The aim of this research is to determine the effects of artificial wall climbing - which was performed by primary school students- as a recreative activity on children’s locus of control. Artificial wall climbing represents itself as a learning point beyond a sportive activity while creating an opportunity for participants to discover the limits of their own and that of others’, and opening a path for learning through experience by rendering the participants active rather than passive.The research was designed as one group pre-test – post-test model. The sample of the study is the same as the study population. 40 (15 female, 25 male) students studying in 7th and 8th grades of primary school attended voluntarily in this study.  Climbing practices were determined according to students' free time. Climbing practices were planned to be 90 minutes each. It is organized two days in a week between at least twenty-four hours. The test lasted 6 weeks in total. The activity which started with warm-up exercises suited for the age group was configured as a developmental schema as it started with top rope and extended to lead climbing route again on the climbing routes suited for the age groups. During the practice, it was ensured to provide knowledge and skills for not only climbing skills but also for other topics such as basic knowledge of climbing techniques, basic knots and belaying. The practice lasted six weeks and the questionnaire was applied before and after.To determine whether participants had a tendency towards externalizing or internalizing bias, "Nowicki-Strickland Locus of Control Scale" was used.As a result of the statistical analysis, it was observed that there are significant differences between pre-test and the difference of differences regarding the gender discrepancy and between pre-test and post-test scores regarding the total scores (p<0.05).The group of activities carried out for the artificial wall climbing led to a positive development in the children’s perception of locus of control and it was seen that children's beliefs on what’s happening around them is under their control and they can turn their lives in whichever direction they want were positively influenced.

The study aimed to measure the effect of teaching programming using Scratch on Self-motivation towards learning programming for primary school students in Riyadh. Twenty-five 4th-grade students participated in the study. A quasi-experimental design was applied. Pre and post-tests were utilized using a motivational scale towards learning programming designed by the researchers to include three dimensions: perseverance, ambition and enjoyment. Participants received Scratch lessons for the duration of a semester. The results showed significant differences in favor of the post-test in all dimensions of the scale. In addition, students' self-motivation towards learning programming has improved by 22.8% in the average rate of the scale. The results showed the improvement rate of students' self-motivation towards learning programming to the scale axes (perseverance, ambition, enjoyment) as follows: 20.9%, 23.8%, and 23.6% respectively. Moreover, the order of items and the improvement rate were different according to the pre-test and post-test; although all the items were positive.

This study aims to describe the implementation of multimedia learning in blended learning in mathematics in grade 4 elementary schools on the topic of fractions. Articulated storyline is an effective medium for elementary school students that is easily developed as one of the multimedia blended learning used in the blended learning method. In our research we examined how the impact of implementation blended learning using multimedia articulated storylines, In this case, it is also discussed how the influence of multimedia articulation storylines as one of the multimedia that can be developed easily to help teachers in distance learning, especially mathematics learning in schools. Primary school related to fraction learning. In this research, students are taught how to interpret the understanding of the concept of fraction problems and proof in life related to mathematics learning problems, so that they can describe mathematical problems and can understand the concept of fractions using logical reasoning so that they are able to prove reasoning about fraction problems according to their abilities. The use of reasoning is needed to determine the concepts that have been made based on the understanding of the concept of fractions that the students have. This study was designed to see the effect of blended learning which is applied as a learning model used to teach logical reasoning in mathematics learning, especially about fraction problems, and how the effect of the application of blended learning on learning outcomes of primary school students at Muhammadiyah Elementary School Pangkalpinang

The purpose of this research was to study the impact of collaborative learning strategies on social maturity and its various dimensions viz. personal adequacy, interpersonal adequacy, and social adequacy, of secondary school students. The study was quasiexperimental and used matched pairs pre-test post-test research design. A Higher Secondary School in Educational Zone Hiranagar of District Kathua was chosen for the intervention. The study was conducted on sixty-six students of two sections of class 9th. Two sections were randomly assigned to collaborative and traditional learning conditions. Four methods of collaborative learning viz. Think-Pair-Share, Numbered Heads Together, Jigsaw, and Fish-Bowl were used for a period of over five weeks. The results were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and a critical ratio (CR). The results of the study showed that this approach was successful in increasing personal adequacy, interpersonal adequacy, social adequacy and overall social maturity of secondary school students.

