With the growing need of technology into varied fields, dependency is getting directly proportional to ease of user-friendly smart systems. The advent of artificial intelligence in these smart systems has made our lives easier. Several Internet of Things- (IoT-) based smart refrigerator systems are emerging which support self-monitoring of contents, but the systems lack to achieve the optimized run time and data security. Therefore, in this research, a novel design is implemented with the hardware level of integration of equipment with a more sophisticated software design. It was attempted to design a new smart refrigerator system, which has the capability of automatic self-checking and self-purchasing, by integrating smart mobile device applications and IoT technology with minimal human intervention carried through Blynk application on a mobile phone. The proposed system automatically makes periodic checks and then waits for the owner’s decision to either allow the system to repurchase these products via Ethernet or reject the purchase option. The paper also discussed the machine level integration with artificial intelligence by considering several features and implemented state-of-the-art machine learning classifiers to give automatic decisions. The blockchain technology is cohesively combined to store and propagate data for the sake of data security and privacy concerns. In combination with IoT devices, machine learning, and blockchain technology, the proposed model of the paper can provide a more comprehensive and valuable feedback-driven system. The experiments have been performed and evaluated using several information retrieval metrics using visualization tools. Therefore, our proposed intelligent system will save effort, time, and money which helps us to have an easier, faster, and healthier lifestyle.

Abstract. Intelligent System of the Battle of Honor Board Game with Decision Making and Machine Learning. The Battle of Honor is a board game where 2 players face each other to bring down their opponent's flag. This game requires a third party to act as the referee because the players cannot see each other's pawns during the game. The solution to this is to implement Rule-Based Systems (RBS) on a system developed with Unity to support the referee's role in making decisions based on the rules of the game. Researchers also develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) as opposed to applying Case-Based reasoning (CBR). The application of CBR is supported by the nearest neighbor algorithm to find cases that have a high degree of similarity. In the basic test, the results of the CBR test were obtained with the highest formulated accuracy of the 3 examiners, namely 97.101%. In testing the AI scenario as a referee, it is analyzed through colliding pieces and gives the right decision in determining victoryKeywords: The Battle of Honor, CBR, RBS, unity, AIAbstrak. The Battle of Honor merupakan permainan papan dimana 2 pemain saling berhadapan untuk menjatuhkan bendera lawannya. Kata Kunci: The Battle of Honor, CBR, RBS, unity, AI

AbstractWe explore the potential and practical challenges in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in cyber risk analytics, for improving organisational resilience and understanding cyber risk. The research is focused on identifying the role of AI in connected devices such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Through literature review, we identify wide ranging and creative methodologies for cyber analytics and explore the risks of deliberately influencing or disrupting behaviours to socio-technical systems. This resulted in the modelling of the connections and interdependencies between a system's edge components to both external and internal services and systems. We focus on proposals for models, infrastructures and frameworks of IoT systems found in both business reports and technical papers. We analyse this juxtaposition of related systems and technologies, in academic and industry papers published in the past 10 years. Then, we report the results of a qualitative empirical study that correlates the academic literature with key technological advances in connected devices. The work is based on grouping future and present techniques and presenting the results through a new conceptual framework. With the application of social science's grounded theory, the framework details a new process for a prototype of AI-enabled dynamic cyber risk analytics at the edge.

In the traditional irrigation process, a huge amount of water consumption is required which leads to water wastage. To reduce the wasting of water for this tedious task, an intelligent irrigation system is urgently needed. The era of machine learning (ML) and the Internet of Things (IoT) brings it is a great advantage of building an intelligent system that performs this task automatically with minimal human effort. In this study, an IoT enabled ML-trained recommendation system is proposed for efficient water usage with the nominal intervention of farmers. IoT devices are deployed in the crop field to precisely collect the ground and environmental details. The gathered data are forwarded and stored in a cloud-based server, which applies ML approaches to analyze data and suggest irrigation to the farmer. To make the system robust and adaptive, an inbuilt feedback mechanism is added to this recommendation system. The experimentation, reveals that the proposed system performs quite well on our own collected dataset and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur crop dataset.

