Subtitling is a challenging task making subtitlers use precise strategies to improve the quality of the subtitles. This paper aims at identifying the subtitling strategies employed in subtitling the culture-bound terms in the Jordanian movie entitled “Theeb” and assessing the translation of such culture-bound terms. The dialect used in this movie is the Bedouin Jordanian Arabic. So, the translator faced two dilemmas: (1) Understanding the Bedouin Jordanian-Arabic dialect and understanding the dimensions and features of this distinguished culture. (2) Translating this work, which is loaded with cultural expressions, into English. Furthermore, the study deals with the issue of overcoming the difficulties faced by translation of Arabic-language audiovisual dialogues into English. To achieve the purpose of this study, the data was collected from the movie "Theeb" and then analyzed. The results show that not all the subtitling strategies were used. Those left unused were dislocation, condensation, decimation, and resignation strategies. Hence, this article critically evaluates this subtitling, exposing pitfalls and offering more efficient renderings in a practical context.

As a scientific work, thesis is not just a formalities requirement that automatically can lead students to finish their education in bachelor level. It must be argued in munaqasyah (thesis examination) that examined by some examiners not only as the test but also as moral and academic responsibilities. It can be as the academical standard or level of the quality of the scholarly works that the students need to fulfil. This study aims the first is  to describe the quality of thesis has been made by the students in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature in 2010-2012, second to reveal what factors caused the high or low quality of the thesis, third what steps should be taken so that quality of the thesis can increase time by time; and the last is whether there are elements of plagiarism in it, and the percentage of the level of plagiarism in it? To answer the above question, the researcher uses a qualitative research by collecting from the thesis existed by case study Approach.---Sebagai sebuah karya ilmiah, skripsi bukanlah sekedar merupakan syarat formalitas yang scara otomatis dapat mengantar mahasiswa ke jenjang kesarjanaan yang didamba-dambakan. Skripsi harus dipertahankan di depan sidang munaqasyah (sidang ujian skripsi), sebagai ujian peresmian pengujian kadar kualitas karya ilmiah yang dituis mahasiswa. Secara umum, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kualitas keilmiahan skripsi yang dibuat mahasiswa jurusan/prodi bahasa dan sastra Arab tahun 2010-2012, dan secara khusus untuk mengungkapkan factor-faktor apa yang menyebabkan tinggi atau rendahnya kualitas skripsi, langkah-langkah apa yang harus ditempuh agar skripsi mahasiswa berkualitas, dan apakah ada unsur plagiat di dalamnya, serta sejauh mana tingkat plagiatisme tersebut? Untuk menjawab pertanyaan di atas, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif meskipun data-data dikumpulkan secara kuantitatif. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan studi kasus (case-studies).

This study aimed at investigating the problems of Arabic teachers’ professional competence in improving the quality of the graduates at MA Al-Musdariyah 2 Cimahi. Phenomenology, scientific approach, and a formal juridical approach were used as the method in this study. This study belonged to a case study. The result of this study showed that the main problems related to the teacher’s professional competence in teaching and learning Arabic were an unsuitable academic qualification, the lack of teachers’ welfare, teachers’ discipline and awareness, tutoring, and training. The implication of this study indicated that teachers’ professional competence to improve the quality of the graduates had been implemented. However, the implementation of teachers’ professional competence was considered less than optimal. It influenced the quality of the graduates. In other words, the objectives of teaching and learning activities were not achieved. Therefore, in this case, teachers as the most important factor in teaching and learning processes should improve their competences as a manifestation to improve the quality of the graduates.

