Purpose. Nietzschean proponents classify people into seemingly two distinct groups: those possessing 'Master' moralities and those with 'Slave' moralities. Each type of person is characterized to have certain qualities, traits, ideologies, and methods of dealing with everyday situations. This paper attributes these moralities to the personnel working in the corporate sector of Pakistan to observe their prospects of success. Originality. A specialized survey instrument was designed to gauge different Morality Types of the study subjects by calculating a Morality Quotient. The respondents were then categorized into three categories possessing, Slave, Master and Neutral or Mixed traits. These traits are then contrasted to the position(s) held by the subjects to see which morality type was more prevalent in higher management levels and whether the association was significant. Conclusions. Our results prove to be contradictory to common wisdom and shows that despite the leadership-like qualities of those with Master moralities, the proportion of those with Slave moralities was significantly higher at senior management levels of the corporate sector in Pakistan. Moreover, a trend of declining Master morality traits is observed with the rise in managerial level. In addition, an association between work experience and Morality type was also observed indicating adaptability of cross morality traits with increasing job experience. These findings are in line with the increasing focus on democratic and adaptable leadership instead of autocratic leadership styles in contemporary organizations.

Maintenance of upright balance involves interplay between sensory (somatosensory, vestibular and visual) inputs and neuro-motor outputs. Visual spatial perception (VSP) of vertical and horizontal orientation plays a significant role in the maintenance of upright balance. For this experiment, a custom designed computer program randomly generated 42 images of horizontal and vertical lines at various angles for 60 industrial workers (39 ± 9.8 years). Half of the workers had more than three years of experience working on inclined and/or elevated surfaces. The main effects investigated included within subject factors of standing surface inclination (0°, 14° and 26°), job experience (number of months), and postural workload (0%, 50% or 100%). The VSP outcome measure was the count of correct responses to the angles presented. The inclination did not have a significant effect on VSP, but the parameter estimates indicated less correct responses on the inclined surfaces. The postural workload significantly affected the VSP, indicating that with increased workload, less correct responses were given. Finally, job experience was found to improve VSP response scores. In summary, these results indicate that job experience increases accurate VSP, while workloads and inclined work surfaces decrease accurate VSP responses.

Introduction: The kinds of leadership have been discussed not only in academia but in the corporate world. It has been observed that some types have negatively influenced the organizational environment and the work process. Objective: To analyze the leadership practiced by nursing professionals within the hospital environment and their impacts on the work process and organizational climate. Methods: This is a scoping review whose objective was to map the main concepts about leadership styles and influence, examining and summarizing the existing research gaps. The following databases were used: MEDLINE, LILACS, IBESCS, PUBMED, and ENDENF. Results: Twenty nine articles were selected. The autocratic leadership style was the most cited as unfavorable for maintaining a favorable organizational climate for workers' welfare. Conclusion: It is believed that the leadership practiced by the nurse influences positively or negatively on the corporate environment and well-being at work.

<p>Over past decade, there has been increased use of results-based management in Vietnam and other countries, but little empirical research exists on results-based planning (RBP) in the planning functions of public organizations. Some experiences suggest that managerial leadership may be among the determinants of success, affecting whether and how RBP is used. This thesis answers the following question: What is the impact of leadership styles by public managers on the practices of RBP?  Using empirical observations of current RBP in Vietnamese public organizations and a multiphase mixed method design, this study finds that transformational, transactional, and autocratic leadership styles are often concurrent among public managers (but in varying intensities), and these ‘combined’ leadership styles have a direct, positive, and strong effect on the use and outcomes of RBP practices. This study also finds that leadership effects on RBP are stronger than other organizational factors examined (RBP-related training, bureaucratic culture, funding). Furthermore, among three components of these combined leadership styles, transformational leadership has the greatest contribution to the higher performance of RBP practices. The findings of this research also show the specific leadership behaviors by public managers that are most associated with the increased RBP.  This study contributes to the literature by offering empirical evidence of the role of leadership in deploying reforms such as results-based planning in a context of a developing country. It also provides public organizations with knowledge of leadership styles for implementing such reforms.</p>