This paper proposes efficient models to help diagnose respiratory (SARS-COVID19) infections by developing new data descriptors for standard machine learning algorithms using X-Ray images. As COVID-19 is a significantly serious respiratory infection that might lead to losing life, artificial intelligence plays a main role through machine learning algorithms in developing new potential data classification. Data clustering by K-Means is applied in the proposed system advanced to the training process to cluster input records into two clusters with high harmony. Principle Component Analysis PCA, histogram of orientated gradients (HOG) and hybrid PCA and HOG are developed as potential data descriptors. The wrapper model is proposed for detecting the optimal features and applied on both clusters individually. This paper proposes new preprocessed X-Ray images for dataset featurization by PCA and HOG to effectively extract X-Ray image features. The proposed systems have potentially empowered machine learning algorithms to diagnose Pneumonia (SARS-COVID19) with accuracy up to %97.

The discipline of category management has always played an important role within retailers as well as their CPG manufacturer suppliers. While the eight steps within the category management process (category definition, category role, category assessment, category scorecard, category strategies, category tactics, category implementation, and category review) have remained the same, with digitalization the discipline is undergoing a massive transformation, and the approach to the process is getting disrupted through the availability of huge volumes of transactional data, customer loyalty data; advancement in hardware technology through better scanners, image recognition devices, sensors and IoT devices and machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In this chapter, the authors take a closer look at the eight-step category management process, the traditional approach, the enabler for disruption, the new approach, and its benefits and what the future may hold.

The online English teaching system has certain requirements for the intelligent scoring system, and the most difficult stage of intelligent scoring in the English test is to score the English composition through the intelligent model. In order to improve the intelligence of English composition scoring, based on machine learning algorithms, this study combines intelligent image recognition technology to improve machine learning algorithms, and proposes an improved MSER-based character candidate region extraction algorithm and a convolutional neural network-based pseudo-character region filtering algorithm. In addition, in order to verify whether the algorithm model proposed in this paper meets the requirements of the group text, that is, to verify the feasibility of the algorithm, the performance of the model proposed in this study is analyzed through design experiments. Moreover, the basic conditions for composition scoring are input into the model as a constraint model. The research results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper has a certain practical effect, and it can be applied to the English assessment system and the online assessment system of the homework evaluation system algorithm system.

The article discusses the history of the development of the problem of using artificial intelligence systems in education and pedagogic. Two directions of its development are shown: “Computational Pedagogic” and “Educational Data Mining”, in which poorly studied aspects of the internal mechanisms of functioning of artificial intelligence systems in this field of activity are revealed. The main task is a problem of interface of a kernel of the system with blocks of pedagogical and thematic databases, as well as with the blocks of pedagogical diagnostics of a student and a teacher. The role of the pedagogical diagnosis as evident reflection of the complex influence of factors and reasons is shown. It provides the intelligent system with operative and reliable information on how various reasons intertwine in the interaction, which of them are dangerous at present, where recession of characteristics of efficiency is planned. All components of the teaching and educational system are subject to diagnosis; without it, it is impossible to own any pedagogical situation optimum. The means in obtaining information about students, as well as the “mechanisms” of work of intelligent systems based on innovative ideas of advanced pedagogical experience in diagnostics of the professionalism of a teacher, are considered. Ways of realization of skill of the teacher on the basis of the ideas developed by the American scientists are shown. Among them, the approaches of researchers D. Rajonz and U. Bronfenbrenner who put at the forefront the teacher’s attitude towards students, their views, intellectual and emotional characteristics are allocated. An assessment of the teacher’s work according to N. Flanders’s system, in the form of the so-called “The Interaction Analysis”, through the mechanism of fixing such elements as: the verbal behavior of the teacher, events at the lesson and their sequence is also proposed. A system for assessing the professionalism of a teacher according to B. O. Smith and M. O. Meux is examined — through the study of the logic of teaching, using logical operations at the lesson. Samples of forms of external communication of the intellectual system with the learning environment are given. It is indicated that the conclusion of the found productive solutions can have the most acceptable and comfortable form both for students and for the teacher in the form of three approaches. The first shows that artificial intelligence in this area can be represented in the form of robotized being in the shape of a person; the second indicates that it is enough to confine oneself only to specially organized input-output systems for targeted transmission of effective methodological recommendations and instructions to both students and teachers; the third demonstrates that life will force one to come up with completely new hybrid forms of interaction between both sides in the form of interactive educational environments, to some extent resembling the educational spaces of virtual reality.
