Since the concept of “literary evolution” proposed by Yuri Tynyanov could not be applied to the late Soviet official literature, Sergei Averintsev using this concept examined the relationship between philosophy, sophistry, rhetorics and everyday consciousness in classical Greece. Tynyanov's theory of “parallel series” turned out to be productive for the reconstruction of the tasks of the ancient philosopher and for the interpretation of Plato's dialogues. According Averintsev, Plato acted within the sophistic field, creating irreducible terminology and untranslatable phrases as a moment of the entire further evolution of Western literature. Consideration of Russian formalism as the context of Averintsev's thought proves his contribution to the discussion of Platonism as a tool for posing philosophical problems and of the perspective of philosophy in the postcolonial discussion.

Turkish poets turn to religious topics immediately after converting to Islam. The orientation towards Western literature led to the adoption of the poetic forms. Society's worldview changed. After the Tanzimat, the religious elements continued to be present in Turkish literature, but through the prizm of social relations in Turkish society. The authors found inspiration in the religious images in the holy books. Both their hardships and their personal virtues were described. The poets emphasized their determination and steadfastness in the name of good. They set personal examples of modesty, tolerance, strength and self-sacrifice. Through the religious images, poets sent messages to the modern people.

With the emergence of Western posthuman understandings, new materialism, artificial intelligence (AI), and the growing acknowledgment of Indigenous epistemologies, an ongoing rethinking of existing assumptions and meanings about creativity is needed. The intersection of new technologies and philosophical stances that upend human-centered views of reality suggests that creativity is not an exclusively “human” activity. This opens new possibilities and assemblages for conceiving of creativity, but not without tensions. In this article, we connect multiple threads, to reimagine creativity in light of posthuman understandings and the possibilities for creative emergence beyond the Anthropocene. Creativity is implicated as emerging beyond non-human spaces, such as through digitality and AI or sources in the natural world. This unseats many understandings of creativity as positioned in Euro-Western literature. We offer four areas of concern for interrogating tensions in this area, aiming to open new possibilities for practice, research, and (re)conceptualization beyond Western understandings.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse two experimental “novels of the self”, written by two of the most innovative Jewish-Romanian writers of the ’30s: Max Blecher and H. Bonciu, stressing on those aspects they have in common with the mainstream of the twentieth-century Western literature. In both authors, inward disquietude is experienced as outward atmosphere, submerging the world in indefinable strangeness and mystery. In this context, the concept of “inner exile” and “fragmented self” may prove useful in defining the particular status of the narrators’perspective, as well as their relationship with the world (objects, settings, invisible traps, “sickly” or “healing” spaces).

Abstract This study analyses the contemporary narrator’s paradoxical legitimacy and reveals how it mirrors the equally paradoxical filiation that is taking on new shape in contemporary thought. It also addresses the ability of literature to form unexpected connections; sheds new light on the nature of contemporary filiation by linking it to the spiritual filiation in Christianity; and addresses the definition of filiation itself within literary texts as reflecting some of the main issues of contemporary filiation. The study begins with the examination of the status of the narrator in several contemporary works, revealing one of the most interesting paradoxes of contemporary literature, and going on to analyze the configuration of a conceptual model in which paradoxical filiation becomes the condition for the emergence of success from a narrative of failure.

