Introduction. The article analyzes the subject-thematic content of modern scientific domestic and foreign works, the field of study of which is religion in countries and regions. The article deals with theoretical issues related to an integrated approach to regional studies in the development and functioning of the confessional space. Methods and materials. Statistical methods of data processing were applied, as well as the visualization of statistical data reflecting the functioning of the structural elements of the geo-confessional space. Analysis. Based on the specifics of the subject area, it is proposed to identify such thematic areas: historical-cultural, spatial (chorological), political-legal, socio-economic. A brief description of each of the designated areas is given. Within the framework of the spatial direction, the essence of two approaches is separately reflected: the institutionalterritorial and the religious-landscape. The necessity of using the scientific and factual basis of each of the selected areas for conducting a comprehensive study of the confessional space is indicated. Attention is paid to the use of scientific tools in comprehensive regional-confessional studies. Results. The importance of expanding the range of mathematical and statistical methods adopted in regional studies is indicated, since the results of calculating the coefficients of unevenness, advantages, etc. are the evidence base for identifying regional differences in the placement of religious infrastructure, etc. and can be applied in scientific works in all regional and confessional areas. For clarity, the provisions presented in the article are illustrated with examples related to elements of the confessional space of different regions and countries. The most promising for further development in the field of regional-confessional research, as the least studied, the authors call the political-legal and socio-economic directions, while maintaining the importance of historical and cultural as well as spatial in the meaning of independent research, and as a basis for a comprehensive one.

The project aims to solve the fundamental scientific problem of semantic modeling, within the framework of which a methodology is developed for the automated identification of translation links (translation correspondences), as well as hierarchical, synonymous and associative links from Internet texts and the construction of multilingual associative hierarchical portraits of subject area (MAHPSA), in particular, on autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicles (UUV). Accounting for multilingual and heterogeneous resources allows you to get a more complete picture of what is happening in the subject area, to identify the sources of the origin of ideas, the speed and directions of their distribution, to identify significant documents and promising directions. The solution to the problem is based on an integrated approach that combines the methods of statistics, corpus linguistics and distributive semantics, and is implemented in technology that involves the development of linguo-statistical mechanisms for the formation of a multilingual associative hierarchical portrait of a subject area, which is a dictionary of significant terms of the subject area, the elements of which organized in synonymous series (synsets), including translational correspondences, as well as associative and hierarchical relationships.

The researchers explored the dual experience of individuals who are both taking dance and movement classes digitally at the same time as they are also teaching dance and movement classes digitally. By focusing on this duality through a series of interviews with practitioners, the researchers explore how the learner/educators do or do not adapt one set of skills into the other area of work and the lessons learned from this reflective practice. The results are analyzed and broken down into five sections: glitches of the practice, reflective practice, active learning, engagement, and reframing communication. Through further analysis, the researchers explore possibilities for shifting the mindset around digital education methods. The researchers then offer suggestions for further development in the field and where further research can expand on the subject area.

We greatly appreciate the care and thought that is evident in the ten commentaries that discuss our debate paper, the majority of which argued in favor of a formalized ICD-11 gaming disorder. We agree that there are some people whose play of video games is related to life problems. We believe that understanding this population and the nature and severity of the problems they experience should be a focus area for future research. However, moving from research construct to formal disorder requires a much stronger evidence base than we currently have. The burden of evidence and the clinical utility should be extremely high because there is a genuine risk of abuse of diagnoses. We provide suggestions about the level of evidence that might be required: transparent and preregistered studies, a better demarcation of the subject area that includes a rationale for focusing on gaming in particular versus a more general behavioral addictions concept, the exploration of non-addiction approaches, and the unbiased exploration of clinical approaches that treat potentially underlying issues such as depressive mood or social anxiety first. We acknowledge there could be benefits to formalizing gaming disorder, many of which were highlighted by colleagues in their commentaries, but we think they do not yet outweigh the wider societal and public health risks involved. Given the gravity of diagnostic classification and its wider societal impact, we urge our colleagues at the WHO to err on the side of caution for now and postpone the formalization.

Dear Readers and Authors! This is the first issue of the new scientific digital journal "Population and Economics".Continuing the traditions of Professor Dmitry Ignatievich Valentey's university demographic school, we have planned to make an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the discussion of issues related to population. The subject area of the research, the results of which we plan to present on the pages of the journal, covers the research interests of disciplines such as demography, population economics, labor economics, social policy, behavioral economics, institutional economics, macroeconomics, marketing research, socio-economic geography, economic sociology and other disciplines. It seems that it is at interdisciplinary crossroads of different sciences that the discoveries in the coming decades will be made. The Journal welcomes the use of various research methods – methods of demographic analysis and forecasting, econometric and other mathematical methods, quantitative and qualitative sociological methods, as well as ones from other sciences. An interdisciplinary approach involves the mutual usage of methods from different sciences. An important feature of the modern scientific reality is an unprecedented increase in the volume of information and data on population. This broadens the possibilities of analysis and simultaneously requires the creation of a culture of data exchange. I mean data formed by the authors for the research purpose, to continue dialogue on the issue raised and to involve young researchers in this dialogue. Therefore, we encourage authors to place their working databases and author codes in open access on the pages of our journal. The journal opens various sections. Apart original articles, we will publish a methodical section for teachers "The Teacher's Podium". And "Demographic calendar" on the most important events and people in the world of population sciences. In the "Reviews" section we plan to present the most discussed scientific works. There will be a "Discussions" section on the pages of which we invite scientists to argue about unresolved theoretical issues and new methods, and other sections. The first issue of the magazine offers to your attention, dear readers, theoretical and empirical research on relevant subjects, performed by authors with the usage of various methods. The "Teacher's Podium" and "Demographic calendar" are open. We invite researchers from different regions of Russia and other countries to argue, publish their scientific results, share created databases, methods of teaching sciences on the population. We invite readers interested in the issues raised on the pages of our journal to attentive reading and cooperation with editors and authors.I would like to wish all of us a valuable journal and the pleasure of creating and reading the materials in the journal's section "Population and Economics".

