Absract:The EEES represents a major shift from traditional educational models in the University education system. The student takes an active role in their learning and the teacher becomes a in the guide the teaching-learning process. Besides this skills related to teamwork and interpersonal relationships (student-student, student-teacher and teacher-teacher ) become more important. In this paper we propose to develop some tools that allow us to evaluate the Student’s Good Practices relating more directly with student-student relationships and cooperative learning. Also deepen the process of adaptation of the Inventory of Good Practices in University Students, original by Chickering and Schlossberg (1995). In the context of the European Higher Education, this questionnaire has been translated into Portuguese and adapted for use with university students by Pinheiro (2007, 2008). Likewise, it has been used to establish intercultural studies, establishing the similarities and differences in the good practices associated with Portuguese and Spanish students (Gonzaga, Gozalo and Pinheiro, 2011). The aim of this study is to estimate the psychometric properties of two scales of the Spanish version of the Inventory of Good Practices in University Students: Work cooperatively with peers and Management of Personal and Social Resources. We have a group of 610 University of Extremadura´s students. Their responses to the inventories was subjected to analysis of reliability and validity: construct validity was assessed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, yielding satisfactory results. Keywords: Evaluation of Good Practice Student, University Education, psychometric study, adapting of instrument process.

The educational models currently in use in higher education aim to make students active participants in their learning process, while the lecturer is seen more as a facilitator of the said process. Students’ learning strategies (superficial approach—memorizing, deep approach—looking for meaning, and achievement approach—aimed at results) and their good practices are gaining in importance and the aim of this study is to identify university students’ good practices, which are related to their learning strategies. To do so, our research covered 610 students from different science degree courses at the University of Extremadura who anonymously completed the University Students’ Good Practice Inventory (IBPEU) and the University students’ Questionnaire to Evaluate Study and Learning Processes (CEPEA). The influence of context, understood here as the center or scientific field, was discarded. The factor ‘Actively learning’ was positively associated with the deep and achievement approaches; the factor ‘Interaction with lecturers’ was positively associated with the superficial approach and negatively with the deep approach; the factor ‘Cooperative work’ was also associated with the deep approach; while the achievement approach was positively associated with the factor ‘Optimizing time’ and negatively with ‘respect for different capacities’. These associations are promising as good practices can be learnt and evaluated.

Abstract. The present study describes and analyzes the assessment of university students with regard to the “More than able” proposal. This is a diversity awareness proposal from the area of Physical Education, and specifically, through tasks related to fundamental motor skills. The aim of this work was to design, apply, and evaluate a good practice offering a proposal for raising students’ awareness based on the use of comic characters such as superheroes and superheroines. In order to assess the degree of satisfaction of the proposal, a questionnaire of good practices and an open question in relation to the experience were used. The results showed that the practice was valued as useful, innovative, sustainable, and transferable to their future teaching experience, as well as a satisfactory experience for students. Therefore, the teaching staff of this or other Schools that train future teachers, as well as currently employed teachers, must be aware of these types of proposals and carry them out in the formal training of future teachers to bring the current school closer to an inclusive approach.

Abstract: Combine the learning process with sport is a difficult obstacle to overcome for many university students. This situation is usually aggravated because of the little support and the lack of specific guidance given to these students, leading them to situations of failure or dropout. For this reason, the analysis of the factors that are involved in the development of this dual activity constitutes a reference framework for university centers to plan preventive counseling and support actions. This was the main purpose of this study, conducted with a sample of university students of different degrees who practice top-level sport while were attending university. Four main factors were analyzed: adjustment to university life, difficulties and needs, support and assistance received in the training process and expectations for professional development. The conclusion reached was the need to consider in university education some support measures to integrate academic and sporting aspirations.Key words: Studies and sport; student guidance; adapting to university life; student’s formative project; personalized attention.

This paper reports the development of a scale to assess world views both within and across cultures. It is a 45-item Likert-type scale, developed to assess beliefs, values, and assumptions on five variables (views of human nature, interpersonal relationships, nature, time, and activity). The scale was administered to 501 university students. Reliability and validity data are described. A multidimensional scaling procedure was used to assess intra-group variation and to determine the profile of world views of the sample studied.

Emotional intelligence is the set of capacities that allow a student to properly manage their emotions and interpersonal relationships, when subjected to stressful situations, such as the educational environment; in which they have to deal with internal and external conflicts for good academic performance. The research aimed to relate emotional intelligence and academic performance in students of the National Autonomous University of Chota, Peru. The study was descriptive correlational, not cross-sectional experimental, and it worked with 325 university students who signed the informed consent, after knowing the purpose of the research; emotional intelligence was determined with the BarOn ICE Emotional Intelligence Test and academic performance with a data collection sheet. The results show a higher proportion of university students with high emotional intelligence (51.1%) and average academic performance of 12.59 ± 1.17 weighted score, results similar to those reported by various national and international studies. It is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence, the adaptability dimension and the academic performance of university students (p = 0.043 and p = 0.021).

Abstract. The need for efficient personality inventories has led to the wide use of short instruments. The corresponding items often contain multiple, potentially conflicting descriptors within one item. In Study 1 ( N = 198 university students), the reliability and validity of the TIPI (Ten-Item Personality Inventory) was compared with the reliability and validity of a modified TIPI based on items that rephrased each two-descriptor item into two single-descriptor items. In Study 2 ( N = 268 university students), we administered the BFI-10 (Big Five Inventory short version) and a similarly modified version of the BFI-10 without two-descriptor items. In both studies, reliability and construct validity values occasionally improved for separated multi-descriptor items. The inventories with multi-descriptor items showed shortcomings in some factors of the TIPI and the BFI-10. However, the other scales worked comparably well in the original and modified inventories. The limitations of short personality inventories with multi-descriptor items are discussed.

No teaching method has evolved as much as distance education, in the state of Amazonas this would not be different, especially in higher education. Distance Education is a modality where the student is separated from the teacher and uses several communication technologies around all his learning. The methods used were bibliographic, documentary and quantitative. The researched environment was the capital city of Manaus and the municipality of Maués, with the application of the closed questionnaire aimed at higher education students. Our objective was to question certain nuances as their benefits and challenges for those who study Distance Education in the different locations of the State of Amazonas. The result was the realization that among its many advantages in the execution of education, time is considered the main one, and the loss of deadlines its greatest disadvantage, besides the concept of distance education is already well known by university students. Thus, it is well known that with the passing of time and with the progress of the state's modernization, distance education is gradually becoming the most practical means of teaching.
