This study analyzes trends in the scientific literature on the concepts of rational and emotional advertising. The article presents a bibliometric analysis of 96 studies on rational and emotional advertising, taken from the Web of Science database (WOS) for the period 1990-2020. The study categorizes these documents according to bibliographic indicators, i.e., most productive authors, year of publication, countries with the highest productivity rate, the journals and universities that published the most on this topic, language, type of research and field of research. This analysis provides an overview of the nature and trends of research on rational and emotional advertising. The results of the analysis reveal the research weakness for this concept, especially in terms of definitions and conceptualization. Also, the results highlight the fragmented nature of the themes addressed in the various research articles on rational and emotional advertising.

Web of Science (WoS) is covering Biointerface Research in Applied Chemistry (BRIAC) from 2015 onwards. However, we performed its 1st bibliometric analysis of the last five years (from 2016 to 2020). The data from WoS was retrieved on 8th February 2021. In this period, BRIAC has published seven hundred and fifty-seven documents (n=757), majorly comprising research articles (n=665), reviews (n=86), and editorials (n=6). In all publications, exactly 2519 authors, 838 institutes or departments, and 77 countries have contributed. For numerical representations, we designed the publication and citation clubs. One thousand four hundred and thirty-four (n=1434) citations were noted. The total h-index was found to be 11, while the citation per item was recorded to be 1.89. The unofficial impact factor is 1.93. The calculation is based on citations in 2020 (498), divided by papers published in 2018-2019 (258). By VOSviewer analysis, we also represented the co-authorship network for authors, institutes, and countries. Four thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight (n=4938) keywords were noted in all publications. By co-words analysis, we represented the trends in publications. From WoS, we retrieved the per year h-index, citation per item, and total citations of BRIAC. It is worthy to note that BRIAC has accepted 600 research articles for the year 2021. All issues in 2021 are already published in advance. The present research article (bibliometric report) is paper number 600th, and it is closing the year. Based on the data, it can be concluded that in a short span of the last five years, BRIAC showed positive growth.

Background: This study was designed to analyze the global research on Lophomonas spp. using bibliometric techniques. Methods: A bibliometric research was carried out using the Scopus database. The analysis unit was the research articles conducted on Lophomonas spp. Results: Totally, 56 articles about Lophomonas spp. were indexed in the Scopus throughout 1933-2019 ( 87 years ) with the following information: (A) The first article was published in 1933; (B) 21 different countries contributed in studies related to Lophomonas spp.; (C) China ranked first with 16 publications about Lophomonas spp.; and (D) “Brugerolle, G” and “Beams, H.W.” from France and the US participated in 4 articles respectively, as the highest number of publications in the Lophomonas spp. network. Discussion: After 87 years, Lophomonas still remains unknown for many researchers and physicians around the world. Further studies with high quality and international collaboration are urgently needed to determine different epidemiological aspects and the real burden of the mysterious parasite worldwide.

The objective of this paper is to present a review of current research on the valuation of ecosystem services, using emergy evaluation methodology (EME). A bibliometric analysis and a systematic review were carried out between 2000 and 2020, using all of Web of Science database subfields that collected 187 papers, selected through the keywords “emergy” and “ecosystem services”. In the second part of the research, we carried out a new search on Web of Science of the 187 initial articles produced, with the words “valuation” and “economic”, in order to analyze those directly related to the evaluation of ecosystem services. The results showed that the EME method is an effective tool to evaluate ecosystem services, since it relates economic and ecological aspects in the evaluations. The research also indicated that the use of isolated methods does not appear to be the most appropriate solution, and that emergy used in combination with other methodologies can be used to obtain more accurate and comprehensive results to evaluate natural resources.

Creative accounting has its background since early studies in 1975, until the present time. It continues to be a subject of great interest for the companies and interested parties. Thus, the current paper will aim to answer the following proposed research questions: 1. Which are the most used methods for detecting the manipulation of financial statements in the literature? 2. Which are the terms that are most frequently encountered in the literature associated with “creative accounting? 3. Which are the journals that have the highest frequency of articles written on the topic “creative accounting”? 4. Over time, how did research evolve in the field of creative accounting? 5. Which countries are most preoccupied in publishing regarding this topic? To answer the research question 1, the models published in the literature for measuring manipulation techniques through creative accounting were reviewed and analyzed. For the remaining research questions, a bibliometric analysis for the publications in this area was performed. For collecting the sample, articles on this topic were selected from the international Web of Science database. Following this, a bibliometric analysis of the articles was performed, using the VOSviewer program. A total of 4045 publications on creative accounting were identified. Through the bibliometric analysis we have answered research question 2, by identifying the key words that have the closest proximity to creative accounting. To answer the remaining research questions, we identified the journals with the highest frequency of publication and the countries with the highest interest on the topic. It is especially important to evaluate the quality of this many research papers and to obtain valuable information.