Science education in Rwandan schools still faces a number of challenges including the lack or shortage of equipment available for science experiments. This paper describes research conducted to assess the impact of using improvised versus conventional laboratory equipment in experiments. Eighty-five lower secondary school students were assessed using a semi-experimental post-test design on thermal expansion of bodies. Data analysis using a t-test produced a t-Stat of 2.74 over a t-Critical of 1.98 indicating a statistical significance between the two experimental groups in favour of the group using improvised equipment. As a result, it is recommended that improvised equipment be used in those instances in which there is a lack or shortage of conventional equipment since students’ achievement was similar regardless of the type of equipment used.

The objective of the current research is to identify the effect of using the student's guide bag on the attitudes and professional tendencies of high school students who have learning difficulties in Riyadh city. The researcher used two tools: the student's guide bag and the vocational awareness scale. After the data were collected and statistically analyzed by calculating the arithmetic mean to identify the differences between the pre-test and post-test of the occupational awareness scale, and the ETA box (2). The study found that there are statistically significant differences At a level of significance less than (0.05) among the average responses of secondary school students who have learning difficulties in the tribal and post-application of the vocational awareness scale. There is a high impact on the effectiveness of the student's student bag program to improve vocational awareness among high school students who have learning difficulties To study the need to pay attention to vocational guidance and support materially and morally, and to participate students who have learning difficulties themselves in planning guidance programs.

Kajian lalu menunjukkan kebolehan mengarang karangan dalam kalangan murid sekolah rendah adalah rendah. Oleh hal yang demikian, kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji kesan penggunaan peta pemikiran terhadap tahap penulisan karangan Bahasa Melayu dalam kalangan murid tahun lima. Penyelidik menggunakan kaedah eksperimen kuasi melibatkan satu sampel kajian yang terdiri daripada 64 murid sekolah rendah yang dibahagikan sama rata kepada satu kumpulan perlakuan dan satu kumpulan kawalan. Para murid dalam kumpulan pertama menggunakan peta pemikiran dalam pengajaran karangan, sementara kumpulan kedua menggunakan kaedah tradisional. Ujian pra dan ujian pasca digunakan untuk mendapatkan data yang dianalisis dengan Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) versi 21. Bagi kumpulan perlakuan, analisis data menunjukkan skor pasca ujian min murid adalah lebih tinggi dari skor pra ujian min mereka, sekali gus menunjukkan mereka memperoleh peningkatan dalam penulisan karangan dari segi kandungan dan pengolahan idea. Dapatan yang sama juga menunjukkan skor pasca ujian min murid dalam kumpulan perlakuan adalah lebih tinggi dari min skor yang sama bagi mereka dalam kumpulan kawalan, sekali gus menunjukkan kumpulan perlakuan adalah lebih berprestasi daripada kumpulan kawalan. Dapatan kajian ini mempunyai implikasi dalam amalan pengajaran semasa. Guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu boleh menggunakan peta pemikiran sebagai satu alat pengajaran bagi membantu murid sekolah rendah belajar menulis karangan dengan lebih berkesan.   Studies have shown that students’ essay writing abilities of primary school students are low. As such, this study was carried out to examine the extent of the effects of using thinking maps on the teaching of Malay language essay writing among Year Five students. In this study, the researchers used a quasi-experimental method involving a study sample consisting of 64 primary school students were divided equally into a treatment group and a control group. The former used thinking maps in essay writing learning, while the latter used a traditional method. A pre-test and a post-test were used to obtain the data, which were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 21. For the treatment group, the analysis of data showed students’ mean post-test scores were significantly higher than their mean pre-test scores, indicating they made significant improvements in essay writing in terms of content and ideation. The same analysis also showed students’ mean post-test scores in the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group, indicating the former outperformed the latter. These findings have a practical implication for the current teaching practice. Malay language teachers can use thinking maps as a teaching tool to help primary school students effectively learn to write essays.

