An argument regarding the Alliance’s reluctance to actively engage in partner nations is also presented. The objective of the study is to consider the repercussions of NATO aspiration and introduce the real prospects of cooperation with NATO. The research methods primarily used in the book are comparative analysis and synthesis.

The study is carried out in line with general problems of the history of state- church relations in the conditions of the Soviet totalitarian system. For a long time modern historiography did not pay proper attention to anti-religious politics in the USSR in 1939–1941, both at general and regional levels. Most scholars avoided themes related to repressive policy regarding worshipers in the years following the Great Terror, and some even noted the liberalization of the course of the Soviet leadership in the field of religion and church on the eve of the German-Soviet war, which began in June 1941. The purpose of the study is to highlight political repressions against the clergy and believers of various Christian denominations in Dnipropetrovsk region in 1939–1942. Research methods: problem-chronological, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, analysis, synthesis. The main results of the work. The process of preparation and further implementation of repressions of the clergy and active believers of various religious groups of Dnipropetrovsk region in 1939–1942 is highlighted. Dozens of convicted worshipers and “sectarians” are identified by name. Nature of accusations and peculiarities of imposed sentences are determined. The course of collective cases fabricated by the NKVD bodies against the Orthodox clergy is shown. Repressive measures of the authorities in the initial period of the German-Soviet war are analyzed. The continuity of the state anti-religious course and the use of terror until 1942 is proved. The originality of the work is in the use and analysis of numerous previously unknown archival documents which helped to disclose the formulated scientific problem. Practical value: despite the regional limitations of the study, the materials of the article are useful not only to local historians, but also to church historians for further development of the problems in the outlined chronological framework. Type of article: analytical.

The purpose of the article is to identify the features of branding campaigns of Ukrainian art museums and their impact on increasing the popularity of museum institutions; and finding out the effectiveness of design approaches in such campaigns. Research methods are based on the application of comparative, formal-stylistic, iconological analysis and deconstruction method. The novelty of the research is to analyze the branding campaigns of art museums in order to learn from their experience and effective design solutions. The article also reveals the problem of integration of the viewer into the museum environment and the attempt through design to go beyond the imposed stereotypes, to overcome the attitude to art as a field alien to the average viewer. Conclusions. As a result of the analysis of branding campaigns of iconic Ukrainian art museums we come to the conclusion about their efficiency both for separate establishments, and for all culture in general. Comparative analysis of different approaches has shown the importance of identifying the uniqueness of institutions and attempts to reflect it in the design of identity. And although today we can talk about the belated transformation of the museum environment in Ukraine, which has been shedding boring socialist-realist cloaks almost three decades after the restoration of independence, it is important to note that this process coincides with the global trend of renewal of world museums. Design is becoming a cultural strategy that aims more than changing the image: it must turn the museum into a subjective player in the cultural field, able to think not in terms of power but in terms of culture. Therefore, the rebranding of the country’s iconic art museums can be called without exaggeration one of the most important cultural achievements since the restoration of independence. This process also demonstrated the current demand for design as a cultural strategy that can establish visual bridges between art professionals and potential viewers, as well as change cultural codes, set trends and thus influence the change of image of the city and country.

The article considers the anti-representational paradigm regarding the concept of “language” presented by the American thinker, the founder of neopragmatism, Richard Rorty. Richard Rorty is the most cited philosopher in the Western philosophical community, the popularity of the texts of the American thinker, and the resonance of his ideas in the modern philosophical community are of great interest and discussion. The relevance of the topic in the context of postmodern society is dictated by the fact that modern American philosophy, in particular, neopragmatism and the concept of “language”, are insufficiently studied and covered in Ukrainian philosophical studies. The purpose of the article is to update the discussions about the philosophical tradition of neopragmatism by Richard Rorty regarding the concept of “language”. The research methods of the study are comparative analysis and descriptive reconstruction. In the course of the study, the following provisions of the philosophy of Richard Rorty have been analyzed: criticism of the epistemilogization of the discourse of philosophy; analysis of the main provisions of neopragmatism, in particular, the theory of truth and anti-representational paradigm regarding the concept of “language” as the basic concepts of human culture. The analysis of the specifics of the formulation and understanding of the main philosophical ideas in R. Rorty’s neopragmatic theory of knowledge allows approaching their analysis unconventionally, which does not refute, but complements and deepens the classical concepts, allowing them to be fruitfully applied to solving problems of specific sciences.
