Perspective Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Domestic and Foreign Recruitment Companies

The introduction of artificial intelligence in any sphere of human activity today occurs at an accelerated pace. Recruiting is no exception. Is artificial intelligence able to force out selection specialists and self-interview a candidate? How do job seekers react to being interviewed by a robot, not a person? Is it possible to completely exclude a person from the personnel selection process and shift all functions to artificial intelligence? Let’s try to answer the questions posed in this article. The study analyzes the results of introducing a startup from the St. Petersburg company Stafory, which developed and introduced Vera, a robot recruiter, into the Russian and foreign HR market. The characteristic of modern software for recruiting and programs for recruitment agencies is given. The main advantages of using artificial intelligence in the system of mass recruitment of large trading companies are described.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between general self-efficacy (GSE), job search self-efficacy (JSSE), extraversion and job search success within a sample of new entrants in the labour market. It is hypothesised that JSSE acts as a mediator between GSE and job search success. Evaluation of the hireability – made by expert interviewers – of new entrants involved in a job interview simulation is proposed as a job search success criterion. Moreover, the moderating role of extraversion on the relationship between JSSE and job search success is explored.Design/methodology/approachData were collected on 177 graduates from an Italian university. Participants were involved in a simulation of an interview conducted by experts of the personnel selection process, who gave an evaluation. Macro PROCESS for SPSS was used to test the hypotheses.FindingsGSE has an indirect effect on job search success via JSSE. Moreover, extraversion has a moderating effect on the JSSE–job search success relationship for more extraverted job seekers.Practical implicationsJob search and counselling practitioners should consider extraversion and personal differences to improve the effectiveness of interventions aimed at fostering new entrants' self-regulatory resources and behaviours during the job search.Originality/valueThis study contributes to the existing research about the job search process by testing a new and important job search success criterion, showing that GSE could help new graduates in establishing a specific self-efficacy, such as JSSE, and demonstrating that extraversion interacts with JSSE.

Nowadays, an infectious disease outbreak is considered one of the most destructive effects in the sustainable development process. The outbreak of new coronavirus (COVID-19) as an infectious disease showed that it has undesirable social, environmental, and economic impacts, and leads to serious challenges and threats. Additionally, investigating the prioritization parameters is of vital importance to reducing the negative impacts of this global crisis. Hence, the main aim of this study is to prioritize and analyze the role of certain environmental parameters. For this purpose, four cities in Italy were selected as a case study and some notable climate parameters—such as daily average temperature, relative humidity, wind speed—and an urban parameter, population density, were considered as input data set, with confirmed cases of COVID-19 being the output dataset. In this paper, two artificial intelligence techniques, including an artificial neural network (ANN) based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and differential evolution (DE) algorithm, were used for prioritizing climate and urban parameters. The analysis is based on the feature selection process and then the obtained results from the proposed models compared to select the best one. Finally, the difference in cost function was about 0.0001 between the performances of the two models, hence, the two methods were not different in cost function, however, ANN-PSO was found to be better, because it reached to the desired precision level in lesser iterations than ANN-DE. In addition, the priority of two variables, urban parameter, and relative humidity, were the highest to predict the confirmed cases of COVID-19.

With the emergence of Western posthuman understandings, new materialism, artificial intelligence (AI), and the growing acknowledgment of Indigenous epistemologies, an ongoing rethinking of existing assumptions and meanings about creativity is needed. The intersection of new technologies and philosophical stances that upend human-centered views of reality suggests that creativity is not an exclusively “human” activity. This opens new possibilities and assemblages for conceiving of creativity, but not without tensions. In this article, we connect multiple threads, to reimagine creativity in light of posthuman understandings and the possibilities for creative emergence beyond the Anthropocene. Creativity is implicated as emerging beyond non-human spaces, such as through digitality and AI or sources in the natural world. This unseats many understandings of creativity as positioned in Euro-Western literature. We offer four areas of concern for interrogating tensions in this area, aiming to open new possibilities for practice, research, and (re)conceptualization beyond Western understandings.

