Cloud computing as a means of forming the educational environment of a higher educational institution

The article deals with the problems of the organization of the educational environment of higher educational institutions. The purpose of the article is to determine cloud computing as the most effective means of forming a unified educational environment of the university, providing a reliable organization of the educational process in the field of providing educational services in the “one window” mode in various social, political and economic conditions. Based on the analysis of modern platforms for organizing the educational environment and based on current trends in the IT market, Cloud Computing is currently one of the most promising areas. The article defines the essence of cloud computing, which is to provide hosting users with remote access to services, computing resources and applications over the Internet. Examples of the use of cloud technologies in the public sector and education are given. The main types of services provided by the Russian cloud services market (Saas and Iaas) are described. The implementation of the” National Cloud Platform O7″, developed by Rostelecom, is discussed in more detail. The advantages of organizing the educational environment with the help of cloud technologies are considered. Stand out. characteristic features of the Cloud Computing concept, various types of clouds are considered, their advantages and disadvantages. The organization of a unified educational environment of a higher educational institution through cloud computing is a promising direction that allows achieving high technological efficiency: while reducing the cost of purchasing special software and hardware, the quality and efficiency of the educational process in the conditions of digitalization of the economy significantly improves, and it also becomes possible to provide educational services in the “one window” mode, which is a priority of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The article highlights the possibility and feasibility of the use of cloud technologies by teacher in the educational process of higher educational institutions, modern schools or institutions of additional education. The advantages and disadvantages of using cloud technologies in the learning process are indicated. After all, cloud technologies are one of the perspective directions in the development of modern information technologies. Under cloud technologies are understood distributed data processing technologies, in which computer resources and power are provided to the user as an Internet service. The use of cloud technologies is not only associated with a huge reduction in costs and intensification, but also with significant consumer risks (especially the risks of storage and data transfer). On the other hand, cloud solutions are being improved all the time, and the cloud provider can now reach an acceptable level of security by adhering to a number of conditions. The use of cloud technologies in the educational process will, above all, make it possible to solve the problem of ensuring equal access of students and teachers to high-quality educational resources both at classes and in extra hours. Cloud computing has wide-ranging prospects for applications in education, research and applied research, as well as for distance learning for professionals, postgraduates and students. Cloud technologies are not only the future, it is in many respects also the present. The use of cloud technologies (cloud computing) by higher educational institutions is a promising direction, which allows to increase the efficiency of the educational process, reduce the cost of its implementation. Significantly reduced capital costs associated with the creation and maintenance of educational institutions of their own data centers, provides flexible scalability and high availability of services used in the learning process, which ultimately increases the level of satisfaction of users needs: students, faculty, teaching staff, as more time is spent on solving educational and research tasks.

The article deals with the creation of unified information-educational environment of an educational institution, requirements to it, the organization of the educational process based on it, as well as all its constituent parts presented in an educational institution. A promising field of research of the problem of information technologies usage in students' learning activities can become the experimental study of the beliefs of students, scientific-pedagogical and pedagogical staff of higher education institutions on e-learning tools and their application in the educational environment. Moreover, it is worthwhile to mention that the problem of effective use of modern ICT disciplines is studied by many professors of higher educational institutions. However, its incorrect usage leads to the substitution of the learning objectives. Nowadays it is possible to reduce the educational process in universities not only by knowledge mastering, but also teaching students to learn and apply their new knowledge and information as effective, as it is possible. Numerous theoretical and practical research characteristics of the information technology in the students’ educational process claim that this approach is a response to students’ social demands and needs, since it contributes to the formation of professional competence of future professionals. One of the most important factors that significantly effects the quality of education is the usage of modern information technologies. Modern graduate students should have special professional tools and solve working problems, using information systems. Thus, the introduction of innovative information technologies in higher educational institutions enables future professionals to expand their potential abilities and encourages active learning.

Abstract The organization of project activities of students is discussed. Main stages of the project creation are highlighted and the activities of students at stage are presented. Main advantages of using cloud-based software in the educational environment over traditional educational software are considered. The selection of cloud services for their use at various stages of the project activity in accordance with the requirements of the educational process is presented. The proposed algorithm for organizing the project activities of students is illustrated by the description of the work on the project on the topic ”Parabola in Physics and Practical Human Activity. The presented materials were tested by the authors at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Moscow Region State University during training sessions.

The article is devoted to the problems of creating a successful digital educational environment in a higher educational institution. The issues of interactive communication between teachers and students in virtual space using computer and information and communication technologies are considered. The article describes the advantages and disadvantages of creating a digital educational environment at the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The authors analyze the assessment of the organization and content of the distance learning course from the point of view of the representatives of the teaching staff. The objectives of the study include studying the issue of the level of readiness of the teachers of the educational organization to conduct training sessions in a distance mode, as well as the analysis of the degree of the students’ self-organization and their abilities for the independent acquisition of knowledge in a remote access mode. During the study, considerable attention is paid to the study of problematic aspects of creating a digital educational environment in a higher educational institution and the search for possible ways to overcome them.