Competence is skills that are closely related to the effectiveness of person’s performance in a particular field. Similarly in education, competence is the key to student success, and also the great competence of the majors chosen by the students will lead to increased quality of majors. Arabic Language Education Department in IAIN Kendari is a department that prepares students to become educators and scientists in Arabic language which has competence in Arabic were nice and had a high competitiveness. This research uses descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach based on case study design. The data collection is done by in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and open questionnaire. The results showed (1) a strategy to increase student competence in Arabic language on Arabic language education department at IAIN Kendari still ineffective that was described by least of activities that support the increased student’s competence in Arabic language and also its lack of consistency in implementing additional programs for students of Arabic language education department (2) the helping and resistoring factors to increase student’s competence contained on lecturer’s performance in the classroom, facilities of language learning, and student’s motivation. lecturer’s performance in the classroom has given many help to increase student’s competence in Arabic, facilities to assist in learning the Arabic language still needs to be cared and activated again or making the new and interesting activities, and student’s motivation in the study of Arabic is still lacking is due to the absence of another place for practicing the Arabic language competencies that they have acquired, and also the lack of student’s interest in attention of learning at the classroom caused by the bored atmosphere of the class (3) the problem solving by formulating a strategy based on suggestions and feedback from lecturers and students in Arabic language education department is a path that can be taken by Arabic language education department in IAIN Kendari to improve student’s competence in Arabic language.

ABSTRACT This paper tries to uncover and elaborate on the management of the Al-Risalah Institute for Arabic language education and training. One of the informal institutions in the field of language education that has recently grown rapidly. Al-Risalah has successfully developed its wings in improving the quality of education, educators and students. Educator who is a special expert in teaching Arabic for non-Arabic from Sudan, Middle East with 15 years of experience in Indonesia. Although there are many informal institutions in the field of language that offer convenience in learning Arabic, many also experience difficulties and are unable to survive in the current era of globalization. This is because the management of the institution does not pay attention to quality and quality. Al-Risalah is present in the midst of Indonesian society who provides quality assurance in terms of institutional management and learning. This study uses a qualitative approach that describes critically in the discovery of meaning. The type and strategy used in this research is case study research by analyzing educational management theory. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the planning of the Al-Risalah curriculum is very good and structured. In determining the program, Al-Risalah puts forward the aspects of communication and deliberation together between leaders, heads of departments and staff. Organizational structure, namely: 1 leader and pioneer of the Al-Risalah Institute, 3 staff, 1 head of division as well as staff, the number of students is approximately 100 people. The evaluation is carried out using the Al-Arabiyatu Bayna Yadaik book which has tests for each level. With the aim of having 4 language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. Keywords: Analysis, Management, and Arabic ABSTRAK Tulisan ini mencoba mengungkap dan mengelaborasikan manajemen Lembaga Al-Risalah pendidikan bahasa Arab dan pelatihan. Salah satu lembaga informal di bidang pendidikan bahasa yang belakangan ini berkembang pesat. Al-Risalah telah sukses mengembangkan sayapnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, tenaga pendidik dan siswa. Pendidik yang merupakan tenaga ahli spesial pengajaran bahasa arab untuk non Arab dari Sudan, Timur Tengah yang sudah berpengalaman selam 15 tahun di Indonesia. Meskipun sudah banyak lembaga informal di bidang bahasa yang menawarkan kemudahan dalam mempelajari bahasa arab namun banyak juga yang mengalami kesulitan dan tidak mampu bertahan di era globalisasi saat ini. Hal ini disebabkan karena manajemen lembaga yang tidak memerhatikan kualitas dan mutunya. Al-Risalah hadir di tengah-tengah masyarakat Indonesia yang memberikan jaminan kualitas dalam hal manajemen kelembagaan dan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan secara kritis dalam penemuan makna. Tipe dan strategi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu case study research dengan menganalisis teori manajemen pendidikan, Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu interview, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa planning kurikulum Al-Risalah sudah sangat baik dan terstruktur. Dalam penentuan program, Al-Risalah mengedepankan aspek komunikasi dan musyawarah secara bersama-sama antar pimpinan, kepala bagian dan staf. Struktur Organisasi yaitu : 1 pimpinan sekaligus perintis Lembaga Al-Risalah, 3 orang staf, 1 orang kepala bagian sekaligus sebagai staf, jumlah siswa kurang lebih 100 orang. Pengevaluasian dilakukan dengan menggunakan kitab Al-Arabiyatu Bayna Yadaik yang memiliki ujian-ujian setiap level. Dengan tujuan memiliki 4 kemahiran berbahasa: keterampilan mendengar, membaca, berbicara, dan menulis. Kata kunci: Analisis, Manajemen, dan Bahasa Arab.