Abstract Research evidence on traditional dance teaching has shown how important it is for primary school education to institute reforms and present new ways of intervention in order to contribute effectively to the overall development of the child's personality. The aim of this research is a) to demonstrate the effectiveness of a music and movement instructional program on traditional dance learning, in terms of primary school students patterns of self-reported positive learning experiences and active lesson participation and b) to examine its impact on students’ internal motivation to play and dance with a more enjoyable and creative mood. During a period of six months 80 students (34 boys and 46 girls) aged between 9-10 years old, took part in the research. They were divided into two groups, the experimental group (N = 40) and control group (N = 40). The experimental group was taught Greek traditional dances according to a Music and Movement teaching model, while the control group was taught the same dances with a direct teaching model. The impact of the two models on students’ motivation to participate actively during the lesson was tested with the use of the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI). The results showed that the use of Music and Movement teaching models can have a positive impact on students’ intrinsic motivation and active participation in the course of traditional dance.

Advocates of quality daily physical education for prepubescent children frequently encounter the argument that such initiatives will harm academic progress. The impact of daily physical education upon the academic performance of primary school students is thus reviewed with particular reference to studies conducted in Vanves (France), Australia, and Trois Rivières (Québec). When a substantial proportion of curricular time (14–26%) is allocated to physical activity, learning seems to proceed more rapidly per unit of classroom time, so that academic performance matches, and may even exceed, that of control students. Children receiving additional physical education show an acceleration of their psychomotor development, and this could provide a mechanism for accelerated learning of academic skills. Other potential mechanisms include increased cerebral blood flow, greater arousal, changes in hormone levels, enhanced nutrient intake, changes in body build, and increased self esteem. Academic teachers may also favor the enhanced physical education program, creating “halo” effects, and the resulting release time may enhance their academic teaching. Irrespective of mechanisms, the implication for public policy is that daily required physical education can be introduced when a child enters primary school without compromising academic development. Given the importance of establishing positive health habits from an early age, school boards should be encouraged to follow a policy of required daily physical activity in primary schools. Evidence of specific benefit in students with learning disabilities remains less convincing.

Introduction: Tsunami in Indonesia become a threat to society, especially for vulnerable groups. Primary school students are one of the vulnerable groups that should have adequate preparedness both in their knowledge and attitudes in facing the tsunami. To support the preparedness, a tabletop tsunami simulator has been developed. Objective: To describe the tsunami preparedness of school-age children and to assess the impact of the tabletop tsunami simulator on the knowledge and attitudes of school children towards tsunamis. Methods: The study design was a one group pre-test – post-test design with a total participant of 157 students. The research instrument used was a tabletop tsunami simulator and a questionnaire to assess knowledge and attitude towards tsunamis. The statistical test used was the Mann Whitney test. The inclusion criteria included primary school 5th and 6th grade students, had a smartphone, and were willing to be participants. The data was collected using Google form and had obtained ethical approval number 62/SDS/KEPK/TL/VI/2020. Result: The Mann Whitney test showed a significant effect between the tabletop tsunami simulator and the participants’ knowledge of tsunamis with a p-value of 0.000 (p-value <0.05). In the attitude variable, an increase in the attitude score between the pre-test and post-test was also observed. The average attitude score increased from 32.99 to 34.97, with a p-value = 0.000. Conclusion: There is a significant effect between the tabletop tsunami simulator with the participants’ knowledge and attitudes in facing the threat of a tsunami.
