Context: Multimorbidity is frequently seen in primary care. We aimed to identify and analyze publications on multimorbidity, including those that most influenced this field. Method: A bibliometric analysis of publications from 2005 to 2019 in the PubMed database containing “multimorbidity” or “multi-morbidity” identified with the tool iCite. We analyzed the number of publications, total citations, the article-level metric Relative Citation Ratio (RCR), type of study, and journals with the most cited articles. Results: The number of publications using “multimorbidity” has continuously increased since 2005 (2005–2009: 138; 2010–2014: 823; 2015–2019: 3068). The median number of total citations per article was 3. The median RCR was 1.04. Articles with RCR at or above the 97th percentile (RCR = 7.43) were analyzed in detail (n = 104). In 34 publications of this subgroup (33%), the word multimorbidity was used but was not the subject of study. The remaining top 70 publications included 32 observational studies, 22 reviews, five guideline statements, three analysis papers, two randomized trials, three qualitative studies, two measurement development reports, and one conceptual framework development report. The publications were produced by authors from 32 countries. They were published in 37 different journals, ranging from one to four articles in the same journal. Conclusions: We found a continuous increase in the number of publications about multimorbidity since 2005. However, our study suggests that the numbers should be considered only a general trend because multimorbidity was not the main subject in 33% of publications in a subgroup of 104 analyzed in detail.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common motor disability in childhood, and as far as we know, there are no biometric studies that have evaluated CP and oral health (OH) on a global level. The aim of this study was to present the worldwide research trends in studies of OH in persons with CP, using bibliometric analysis. Through bibliographic information on publications about OH and CP was obtained in the PubMed database, from 1956 to 2021. The extracted data included periodical, title, year of publication, authors, citations, impact factor, key words, country, most cited publications, and study design. A total of 567 articles were published and indexed in PubMed up until 6/28/2021. The data showed a constant growth and an exponential increase in the number of publications. The articles were written in 17 different languages, and 232 (90.63%) articles were in English.  Among the 111 Periodicals, Special Care in Dentistry contributed the most to scientific research with 30 articles (17.3%).  Brazil (25%) and the United States (17.24%) were the countries with the highest number of publications. Observational studies were the most frequent types of articles (76.29%), followed by case reports (13.36%). It was concluded that this current network analysis indicates that although there is a significant growth in the number of publications about OH in persons with CP, it is important to increase the number of interventional randomized clinical trial studies, to include this population in high-impact oral health investigations around the world.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to quantitatively assess the essential trends of existing research on “puffery in advertising” through bibliometric analysis. Design/methodology/approach This study uses citation data collected through Scopus and Google Scholar for the research area “puffery in advertising” to investigate the most productive journals, top countries of affiliation and prominent years with maximum citations. The study analyses the 87 articles related to “puffery in advertising,” published during 1840 to 2018. Moreover, this study also presents graphical analysis through network maps. Findings “Puffery in advertising” has remained an under-researched area. However, records of past ten years indicate marginal growth in the number of publications. USA dominates this research area with most numbers of articles published till date. Through clustering of subject areas, it is found that majority of articles have been published under the subject area of “Business, Management and Accounting.” Interestingly, the results of the network maps slightly differ from that of citation table. Practical implications This paper is useful for any reader or researcher who wants to understand the trends of “puffery in advertising” in terms of citation analysis, authors and affiliation countries, and prominent years with maximum citations, which would further enable them to discover emerging research areas, potential research collaborations and publications. Originality/value To the knowledge of the authors, this is the first ever bilbiometric study on “puffery in advertising” providing a bird’s-eye view of the essential trends.

Context: To date, several studies have been done regarding the treatment of atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) which discussed eculizumab as a potential treatment for this syndrome. However, the safety and efficacy of eculizumab were not fully assessed. This study aims to do a systematic review about the efficacy and safety of eculizumab in treatment of aHUS. Evidence Acquisitions: An electronic literature search was conducted to identify appropriate studies. We included all randomized trials and observational studies about using eculizumab in aHUS. Two independent reviewers extracted data from the articles according to the selection criteria. Results: Eligible studies were included in this systematic review. The literature search and reference mining yielded 571 potential relevant articles. We removed 173 articles because of duplication. We also excluded 245 articles after reviewing the titles and abstracts, and removed 61 studies because the topics were not relevant to the subject. Finally, five studies were included in the systematic review. Conclusions: Acknowledging the limitations of the study due to the size and nature of the included studies, our systematic review shows that eculizumab was effective in the treatment of aHUS. However, further large randomized trials are suggested.

Clinical pharmacy is one of the areas in which pharmacists work that appeared decades ago; however, it is necessary to know the Brazilian reality of scientific production about it. In this context, the objective of this study was to characterize the development of scientific knowledge of clinical pharmacy in Brazil. To answer the general objective of this study, the following questions were used: (I) Which are the main authors who published in the period? (II) What are the temporal trends of the publications? (III) Which were the main journals that published?; (IV) What was the language of the articles?; (V) Which were the main thematic areas found in the publications? The methodology used was a scientometric analysis in two databases. The data obtained were tabulated and transformed into graphs and tables using the Microsoft Excel 2019 program. The results showed that the authors who published the most are linked to the incentive programs of Capes, as well as, the tendency of increase of publications is from 2013 with the approval of the RDC's 585 and 586 of CFF and the law 13021/2014. The journal Einstein São Paulo obtained the highest number of publications, while English was the language of prevalence in the articles, finally, the thematic area of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy was the most studied by them.
