Based on the example of Darren Aronofsky’s film Black Swan, the article explores the disillusive potential of interfering with the classic model of film dramaturgy. Referring to the traditional paradigm developed by Syd Field, the author indicates deviations from the conventional narrative that occur in Aronofsky’s film. The text seeks to confirm the thesis that contemporary cinematography exemplifies the trend of abandoning the attempts to create a seemingly referential world. By questioning the fundamental structure of the film’s dramaturgy, Black Swan provides additional interpretive possibilities. However, displaying the constituent elements of a work, for example, by transaccentuating their meaning or changing their place or length of occurrence, is not the most obvious disillusionment strategy. It may in fact remain hidden until the moment of careful analysis.

Very little is known about diplomatic professionals specialising in eastern affairs in the Muscovite state until the seventeenth century. The issue has only occasionally been touched upon in some research works. This is explained by the limited number of surviving sources. For this reason, the Baymakov-Rezanov family is unique, as the extant data make it possible to trace the uninterrupted service of this clan’s representatives over the course of a century. This is thanks to cadastres and embassy records from both sides, a few extant documents from the Ambassadorial Prikaz, and the family’s persistent nickname. Ambassadorial service was a family business where traditions were passed from generation to generation, from elder sons to younger ones. Several generations of Baymakov-Rezanovs took part in organising the diplomatic contacts of the Muscovite state with Muslim countries as reconnaissance riders (Rus. stanichniki) and interpreters (Rus. tolmachi). They repeatedly headed diplomatic missions and were very well paid for their work. The examination of their family’s story makes it possible to observe the organisation of diplomatic service from a longer historical perspective. Initially, the technical side of contacts with the countries of the east was organised by princely Tartars, who served the grand prince proper. They were provided with land close to Moscow. Gradually, they started forming smaller groups of specialists, such as translators (Rus. bakshei), tolmachi, stanichniki, and the newly baptised (Rus. novokrescheny). This structure was largely destroyed by the Time of Troubles. This affected the circle of people recruited to the service; it grew considerably and was quite often created in accordance with the demands of the moment. Over time, it was predominated by service Tartars from Meshchera. The classic model of the peripheral staff of the Ambassadorial Prikaz, consisting of translators and tolmachi, only formed in the mid-seventeenth century as inherited positions dwindled significantly.

ABSTRACT Objective: to identify meanings about neoplasia in drawings of adolescents affected by the disease. Method: this is a qualitative, descriptive study with three adolescents assisted by an association of leukemic parents and friends. The design of adolescents was used as a research tool and the theory of semiotic image analysis. The narrative of the drawing and the figure itself were considered, observing: color, stroke, shape, constituent elements and representation of the figure. Results: it is noteworthy that, in the drawings, gray tones predominated and little colored, which shows fear and insecurity, feelings that are common in diseases and that translate the situation experienced by adolescents with limiting disease with risks of being terminal. It is revealed that human figures appear with fine features and childishly for the age, and although they were encouraged to verbalize about their illness, few spoke and the statements confirmed the results obtained through the drawings. Conclusion: the perception of the adolescents' experience with cancer was revealed through the use of the drawing, revealing their feelings about the moment they experienced and could be used as an auxiliary therapeutic process. Descriptors: Neoplasias; Adolescent; Emotions Manifests; Graphics; Disease; Psychology. The article provides a comparative analysis of the legal regulation of proof and evidence in civil and arbitration proceedings, administrative proceedings. From the point of view of the unity and differentiation of the civil procedural form, the problems of legal regulation of proof and evidence in three procedural regulations are considered. The author considers the concept of judicial law as a methodological basis for unification in the legal regulation of proof and evidence. Judicial law is considered as a possible basis for the unity of civil procedure, its main concepts are highlighted: the unity of the goals of civil procedure; the unity of the principles of civil procedure; systemic interconnection of its constituent elements. As a result of the study, the author came to the conclusion that there are unjustified discrepancies in the legal regulation of proof and evidence. The author deduces this conclusion from the analysis of the mechanism of proof, enshrined in three procedural rules, the study of the rules for the distribution of the burden of proof, the admissibility of evidence and the exclusion of evidence. Proposals have been made to improve the legal regulation of proof and evidence, aimed at eliminating unjustified discrepancies. Also, the study raises questions about determining the moment from which the evidence presented by the person participating in the case may lose legal force.

