This article explores the experiences of young people leaving state care during COVID-19. Twenty-one young people, predominantly from Wales, engaged in semi-structured interviews and/or contributed poems and artwork conveying their experiences of the pandemic. The data generated offered insights into young people’s daily lives, including their routines and relationships, as well as access to resources and services. The study found stark disparity in young people’s experiences, with some reassured by support responses, and others feeling neglected and forgotten. As an already disadvantaged group, the challenges presented by COVID-19 further hinder young people’s transitions to adulthood. The ‘massive struggles’ faced by some young people reflect immediate difficulties which also have the potential for longer-term impacts. The recommendations of the study, informed by care-experienced young people, seek to positively influence policy and practice.

There has been considerable controversy over the extent to which class is a salient social identity, and the importance of other social identities. Marshall and his colleagues (1988) argue that class identity remains a salient frame of reference in people's daily lives while Saunders (1989; 1990) and Emmison and Western (1990) argue that class identity is not as strong as they claim, and the importance of other social identities cannot be denied. However, proponents and opponents in the debate are agreed that the salience of social identities depends upon the context in which they are found which cannot be fully explored in highly-structured interviews. Drawing on data from a ‘qualitative re-study’ of the Affluent Worker series, it will be argued that people have many different identities, including a strong class identity, which co-exist at the same time. That said, their class identity is the most important influence on the formation of political perspectives. This finding concurs with the Essex team and Saunders even though he has sought to distance himself from this conclusion.

The emergence of a cult is a prominent issue in Aceh in the last decade. Some stream cults have highly attractiveness power, especially among young people and students, so that they are joining into this stream. This situation led to unrest in people's daily lives, especially among the parent, religious leaders and community leaders. One way to reduce the appearance of this cult is through reinforcement the local wisdom. Based on local knowledge Aceh there are three forces that must be reaffirmed, namely, household, informal leaders in villages and educational institutions. Through the strengthening of the three institutions, it is hoped, a cult will not develop in Aceh

Abstract: Advertising speech is present in people's daily lives through various types of media: TV ads, print ads, billboards, or social networks. Among the resources used by advertising to convince people about the products, services or ideas they want to sell we are interested in studying the use of verbal language, more specifically the way in which advertising builds meaning through language. Thus, this article intends to analyze some statements of an advertising campaign carried out by the financial institution Citibank under the view of the enunciative theory developed by Oswald Ducrot. The campaign is a great example of the game of argumentation that can be created through verbal language, entangled in itself, in which the speaker does not speak about the world, but speaks to build the world and to explain its truth through linguistic argumentation and not , necessarily, rhetoric.

Throughout history the cinema has reflected a lot of disability forms. This has always been from the point of view of a non-disabled. Disabled people are an important social group whose image can be affected by cinema approach where their point of view is not predominant but rather isolated, in fact, the attention is centered on social stereotypes which have nothing to do with these people’s daily lives or their various possibilities. That’s why for teachers this is a basic tool in their goal to assess human diversity in its countless aspects.
