AbstractThe practice of waqf that has not occurred in an orderly and efficient manner. This is due to problems that arise such as: the non-certification of waqf land which is used as the object of waqf, or a waqif who has made a pledge of waqf verbally before the heirs and village officials, but has not made a pledge of waqf to the Deed of Pledge Endowcement Officer (PPAIW) in The Local Religious Affairs Office. This is happened in Rasau Jaya District, Kubu Raya Regency. There are ± 11 (eleven) mosques out of a total of 36 (thirty-six) mosques that do not yet have the Endowment Pledge Deed. Lack of understanding and ignorance and public awareness about the Deed of Pledge of Waqf which is the reason for direct assistance. The approach in this study uses the PAR method (Participatory Action Research). The purpose of this assistance is to provide an understanding of the importance of authentic deeds such as the Pledge of Endowments and certificates of waqf land especially for mosques in Rasau Jaya District. This assistance activity also provides a solution or resolution to conflicts related to the Endowment Land Certification in Rasau Jaya District. The results of the assistance can be used as a theoretical and practical reference in making the Deed of Waqf Pledge and endowment land certification, such as: providing legal certainty of the waqf land in Rasau Jaya District so that it is used safely without any dispute in the future, the emergence of community awareness of the importance of waqf, Deed of Pledge Endowment (AIW) and endowment land certificates, as well as optimal socialization and services can be provided to the public through the roles and positions of each of the Acting Officials of Endowment Pledge Acts (PPAIW), The Religious Affairs Office (KUA) and The District National Land Agency (BPN) Kubu Raya.

Malang City has an annual program of activities for villages namely Kampung Bersinar (Clean, Healthy, Beautiful, Beautiful and Neat). One of the areas that have greening problems is RW 04, Gadang, Malang City on the banks of the Brantas river. Lack of greening in this area causes this area to be prone to landslides because the area is very contoured. That's why the focus of community service is to educate the public in the field of greening to improve the quality of the environment in the area. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which involves community action in its activities. While the rural youth identity is an intersectional experience that creates a heterogeneous group of young people, a close exploration of a specific rural location can illuminate an experience that is both unique and shared. In this participatory action research study, a group of youth participated in one-on-one interviews and focus group discussions to describe their experience of their rural location. Reports, statistics, and youth counsellors also provided information about the local youth experience. What emerged was a consideration of the unique divide between public and private social realms that can create a dilemma for youth who are simultaneously encouraged to succeed in public life while provided with limited access to opportunities in that public life. The research project culminated in a sculpture created by a team of youth artists that incorporated the final analysis about the public/private divide. The sculpture is now a permanent display in the region.

Youth participatory action research is a pedagogy in which students work together to explore an issue that affects them. The school counselor measured the impact on Latina students who participated in the project based on participants’ self-efficacy in attending college and being successful in math and science. Results indicated that students were more confident in their abilities in science and math and also believed they would attend college in the future by the end of the intervention.

Participatory action research (PAR) is widely endorsed by social workers as consistent with their commitment to social justice. This paper critically appraises the applicability of PAR to the diverse organizational and cultural contexts of social welfare work. The author interrogates participatory researchers’ assertions about power, method and action. Questions are raised about the use of PAR in the Asia-Pacific region where a cultural aversion to the public expression of dissent is frequently encountered. The author argues that some of the limitations of PAR can be overcome by radically opening it to insights from practice and from postmodern theories.