This research aims to describe the reality of the curriculum of teacher preparation in the Department of Arabic Language Teaching at the Maulana Malik Ibrahim Islamic State University Malang and unveiling the conceptual framework for the preparation of Arabic language teachers in this Department.  The methodology used in this paper is the qualitative case study. The results of this research are that the curriculum for the preparation of teachers in the Department of Arabic Language Teaching at this university is based on competencies based curriculum  and the criterion of the Indonesian national framework for qualifications and the idea of the education of the first kernel, which includes the development of personality and the aspect of pedagogy and research and Arabic language science, to provide students with teaching skills and competencies in the field; and The conceptual framework for the preparation of teachers in this department includes the philosophy and standards of the department, the vision, mission and objectives, the included cognitive rules, specifications for graduates, and the system of evaluation adopted for it. The theoretical conclusion of this research is that the quality of the curriculum for the preparation of teachers depends on the extent of the link between the teacher preparation program and its conceptual framework, and the potential of the institutions of preparation to equip students to translate educational theories into practical teaching in schools.

Purpose Misophonia is a sound tolerance disorder condition in certain sounds that trigger intense emotional or physiological responses. While some persons may experience misophonia, a few patients suffer from misophonia. However, there is a dearth of literature on audiological assessment and management of persons with misophonia. The purpose of this report is to discuss the assessment of misophonia and highlight the management option that helped a patient with misophonia. Method A case study of a 26-year-old woman with the complaint of decreased tolerance to specific sounds affecting quality of life is reported. Audiological assessment differentiated misophonia from hyperacusis. Management included retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy based on the principles described by P. J. Jastreboff and Jastreboff (2014). A misophonia questionnaire was administered at regular intervals to monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Results A detailed case history and audiological evaluations including pure-tone audiogram and Johnson Hyperacusis Index revealed the presence of misophonia. The patient benefitted from intervention, and the scores of the misophonia questionnaire indicated a decrease in the severity of the problem. Conclusions It is important to differentially diagnose misophonia and hyperacusis in persons with sound tolerance disorders. Retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy can help patients who suffer from misophonia.

This paper presents a successful behavioral case study in treatment of chronic refractory cough in a 60-year-old adult female. The efficacy for speech-language pathology treating chronic cough is discussed along with description of treatment regime. Discussion focuses on therapy approaches used and the patient's report of changes in quality of life and frequency, duration, and severity reduction of her cough after treatment.

So far, in implementing school strategies, they tend not to utilize Information and Communication Technology (ICT), despite the availability of ICT resources available. Stages of strategic management are needed to generate the vision, mission, objectives, policy, program, budget, and procedures as well as control and evaluation process as an effort to utilize ICT to improve school quality. Based on the interpretation and the results of the study, it is concluded that schools have organized stages in strategic management that enable schools to have a quality profile. The impact of effective utilization of ICTs for schools is the achievement of effective school management, as per the National Education Standards, which is characterized by effective planning, implementation, control, and evaluation of school ICTs.The purpose of this study is to get a general description, describe, and reveal the Strategic Management of Information and Communication Technology Utilization to Improve the Quality of School Learning in Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational High School and Garut 1 Vocational High School, both on environmental analysis, strategic formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation. The research method used in this research is the case study method, because the problems studied occur in the place and situation of Ciledug Al Musaddadiyah Vocational School and Vocational High School 1 Garut. The use of case study models in this study is based on the consideration that to provide an overview of the strategic management activities of the use of ICTs carried out at vocational high schools with the ultimate goal of being able to improve the quality of school learning. Based on observations in the field of SMK 1 Garut and SMK Al Musaddadiyah Ciledug Garut is one of the public schools and private schools that have these advantages.

In this article, we evaluate the effectiveness of Cone Beam Computed Tomography, through a case study, in assessing the complication of intracranial bleeding during an endovascular treatment of brain arteriovenous malformation when compared to Multislice-Detector Computed Tomography performed immediately after the procedure. The image quality of Cone Beam Computed Tomography has enough diagnostic value in differentiating between haemorrhage, embolic materials and the arteriovenous malformation nidus to facilitate physicians to decide for further management of the patient.
