Performance management is one of the most important fields of management. For the evaluation of it, I have worked out a questionnary. With the help of the questionnaire I intended to ask about the importance and method of performance evaluation. Based on my examinations I found, that in managers opinions the best way to appraisal disabled person was the individual appraisial. This result is not a suprise, because of disabled persons. Because of the managers' practise there was a difference in opinions. But in theirs opinion the most important possibility was the individual appraisal too. It is nonsense to expect self appraisal from a mentally handicapped person. Examinations show that organizations mainly apply traditional systems and think by the traditional aspect.

The project “Development of an Industry Test Facility and Qualification Processes for in-line inspection (ILI) technology Evaluation and Enhancements” aims to expand knowledge of ILI technology performance and identify gaps where new technology is needed. Additionally, this project also aims to provide ILI technology developers, researchers and pipeline operators a continuing resource for accessing test samples with a range of pipeline integrity threats and vintages; and inline technology test facilities at the Technology Development Center (TDC) of Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. (PRCI), a PRCI managed facility available for future industry and PHMSA research projects. An ILI pull test facility was designed and constructed as part of this project based on industry state-of-the-art and opportunities for capability improvement. The major ILI technology providers, together with pipeline operator team members, reviewed the TDC sample inventory and developed a series of ILI performance tests illustrating one of multiple possible research objectives, culminating in 16-inch and 24-inch nominal diameter test strings. The ILI technology providers proposed appropriate inspection tools based on the types of the integrity threats in the test strings, a series of pull tests of the provided ILI tools were performed, and the technology providers delivered reports of integrity anomaly location and dimensions for performance evaluation. Quantitative measures of detection and sizing performance were confidentially disclosed to the individual ILI technology providers. For instances where ILI predictions were outside of claimed performance, the vendors were given a limited sample of actual defect data to enable re-analysis, thus demonstrating the potential for improved integrity assessment with validation measurements. In this paper, an evaluation of the ILI data obtained from repeated pull-through testing on the 16 and 24-inch pipeline strings at the TDC is performed. The resulting data was aligned, analyzed, and compared to truth data and the findings of the evaluation are presented.

Increasingly, research on disability has been guided by a definition that focuses on the interaction between the individual and the environment and by a minority-group perspective based on the propositions that discriminatory attitudes are the primary source of the problems of disabled citizens, that the environment is shaped by public policy, and that policies reflect prevalent social attitudes and values. The implications of this approach for an analysis of the experience of disabled persons in Los Angeles are examined by assessing major characteristics of this urban area such as geographic dispersion, the absence of a sense of community, and the impact of pervasive standards of personal appearance. The investigation indicates a pressing need to provide increased accessibility for disabled residents to fulfill constitutional principles of freedom and equality.

In the Mexican legal system, specifically regarding the responsabilities of government employees, the influence of the Spanish law is clear, being it´s precedent the residence trial, which main function was to punish officers who held public office in conquered lands and violated dispositions issued by the Spanish crown. The main objective was to punish public officers for their poor fulfillment of the assigned functions. The Mexican liability of public officers trial has the same purpose as the Spanish residence trial, it even has similar sanctions which can go from admonitions to becoming ineligible for public office. Much has been said regarding the fact that the Mexican amparo trial (protection of civil liberties) finds its precedents on the Spanish residence trial, however I must disagree, mainly because the amparo´s trial main objective is to compensate the individuals for suffering violations to their human rights by any authority, in other words the amparo trial is mainly about the individual´s protection, while the residence trial focuses on the performance evaluation of the officers, for it aims to sanction the officers for their performance; therefore I do not consider there is a direct relation between both procedures.

While resumes and interviews are a part of the typical process of obtaining a job, they are not the only tools that can be used.  A career portfolio is a more complete tool.  In the portfolio, the applicant includes a resume but adds evidence of abilities, knowledge, skills, and potential.  These documents build credibility.  A student who is graduating and seeking an entry-level position would likely include documents produced during academic coursework.  Across a career, such documents would be replaced with projects completed on the job and with the permission of the employer.  It can assist the individual demonstrate qualifications in a performance evaluation or for promotion.  Thus, the career portfolio can be useful in obtaining an internship or entry-level position and throughout a career’s progression.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a performance management (PM) scale questionnaire that encompasses the pre-requisite, performance planning, performance evaluation, performance review, and performance application dimensions of PM. Design/methodology/approach In the study, the 33 questionnaire questions were first validated using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and then by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) along the three performance dimensions. The research sample consists of 330 entrepreneurs. The factor analysis results confirm the validity of the questionnaire as a reliable entrepreneur PM evaluation tool, as evidenced by the composite reliability of 0.845 and the average variance extracted of 0.532. Findings All constructs revealed the acceptable internal consistency reliability. A good model fit was found for the measurement model using several fit index like χ2=449.983, degree of freedom=415, p-value (p)=0.114, goodness of fit index=0.927, adjusted goodness of fit index=0.901, root mean square error of approximation=0.016, and root of mean square residuals=0.032. Research limitations/implications The PM model was examined using EFA and CFA only. A sample with only SMEs entrepreneurs and large sample size and sample area can be used in future research. Practical implications This research paper is an endeavor to explore only the reliability and validity of the PM model. Thus all the five dimension, namely “pre-requisite” “performance planning,” “performance evaluation,” “performance review,” and “performance application” proved out of be reliable and validated when it will be tested in case of SMEs’ high-growth sectors and high-impact sectors. Originality/value The main contribution of this research is that all factors have a good fit and acceptable reliability value; each factor can be measured individually depending on the nature of the research.