One of the most important function of human resources is personnel selection process. This process should be done professionally, in a short time and with minimum cost. After personnel selection process, performance of the hired person is very important for the permanence and success of the company. From this point of view, the aim of this study is to select a personnel among the candidates efficiently, with minimum cost and within a short time in one of the leading companies of Turkey in automotive sector. In order to select the right personnel all criterias which has great impact on blue collar worker selection was decided and these criterias are weighted. From the candidate pool of automotive company, appropriate candidates were selected by using TOPSIS AND ELECTRE method which are multi-criteria decision making methods


The AI and the Interview Chat bot used in the system will be the future for any recruitment process as it effectively saves the time /effort and improves the efficiency of the recruitment process. The selection process through the bot will be unbiased and also will be speedy as multiple interviews can be done at the same time. Chatbots will also make the interviewee comfortable as it may be integrated on mobile platform. To summarise, the future of the interviewing process will be made simple by use of the chatbots

Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic technologies have recently been increasingly used in various areas of human activity. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to consider the medical, social and economic aspects of the use of artificial intelligence in various spheres of human activity. The reason for people turning to the above-mentioned innovations is to expand a number of human capabilities, increase labor productivity, reduce the negative impact of the human factor, etc. The social aspect of the use of robotic technologies should also not be underestimated. The economic aspects of the use of artificial intelligence and robotic technologies are the possibility of optimizing the number of labor resources, replacing a whole staff of auxiliary workers, which can significantly reduce the salary fund in general and the costs of a company using such technologies, in particular.

We study whether differences in management can explain variation in productivity and how more effective managers can be recruited in absence of high-powered incentives. To investigate this, we first extend the canonical teacher value-added model to account for school principals, and we document substantial variation in their ability to improve students’ learning. Teachers’ survey responses and quasi-experimental designs based on changes in school management validate our measure of principal effectiveness. Then, we leverage the timing of adoption of a civil service reform and show that despite having relatively rigid wages, public schools were able to attract more effective managers after increasing the competitiveness and transparency of their personnel selection process.

BACKGROUND Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that results from the demyelination of the nerves in the Central Nervous System. The diagnosis depends on clinical history, neurological examination, and radiological images. Artificial Intelligence proved to be an effective tool in enhancing the diagnostic tools of MS. OBJECTIVE To explore how AI assisted in diagnosis and predicting the progression of MS. METHODS We used three bibliographic databases in our search: PubMed IEEE Xplore and Cochrane in our search. The study selection process included: removal of duplicated articles, screening titles and abstracts, and reading the full text. This process was performed by two reviewers. The data extracted from the included studies have been filled in an Excel sheet. This step had been done by each reviewer accordingly to the assigned articles. The extracted data sheet was checked by two reviewers to have accuracy ensured. The narrative approach is applied in data synthesis. RESULTS The search conducted resulted in 320 articles Removing duplicates and excluding the ineligible articles due to irrelevancy to the population, intervention, and outcomes resulted in excluding 299 articles. Thus, our review will include 21 articles for data extraction and data synthesis. CONCLUSIONS Artificial Intelligence is becoming a trend in the medical field. Its contribution in enhancing the diagnostic tools of many diseases, as in MS, is prominent and can be built on in further development plans. However, the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Multiple Sclerosis is not widespread to confirm the benefits gained, and the datasets involved in the current practice are relatively small. It is recommended to have more studies that focus on the relationship between the employment of AI in diagnosis and monitoring progression and the accuracy gained by this employment.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to summarize some of the key gaps in knowledge regarding the use of criminal records in employee selection and post-hire challenges that those with a criminal record may continue to face. Design/methodology/approach This paper is a general review and introduction to the special issue on criminal history and employment. Findings The authors suggest that understanding the “what,” “how,” “why” and “who” may provide researchers with increased clarity regarding the relevance and use of criminal records within the employee selection process. Research limitations/implications The authors encourage researchers to explore the management constructs and theories to understand how they may operate and affect this population upon entry into the workplace. Additionally, the authors discuss some of the methodological challenges and considerations related to conducting research on this population. Originality/value While researchers continue to seek and better understand the experiences of job seekers with criminal records and specific barriers to fulfilling work, there are many aspects of the pre- and post-employment experience that are not yet well examined. This paper provides a pathway forward for management researchers within the area of criminal history and employment, an understudied yet relevant topic.