The impact of different leadership styles on employee performance was investigated in this study, whereby the proposed styles included transformational leadership, Laissez-Faire leadership, democratic leadership, and autocratic leadership. Concomitantly, the moderating effect of gender between such leadership styles and employee performance was also tested. The required data were collected by utilising a structured questionnaire and disseminating it through an online survey, engaging a sample size of 211 employees of multinational corporations in Malaysia selected using convenient sampling. Accordingly, IBM SPSS 24 was employed to conduct the reliability and normality assessment, while IBM SPSS AMOS 24 application was for the purpose of conducting the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), structural equation modelling (SEM), and moderation analysis. As a result, a positive and significant relationship was found between the transformational, Laissez-Faire, and democratic leadership styles towards employee performance in Malaysia, respectively. Furthermore, the relationship between autocratic leadership and employee performance was statistically insignificant following the hypothesis testing. Meanwhile, the impact of transformational and Laissez-Faire leadership styles on employee performance was fully moderated by gender, whereas the correlation between democratic leadership and employee performance was only partially moderated. In contrast, gender posed a statistically insignificant impact for autocratic leadership and employee performance association. Moreover, the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance was more pronounced in males compared to females. The effect of Laissez-Faire leadership on employee performance is more pronounced in �female� compared to �male�. Meanwhile, the effect of democratic leadership on the variable was more pronounced in females compared to males, but with a minimum difference. The managerial implications, limitations, and future research avenues are discussed accordingly.

The increase of violence among young people in the high school environment has become a concern among parents and educators alike. A study was designed to address whether there is a relationship between the leadership styles of principals and violence in secondary schools in rural Jamaica. Based on a correlational design survey of 414 teachers from 61 schools in five parishes, seven leadership styles were correlated with the amount of violence at each school. The result showed that there was a statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.88) at the p < .05 level was observed in autocratic leadership in the Parish of St. Ann. A moderate significant correlation was recorded in St. Catherine in democratic leadership (r = -52) at the level of p < 0.01.

Recent developments in the field of management-organization and organizational behavior and new concepts have also led to the emergence of new leadership styles in leadership. Leadership in health services is important for following innovations and adapting to current situations. Nurses working together with other health personnel in hospitals providing health services constitute an important group in leadership. Nursing, which is a key force for patient safety and safe care, is a human-centered profession, and therefore leadership is a key skill for nurses at all levels. The leadership styles of nurse managers are believed to be an important determinant of job satisfaction and persistence of nurses. The need for nurses with leadership skills and the need for nurses to develop their leadership skills are increasing day by day. There are several leadership styles defined in nursing literature. These leadership styles are examined under the titles of relational leadership style, transformational leadership, resonant leadership, emotional intelligence leadership, and participatory leadership. The task-focused leadership style is explored under the headings of transactional and autocratic leadership, laissez-faire leadership, and instrumental leadership.

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of autocratic leadership style (X1), participatory (X2) and delegation (X3) on work motivation (Y) Navy Personnel. The research method used was a questionnaire with a sample of 55 people. Measurement of variables using Linkert scale techniques with 1-5 weighting values. To find out the relationship between variables X1, X2 and X3 to Y using statistical techniques correlation analysis, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression, and to test the significance level using the test which is processed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 15 program. The conclusion of this study is that there is a strong influence from the autocratic leadership style, participatory and delegation on the work motivation of the Indonesian Navy Personnel. Then it was recommended to the Leaders at the Indonesian Navy Officers, to be able to maintain and continue to develop autocratic leadership styles, participatory leadership styles, and Delegation leadership styles to better achieve organizational goals. Increased work motivation can be done by increasing the ability of officers through training or leadership for Navy Personnel who have good work performance, giving incentives or rewards to outstanding soldiers and civil servants.

This study aims to examine the effect of work experience, motivation, and culture on auditor performance by mediating self efficacy. This study uses a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the Inspectorate of Maros Regency and the Inspectorate of Makassar City. Data obtained using the survey instrument method used in the form of a questionnaire. The research sample of 60 respondents who in the sample using a purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using multiple regression methods. The results showed that (1) work experience influenced auditor performance; (2) motivation affects the auditor's performance; (3) culture influences auditor performance; and (4) work experience, motivation, and culture influence the auditor's performance which is mediated by self efficacy.

Family-owned businesses have been criticized for having a lack of leadership effectiveness and yield unfavourable influence on employee’s job performance. Although there are ample studies on favouritism particularly in family-owned businesses, nevertheless very limited studies highlighted on the leadership styles as the significant mediator. This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of leadership styles namely democratic and autocratic styles between favouritism on gender and favouritism on social ties and job performance. Data was collected from 350 respondents via questionnaire and was analysed using correlation, multiple regression and Hayes PROCESS techniques. The findings of this study revealed interesting results of the mediation effect of both democratic and autocratic leadership styles between favouritism and job performance among employees in the family-owned business.