At the moment, in the business world, customer care is one of the most important organizational priorities. Organizations invest a lot, sometimes too much, in this purpose. That kind of investments are not always properly supported and analyzed by organizations, and often they are based on competitors' benchmark, instead of a careful analysis of the organizational internal needs. Customer orientation is just being kind with the client and trying to get as much information as possible out of the client, in order to increase its lifetime profitability. One of the trends that proliferate is the investment (most of the time, expenditure) in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) technologies. CRM is continuously perceived in the business world as "Technology" rather than "Corporate Philosophy". The world-wide business turnover of this type of applications (i.e. 'Technology") is increasing, which is surprising, given the fact that, at the same time, more than a half of the implementation projects are likely to fait, or simply do not meet the expectations. The main reason for this failure is usually the lack of concordance or alignment between technology and global corporate strategy. This alignment must be applied within the structure, culture and the organizational processes as well as in the Information systems practices.

Empire of Letters studies representations of texts and media in Roman authors from Lucretius to Ovid (c. 55 BCE–15 CE) in order to demonstrate how ancient writers conceived of the world, their work, and their own identities through material forms of writing. Drawing together methods of interpretation from a wide variety of fields (including Greek and Latin philology, epigraphy, papyrology, manuscript studies, literary criticism, media theory, and book history) and uniting close readings of major authors with the careful analysis of the physical forms inhabited by ancient texts (papyrus bookrolls, waxed tablets, and monumental inscriptions in stone and bronze), Empire of Letters provides a new model for understanding the history of the book in antiquity. Putting the written word back at the center of Roman literary culture, this book redefines our understanding of the role of writing in the intellectual life of Rome at the moment of epochal transition from Republic to Empire.

The COVID-19 pandemic refreshes the view of urban spaces as objects of consumption. The article describes the constituent elements of urban space and the process of human interaction with it, mediated by sign-symbolic perception. The socio-philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of consumption as a phenomenon developing within the framework of understanding the praxeological relationship of human to world is presented. The study contains a synthesis of several modern concepts based on a sociocultural approach. Based on the concept of A. Warde, the author proposes that consumption be seen as a process that is a moment in the many practices of everyday life which is characterized by evaluation, use and appropriation. The act of consumption is viewed as an internally-oriented, goal-rational human behavior aimed at achieving emotional experiences, as a part of the self-determination of the individual (G. Schulze). The conceptual link explaining the articulation between emotion and consumption is to be found in the notion of “imagination”, understood, following E. Illouz, as the socially situated deployment of cultural fantasies. In everyday practices of the development of urban spaces by man, a combination of creation and use is found, which seems to be possible to conceptualize through the moment of appropriation, in the course of the act of consumption, considered as secondary production (M. de Certeau). Changes in everyday practices and human attitudes towards urban spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic are analyzed based on domestic and foreign research. The possibility of consolidating new forms of everyday practices is comprehended. Strengthening of a person's intrasubjective orientation is stated.

This paper presents the development as well as the architecture of a computer-aided dedicated fixture design system intended to support the design of lightweight (carbon fiber composite) grippers for a major truck company. Lightweight grippers were required due to the increasing production rates in the automotive industry. The current robotic equipment was facing diverse problems during transportation and aligning of the parts, problems related to mass inertia, accuracy and stability. Moreover, the increased demands for truck customization and fast release of new product versions required a computer-based support for the design of the appropriate fixtures. This application is believed to be of interest for fixture research because the design of such complex fixtures is likely to appear more and more often. Specifically, such fixtures are subject to specific requirements that necessitate a systematic requirement elicitation method; they also require extensive conceptual design work as well as careful analysis activity planning. The main steps requisite for the development of the design system are reported: setup planning, fixture planning, conceptual design of the gripper. The architecture, the process and the constituent elements of the design system are also described and illustrated.

The high resolution STEM is now a fact of life. I think that we have, in the last few years, demonstrated that this instrument is capable of the same resolving power as a CEM but is sufficiently different in its imaging characteristics to offer some real advantages. It seems possible to prove in a quite general way that only a field emission source can give adequate intensity for the highest resolution^ and at the moment this means operating at ultra high vacuum levels. Our experience, however, is that neither the source nor the vacuum are difficult to manage and indeed are simpler than many other systems and substantially trouble-free.

Sectioned tissue rarely indicates evidence of what is probably a highly dynamic state of activity in mitochondria which have been reported to undergo a variety of movements such as streaming, divisions and coalescence. Recently, mitochondria from the rat anterior pituitary have been fixed in a variety of configurations which suggest that conformational changes were occurring at the moment of fixation. Pinocytotic-like vacuoles which may be taking in or expelling materials from the surrounding cell medium, appear to be forming in some of the mitochondria. In some cases, pores extend into the matrix of the mitochondria. In other forms, the remains of what seems to be pinched off vacuoles are evident in the mitochondrial interior. Dense materials, resembling secretory droplets, appear at the junction of the pores and the cytoplasm. The droplets are similar to the secretory materials commonly identified in electron micrographs of the anterior pituitary.
