Abstract: This study examined the role of good corporate governance and investment opportunity set in maintaining firm performance. This study's sample population comprised 240 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2019. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling method. The data were analyzed by using structural equation modeling analysis (SEM). The results showed that good corporate governance in terms of board size had a negative effect on firm performance. Meanwhile, good corporate governance in terms of board independence and investment opportunity set had a positive effect on firm performance. Keywords: good corporate governance, investment opportunity set, firm performance Menuju Kinerja Perusahaan di Indonesia: Peran Good Corporate Governance dan Investment Opportunity Set Abstrak: Studi ini menguji peran good corporate governance dan investment opportunity set dalam menjaga kinerja perusahaan. Kata kunci: good corporate governance, investment opportunity set, kinerja perusahaan

The innovation process in SMEs (small- and medium-sized enterprises) is complex and in comparison with large firms the causal relationships between promoting factors and innovation have yet not been sufficiently clarified. This chapter attempts to analyze the innovation process using Structural Equation Modeling, in particular focusing on the role of ICT. Seven hypotheses are demonstrated by two models. The results obtained are as follows: (i) top management participation and employee motivation in the innovation process enhance the effect of introducing ICT; (ii) the effect of ICT use raises innovation capability, in particular the ability to connect with external linkages; (iii) ICT use, innovation capability and external linkages enhance innovation activity; and (iv) the effect of ICT use and innovation capability promote innovation directly.

This study aims to investigate the impact of innovation capability on cross-channel capability and the effect of cross-channel capability on firm performance of an organization. On the base of literature review, this study suggests a research hypothesis model, and uses quantitative research method to examine. Research data is collected from 201 Vietnamese retail enterprises. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by Smart-PLS is used for data analysis. The research result indicates that there is a significant and positive impact of innovation capability on cross-channel capability. Besides that, the finding shows that cross-channel capability plays an important role in improving firm performance. Based on the findings, some recommendations are suggested to enhance firm performance by generating cross-channel capability and innovation capability of Vietnamese retailers.

Purpose Drawing upon the theory of the resource-based view, the purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships among relational resources, innovation capability and firm performance in the third-party logistics (3PL) industry. Design/methodology/approach Based on data collected from 203 3PL providers in China, this study adopts the approach of structural equation modeling to examine the hypothesized relationships among relational resources, innovation capability and firm performance. Findings The results of this research confirm that relational resources have a positive effect on firm performance. However, the effect is not direct, but realized through the mediation of innovation capability. This study indicates that relational resources are important for 3PL providers to achieve superior performance, and innovation capability plays a mediating role between relational resources and firm performance. Originality/value The main contributions of this paper to the literature are twofold. First, it extends the extant research by highlighting the mediating mechanism of innovation capability in relational resources’ influence on firm performance. Second, it advances the existing perspectives on 3PL firms in the Chinese context and this sheds light on logistics research on emerging markets.

Performance of PT WIKON in two consecutive years indicated run into downtrend from the year 2018 to the year 2019. Low levels of Entrepreneurial Orientation, Innovation Capability, and Market Orientation have been suspected as factors leading to the performance of PT WIKA Industri & Konstruksi.  The objective of this study is to investigate Market Orientation as the mediator of relationship Entrepreneurial Orientation and Innovation Capability on Firm Performance in a construction company. However, study-related Market Orientation as a mediator on the indirect effect of Innovation Capability and Firm Performance is still rare, therefore research on this subject can be seen as Novelty. There are Six theory-based hypotheses are measured. This research employs a quantitative approach with empirical evidence of employees and BOD of PT WIKA Industri & Konstruksi. Survey data are from 93 respondents were analyzed used structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings of this research showed that Market Orientation has a positive effect on Firm Performance. Surprisingly, Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and Innovation Capability (IC) independently do not have a direct effect on Firm Performance. The Effect of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) on Firm Performance (FP) is mediated by Market Orientation. Likewise, the effect of Innovation Capability (IC) on Firm Performance (FP) is mediated by Market Orientation. These results suggest that Entrepreneurial Orientation and Innovation Capability should focus on Market Orientation to improve the overall Firm Performance. Besides, it is highly recommended to middle management and above of PT WIKA Industri & Konstruksi should focus and allocate resources to Market Orientation to improve their Firm Performance.

This research analyzes the contribution of corporate sustainability practice on corporate reputation and firm performance of companies in Thailand. This research is based on the Triple Bottom Line framework which conceptualizes sustainability into three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic. The data were obtained from a total of 196 firms through online questionnaires surveys. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used for the data analysis. The results show that all three dimensions of corporate sustainability positively and significantly determine corporate reputation. Corporate reputation also positively and significantly determines firm performance. Lastly, corporate reputation is also found to mediates the linkage between all three dimensions of corporate sustainability practice and firm performance.