Abstract Introduction: Bone marrow transplant, both Autograft and Allograft produces profound immune-suppression and breach of mucosal surfaces leading to many opportunistic infections. There is a difference between infection pattern in countries like India compared to western countries. The western literature is more bothered about reactivation of viral and fungal infections, whereas Indian bone marrow transplant physicians are worried about losing patient to refractory gram negative sepsis. In this study, we have tried to decode the pattern of bacterial infections in Indian transplant patients and tried to suggest an antibiotic stewardship for the same. Materials and methods: This retrospective study included all bone marrow transplants with Febrile neutropenia done at our hospital from September 2014 to July 2021. A total of 440 patients were included and their pattern of bacterial infections with culture sensitivity and response to antibiotics were noted. Results: 36% of patients we included in the study were aged between 40 to 60 years and the age range was from 2 years to 72 years. 59% were autograft and among Allograft 36% were haplo-identical bone marrow transplant. Nearly half the patients presented with fever above 99.5 F and tachycardia as the presenting sign. The WBC count during first episode febrile neutropenia was less than 100cells/cumm in around 25% patients. Empirical antibiotics post culture samples were initiated within 10 min in 95% of patients. Cefoperazone Sulbactum and Amikacin were started empirically as first line in all. Culture positivity rate was 22.7% of which 60% were multi-drug resistant gram negative bacilli which were sensitive only to Colistin / Fosfomycin / Tigecycline. This 60% MDR GNB is very high which may be partially due to MDR bugs in normal intestinal flora of patients from this part of the world. The common Gram-negative bacteria are Pseudomonas, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella. This made us to change antibiotic stewardship policy to Colistin / Fosfomycin / Ceftazidime avibactum very early in course in case of second fever / Hypotension or tachycardia. Our transplant related mortality is around 3% in Allograft due to sepsis and 0% in autograft. The rate of gram positive bacteremia is only 2% and this makes us think of avoiding drugs like Teicoplanin / Glycopeptides in first line empirical therapy. Conclusion: This seven year study had shown 22.7% culture positivity rate in febrile neutropenia transplant patients of which 60% are multi-drug resistant bacteria which is highly contrary to western literature. The rate of gram positive culture growth is only 2% which is lower than western literature. This study implies the importance of region and center specific antibiotic policy for febrile neutropenia and a generalized policy may not work always. Reference:- 1. Imitations of texts of foreign origin, as a form of cross-cultural rewriting, are of considerable interest to literary comparatists, though much of this interest has been targeted at the transference of thematic material. The concept of influence becomes incurably vague in many accounts of Chinese imitations of Western literature, for instance, precisely because the ‘textual’ links are neglected. The author believes that translation studies can help throw some light on what influence is all about, in ways that comparative literary studies has not. The present article focuses specifically on three Chinese imitations of Joyce ’s Ulyssesfrom the early 1960s, all published in Hong Kong. The styles and strategies of these imitations are contrasted with those of one translation of the “Hades” episode from 1960. In the conclu-sion, an attempt is made to address the different conceptualizations of imitation in China and the West, and to justify the inclusion of imitations as a viable object of investigation in translation studies.

What is the role of translation in Maragall’s work? If his first goal was to bestow cultural support to Catalan literature with the addition of the European authors of Modernism, the second stage of the Catalan poet’s agenda becomes more ambitious, delving into the origins of Western literature and culminating in the translation of the Homeric Hymns. My contribution analyzes how, on the one hand, the Catalan rewriting of the works of Nietzsche, Goethe, Novalis, or Dante draws a progressive and continuous line within Maragall’s ideas; and, on the other hand, what impact these versions have on his own literary creation, through the loanwords that spread across his translations, and his poetry.

A soberania representa uma das articulações políticas mais importantes da Modernidade, a qual convencionou a separação entre as políticas interna e externa. Posto isso, entendemos que para compreender o mundo em que vivemos é necessário pensar essa categoria à luz do contexto contemporâneo, então, com o objetivo de contribuir para o estudo desse conceito, no presente artigo apresentaremos uma revisão do debate atual sobre a categoria de soberania. Para esse fim, nos apoiaremos em um exame da literatura ocidental de Relações Internacionais (RI), com foco em autores americanos, considerando que a produção de conhecimento dos Estados Unidos (EUA) é preponderante dentro deste campo. Esclarecemos que o debate na esfera destacada pode ser dividido em duas linhas de pesquisa que serão exploradas neste texto. A primeira aborda o aprofundamento da globalização e os efeitos desse processo sobre soberania e a segunda discute como são socialmente construídos os discursos sobre essa categoria.Palavras-Chave: Teoria; Relações Internacionais; Soberania.ABSTRACTSovereignty represents one of the most important political articulations of Modernity, which established the separation between internal and external policies. That said, we understand that in order to understand the world in which we live, it is necessary to think about this category in the light of the contemporary context, so, in order to contribute to the study of this concept, in this article we’ll present a review of the current debate on the category of sovereignty. To that end, we’ll rely on an examination of the Western International Relations (IR) literature, focusing on American authors, considering that the production of knowledge from the United States (USA) is predominant within this field. We clarify that the debate in the highlighted sphere can be divided into two lines of research that will be explored in this text.
