of German-based political theory.

In recent years, bitcoin has become a very attractive investment in financial industry, which is not controlled by governments, but is based on trust between transfers under the technology of block chain. Hence, forecasting future bitcoin cryptocurrency values is a problem that has attracted the attention of many researchers in the field, while proving to be a very challenging problem. This work presents an experimental analysis using LSTM and GRUs for forecasting bitcoin values in a minute-granulated time for the entire next day. To this end we also present our methodology for conducting the experiments. The final goal is to create the core of a financial prediction tool around the RNNs. In our experiments, we achieved interesting results such as a SMAPE of 0.0002, a RMSE of US$ 3.844 and a rRMSE of 0.0028 in a day where bitcoin rates vary from US$ 13.2K and US$ 14.6K, surpassing the results of SMAPE found in the literature and proposed limit of SMAPE smaller than 0.007 for forecasts.

This chapter identifies and describes the key concepts and techniques for BLOB and CLOB integration into the IoT core. Data system centralization has sped up the solution of problems with large amounts of data storage and processing, particularly if the data is large by its nature. In that sense, everyday stream of photos, audio and video content, large textual data files led to new concepts BLOB and CLOB. Adequate examples of stored procedures, views, C#, JAVA, HTML5 i PHP languages, follow the establishing communication methods. Finally, the chapter will illustrate two practical examples of IoT: the example for pagination on a large database with million BLOB and CLOB objects, and the example for dynamic mechatronic system of a fire truck with feedback.

This paper focuses on the problem of cooperative game with payoff of vague value and its nucleolus. Firstly, the paper defines the score function and accuracy function of vague sets and the method for ranking of vague sets and proposes the concept of core and nucleolus of vague payoff cooperative game. Based on this, the model of vague payoff cooperative game is built. Then, the relationship between the core and the nucleolus of vague payoff cooperative game is further discussed, and the existence and unique characteristics of the nucleolus are proved. We use the ranking method defined in the paper to transform the problem of finding the nucleolus solution into a nonlinear programming problem. Finally, the paper verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the method for finding the nucleolus with an experimental analysis.
