New social risks have arisen due to the deepening of global labour division and the invasion of digital technologies into the production of goods and the delivery of services, but also due to changing preferences and individual work capacities over the life course. As these risks are not only connected with unemployment but also with income volatility due to critical life-course transitions (in particular, between family work and labour-market work, lifelong learning and employment), the need to extend unemployment insurance (UI) towards a system of employment insurance becomes evident. This argument is developed by focusing on the investment character of social insurance against the mainstream view of moral hazard related to any insurance, and by providing good practices or opportunities from various European member states.

Throughout Western highly industrialised countries, there has been a marked shift toward more conservative social policies signalling a dismantling of the welfare state as part of the process of globalisation. This paper examines the aetiology of the (un)employment insurance programme in the Canadian context. Recently, legislators have tightened eligibility rules, lowered earnings replacement rates and altered coverage requirements. While these changes signal a shredding of the social safety net, they differentially impact on certain segments of the population. Despite official pronouncements of fairness, employment insurance changes intensify the subordination women experience in the paid labour force.

Personal Sales (Personal Seller) is an insurance agent from a company that can deal directly with consumers so that later there will be buying interest in insurance. To increase consumer buying interest, promotional inconvenience, and seller personalities are expected to be able to influence consumers so that after buying interest arises, consumers will be able to decide on the brand selection on insurance. The results of this study indicate that promotional discomfort has a negative and significant effect on consumer buying interest, while a personal seller has a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interest, and consumer buying interest has a positive and significant effect on brand selection. Based on the results of testing the Q2 model gets a value of 0.774, which shows the predicted model is appropriate.

A B S T R A C TInsurance is critical need for the community to prepare for what happens inthe future such as critical illness, accidents, pension funds and death. Theinsurance company appreciates the contribution made by the agent by providingrewards, be it in the form of financial, non-financial as well as in the form of otherbenefits. Rewarding has a positive purpose, but the problem is that giving rewardshas the opposite effect. Agents who only focus on the rewards they can get andonly give importance to this allows agents to tend to focus on the result withoutpaying attention to the behaviour and processes in it. This study aims todetermine the effect of reward and work motivation on agent performance in theLampung branch of Allianz Life Indonesia insurance.
