A participatory, formative meta-evaluation of baseline studies in Brazil is presented. International standards recommended by associations of evaluators were used, along with "specificity" criteria built up using the terms of reference for proposals for the selection of studies. The methodological approach combined a "peer review" of baseline study reports, with a participatory (self) assessment for "primary" evaluators, the average of which provided the final score. Results revealed a classification of "good" and "very good" for the set of standards. The differences between the attribution of scores further highlight the importance of taking into account multiple points of view. Given the lack of pre-existing standards for the reports, the absence of standards and the incipient nature of evaluation focusing on utility, this meta-evaluation does not adequately reflect the quality or potential utility of the baseline studies, however, it will certainly contribute to overcoming these limitations and improving future impact studies of the Brazilian Family Health Strategy Expansion Project (PROESF).

Insulin of packaging at home diabeticAbstract: This study aimed to describe the pack diabetic insulin in your home and identify the person responsible for guidance on the packaging of insulin. Abstract Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the knowledge and practices of dentists regarding breastfeeding as a strategy for promoting children's oral health. It also aimed to investigate how nursing mothers perceive the participation of dentists in actions to promote and support breastfeeding. Methods: this study employed a mixed methodological approach. During the quantitative phase, 91 dentists of the Family Health Strategy answered an electronic questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. For the qualitative investigation, were interviewed 21 nursing mothers. These interviews were examined through content analysis, and the results were interpreted from the perspective of the Theory of Planned Behavior. Results: Among dentists, 81.3% agreed that they are aware of the implications of breastfeeding for the child's oral health and reported 72.8% advising mothers and pregnant women about its benefits. Ambivalent social norms and weaknesses related to actions promoting and supporting breastfeeding emerged in the speeches of nursing mothers, and unfamiliarity about the benefits of this practice for children's oral health. Conclusions: Dentists recognize the benefits of breastfeeding for children's oral health. On the other hand, the nursing mothers pointed out barriers, exposed weaknesses, and signaled necessary conjunction of efforts to improve maternal and child care quality.

ABSTRACT Objective: To compare the prevalence rates of nutritional deviations in children under five years of age according to data from the Food and Nutrition Surveillance System (Sistema de Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricional — SISVAN) and those obtained by trained anthropometrists. Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study based on data from 10 municipalities and 2 sources: i) SISVAN Web (secondary database) and ii) an investigation that evaluated the implementation of food and nutrition actions in the Family Health Strategy in the state of Paraíba (primary database), with 24,137 and 897 individuals, respectively. Proportions of overweight — according to weight/age (W/A), weight/height (W/H), and body mass index/age (BMI/A) — and stunting — according to the height/age (H/A) index — based on classifications of SISVAN Web and those obtained by trained anthropometrists were compared using the two-proportion Z-test. Results: Frequencies of overweight, according to W/A (10.0 vs. 7.8%), W/H (17.2 vs. 14.3%), and BMI/A (18.1 vs. 14.4%), as well as stunting (12.3 vs. 8.6%), were higher on data from SISVAN Web than on those obtained by trained anthropometrists, and the differences were significant. Conclusions: The findings point to distortions in the nutritional classification of children under five years of age monitored by SISVAN Web.

The self-assessment of the quality ofthe Family Health Strategy(FHS) was assessed in the context ofmanagement and its correlation with characteristics of FHS and of the municipality. Managers, coordinators and Family Health Unit managers of municipalities in the Northeast region of Minas Gerais replied with tools 1, 2 and 3 of the Assessment for Improving the Quality of Family Health Strategy (AIQ). Scores were defined for each subdimension, according to the number of features compliant with the standards of the AIQ. We tested the correlation of this score with coverage and the deployment time of the FHS, with the municipal population and the HDI (Human Development Index). The lowest scores were for Work Management, Permanent Education and Inputs, Immunobiologicals and Medicines. There was a positive correlation between the municipal population and Strengthening of Coordination, Support for Teams, Permanent Education Management and Standardization and a negative one with Infrastructure and Equipment. The use of the AIQ tools permitted the identification of subdimensions and municipalities which will require greater attention and intervention by the municipal management.