Considering the problems of the dissemination of innovative approaches to the use of information and communication technologies, it is hardly possible to ignore the phenomenon of the high-tech educational environment, which is formed both within the educational institution, the region, the education system of individual countries, and globally. In this regard, it is important to identify trends in the development of information and analytical systems of higher education in the context of the emergence of innovative information and communication platforms, in particular, based on cloud computing. The purpose of the present article is to analyze the possibilities of using cloud computing for integrated information and analytical system of educational resources. The article substantiates the relevance of the use of cloud computing in education, as well as considers the features of cloud-oriented educational environment. Based on an expert survey, the level of application of cloud technologies in the implementation of the educational process, the possible structure of a cloud-oriented integrated automated system (IAS) of the university, and the necessary electronic resources for educational purposes as part of an integrated IAS, are determined.

In the present article foreign and domestic experience of integrating cloud computing into pedagogical process of higher educational establishments (H.E.E.) has been generalized. It has been stated that nowadays a lot of educational services are hosted in the cloud, e.g. infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS). The peculiarities of implementing cloud technologies by H.E.E. in Ukraine and abroad have been singled out; the products developed by the leading IT companies for using cloud computing in higher education system, such as Microsoft for Education, Google Apps for Education and Amazon AWS Educate have been reviewed. The examples of concrete types, methods and forms of learning and research work based on cloud services have been provided.

The article deals with the issue of development of the modern educational environment of Ukraine in the context of its ethical activity through the formation of topical academic values. It involves both general theory and practice of changes in educational establishments, of universal values, as well as the formation of specific academic values that are relevant for providing effective educational environment in modern higher educational, in particular pedagogical, establishments. Practice and experience testify that the importance of ethical activity in the educational environment in a higher educational establishment is determined by the changes in the model of a modern educational institution where the situation of value collisions occurs regularly. The article describes one of the theoretical models of the development of a higher educational establishment along with the outline of the reasons for its ineffective implementation. The study determines the basic factors in formation of the student's personality as a bearer of universal values, in particular academic ones. The results of the theoretical and empirical research regarding the state and conditions for the formation of personal and academic values of a future specialist with the help of pedagogical tools are presented. With the help of empirical data, the statement about the limited opportunities of educational process towards the formation of students’ personal values, both professional and socially significant, is explained. The relation between the concepts "responsibility of profession" and "responsibility of a person" is indicated. Based on the achievements of international and domestic scientists, philosophers and educators in the sphere of anthropological and socio-cultural studies, the author identifies the phenomena of honor and responsibility as the priority and universal values, which influence the efficiency and quality of the activity accomplished by a modern higher educational establishment and the development of educational and scientific environment in general. The emphasis is put on the key aspects of honor, which influence the personality formation and development of a future specialist. The personal honor, existentialist by its essence and nature, which serves as the basis for the formation of professional honor, is called system- forming measure.

Aim. The article is devoted to the substantiation of theoretical and methodical principles of professional training of teachers of biology in the conditions of the informational and educational environment; multilevel and differentiated approaches in training with the possibility of continuous receipt of online and off-line assistance. Methods. Analysis of psychological and pedagogical, methodical literature; synthesis, a generalization; psycho-pedagogical observation, questionnaire, pedagogical experiment. Results. The authors proposed a methodology for involving information technologies, in particular cloud services, the inclusion of their varieties in all activities of the teacher in order to facilitate interaction between the subjects of the educational process, improve the content, forms and ways of interaction of the teacher and students in the process of formation and development of evolutionary concepts. Conclusions. Teaching and methodological support, developed in conditions of cloud-oriented environment, will be open and dynamic, elementarily variable and perceptible for the formation and development of scientific concepts, in particular, evolutionary ones. Abstract The intensive development of information systems and communication infrastructures has led to the emergence of new approaches and new tools for their management. Cloud services, virtualization technologies and software-based management tools are actively used today for building modern information systems which provides additional opportunities for managing components of these systems and for expanding such systems abilities. The use of such approaches and tools can provide a solution to the complex of problems faced by education institutions today, presenting new methods of distance learning and new forms of practical training. The balanced use of virtualization technologies and software-based control tools allows building distributed laboratory complexes of a new generation which will provide new possibilities for using the equipment that is available in educational institutions. The use of such complexes in the educational process allows not only to instill in students the skills of managing the confgura-tions of communication infrastructures that are especially relevant today, but also to organize, in addition to traditional laboratory work, new forms of contactless practical classes. When conducting such classes, students get the opportunity to fully-functional remote access to the virtual and physical components of the complex, which is especially important for organizing the educational process in modern conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.The article discusses modern approaches to the construction of software-controlled communication infrastructures, tools for software-based management of their components and also, an example of the implementation of these approaches and such tools usage in the construction of a distributed laboratory complex for a higher educational institution. The main advantages of the approach based on the use of hypervisors and emulators are presented, the experience of its deployment in the modernization of the laboratory complex for a IRIT-RTF UrFU is considered.