The author examines the draft of standard new version (GOST R 7.0.94–2015 “SIBID. Library document acquisitions. Terms and definitions”. The need for ordering terms in the area of collection development and collection studies. Owing to the terminology’s expanding onto collection studies, the standard title has changed from “Library collections. Terms and definitions”. The standard focuses on terms and definitions within the subject area of “library collection studies, library collections”. The vectors of standard drafting are discussed: outdated standardized definitions are edited; processes structure and contents are changed according to the modern theory and practice related to library collections; concept list for library collection characteristics is expanded; new concepts to describe library activities in digital environment are introduced. The draft standard comprises 170 terms and the alphabet index. The author describes Rosstandardregulated approaches toward national standard development [Rosstandard – Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology]. The new version key provisions and definitions can be used for references and will support further development of new regulations, methodological documents and instructions for library activities, and library collection studies.

The role of classification in science and other spheres can hardly be underestimated. Accounting is no exception. The requirements to “natural classification” were formulated in the late twentieth century and can be used for further development and improvement of accounting. The article is devoted to the analysis of the accounting system for compliance with the requirements of natural classification. Accounting information is generated on the basis of classification, with accounts themselves used as classification criteria. The existing system of accounting was analyzed for compliance with the major twelve natural classification requirements to find out that the system is totally incompliant with five of these requirements and five more are met only partially. In order to analyze the accounting system for compliance with the remaining two requirements it is necessary to start with decomposition of accounts into separate classification groups. The methods of scientific classification, formal logic, comparison, analysis and synthesis are used in this work. The results of the study can be used to improve the organization and planning of scientific research in the field of accounting. The research is of practical significance as it provides the recommendations on changing the composition and special features of accounts to meet the requirements of natural classification which in turn will reveal the very essence of the subject area in multidimensional and logical way.

The goal is to construct and describe the framework-slot structure of the terminology of the Tourism Industry subject area. The object is the terminology of the tourism industry in Russian and English, the subject is the frame model of the terminology in question. The application of contextual and definitional analysis techniques, as well as frame modeling techniques, has allowed us to present the terminology of this area as a multilevel hierarchical structure of slots and subslots that form subframes based on a thematic principle. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the framework-slot representation of the terminology of the tourism industry allowed us to systematically describe the logical structure and conceptual organization of terms in the subject area in question, taking into account linguistic and extralinguistic aspects. The theoretical importance is in the further development of cognitive and frame analysis of industry terminology, which is a contribution to the further development of cognitive terminology. The novelty of the study lies in the structuring and systematization of the terminology of this subject area on the material of Russian and English, which was not previously the subject of linguistic research.

The concept of practice occurs frequently in current research about the visual. However, the term remains problematic as it cannot always clarify the complexity of the topic. Following an initial discussion of the subject area and central questions of a sociology of visual communication, I proceed to show that visual practices are embedded in many different social structures that condition forms of practice. This aspect is reflected on theoretically with reference to the concept of artifacts outlined by Herbert Simons in Sciences of the Artificial. As Simons does not seek to establish any connection to sociology, his thoughts must first be developed for the discipline. This is achieved, inter alia, by taking up the structural concepts of Giddens and Luhmann. Having established this background, the notion of practice is reconsidered in relation to the structures of social realities and to a concept of the sociology of visual communication. In the discussion, methodological and methodical conclusions are drawn from these conceptual considerations, which are important for the further development of the analysis of the visual.

The article analyzes the philosophical and cultural view of “doctor’s professional culture” as a result of centuries-old practice of human relations, which is characterized by constancy and passed from generation to generation. Medicine is a complex system in which an important role is played by: philosophical outlook of a doctor, philosophical culture, ecological culture, moral culture, aesthetic culture, artistic culture. We have found that within the system “doctor-patient” the degree of cultural proximity becomes a factor that influences the health or life of a patient. Thus, the following factors are important here: 1) communication that suppresses a sick person; 2) the balance of cultural and intellectual levels; 3) the cultural environment of a patient which has much more powerful impact on a patient than the medical one.At the present stage, the interdependence of professional and humanitarian training of future specialists is predominant, as a highly skilled specialist can not but become a subject of philosophizing. We outlined the sphere where the doctors present a genre variety of philosophizing (philosophical novels, apologies, dialogues, diaries, aphorisms, confessions, essays, etc.). This tradition represents the original variations in the formation of future doctor’s communicative competences, which are formed in the process of medical students’ professional training.A survey conducted among medical students made it possible to establish their professional values, which are indicators of the formation of philosophical and culturological competence. It was found out that 92% of respondents believed that a doctor should demonstrate a high level of health culture (avoid drinking and smoking habits, etc.)99% of respondents favoured a high level of personal qualities of a doctor which would allow methods and forms of medical practice to assert higher human ideals of truth, goodness and beauty that are the subject area of cultural studies and philosophy.
