Based on the experiment of two inbred aromatic rice varieties and one hybrid aromatic rice line treated under four different temperatures( daymean temperature 21°C, 23°C, 26°C and 30°C respectively) during grain filling stage in phytotrons, the shape and arrangement of endosperm starch granules in rice grain transection were observed by scanning electron microscope and the related characteristics of rice grain qualities of chalky percent and chalkiness were analyzed at the same time. The results showed that under the lower temperature( daymean temperature21°C and 23°C), many large compound starch granules with clear angulars packed together regularly without significant natural gaps bewteen starch granules in the tansectional endosperm. However, with the increase of temperature, starch granules in the transectional endosperm were changed from regularly shaped and closely and orderly arranged to various shaped and chaoticly arranged with obvious natural gaps between starch granules, which was closely consistent with the poorer appearance quality under the higher temperature, which indicated that the endosperm structure is closely related with appearance quality of aromatic rice.

The article also presents the results of experimental studies of the effect of oxidation with atmospheric oxygen, an increase in the process temperature on the plasticity of bitumen. The efficiency of bitumen oxidation depends on the size of the contact surface between the liquid and gas phases. Acceleration of the oxidation process is achieved 6-7 times with good mixing of the reacting phases. The article is devoted to the analysis and study of various methods of obtaining petroleum bitumen and improving the adhesion properties in various mineral materials. Using the example of the Astrakhan gas processing plant, the effectiveness of the addition of additives - nitrogen-, sulfur-containing substances, elemental sulfur, etc. - to improve the adhesion properties of bitumen to mineral materials is shown. The analysis of the effect of temperature differences in summer and winter on the binding properties of bitumen is carried out. A method for preliminary stripping of volatile components from oils is considered, which leads to a decrease in the content of paraffin-naphthenic hydrocarbons and an improvement in the quality of the obtained bitumen.

The objective of the present study was to determine the drying kinetics, moisture diffusivity and sensory quality of convective air dried beef. The effect of temperature of drying (30-60°C) and thickness of samples (2.5-10 mm) on the convective thin-layer drying kinetics of beefdried in a cabinet dryer was evaluated. Five semi-theoretical models were fit to the drying experimentaldata with the aim of predicting drying characteristics of beef and fitting quality of models determined using the standard error of estimate (SEE)and coefficient of determination (R2). Determination ofeffective moisture diffusivity (Deff) from the experimental drying datawas done and sensory quality of the optimized dried cooked and uncookedbeef samplesevaluated. Drying time and rate of drying increased with an increasing temperature but decreased with increased slice thickness. However, there was overlapping of drying curves at 40-50°C. Among the selected models, Page model gave the best prediction of beef drying characteristics. Effective moisture diffusivity (Deff) ranged between 4.2337 x 10-11 and 5.5899 x 10-10 m2/s, increasing with an increase in air temperature and beef slice thickness.Of all the sensory parameters evaluated, texture was the only attribute that gave significantly different (P > 0.05) scores between the cooked and uncooked dried beef samples.

Eggs of Ambystoma maculatum in early stages of development were separated into two groups and maintained at 5 and 14 °C, respectively. In one series of animals comprising both temperature groups, the right otic vesicle was extirpated at stage 27. In another series the right forelimb disc was extirpated at stage 30. Following operation, animals of both groups were kept at 18 °C. Frequency and extent of reconstitution were compared between the two temperature groups. The 5° group was superior to the 14° group in the number of ears and forelimbs reconstituted. The extent of ear reconstitution and the initial quality of forelimb reconstitution were also superior in the 5° group. Statistical analysis of the data indicates that the difference between the two temperature groups is highly significant in both series. It is concluded that a slower pre-operative rate of development, caused by hypothermia, enhances the regenerative capacity of both ear and forelimb fields in the salamander embryo.

Hydroxyapatite (HA) is a calcium phosphate compound [Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2] which is non-toxic and has high biocompatibility. HA can be synthesized from natural basic ingredients with high calcium carbonate (CaCO3) content such as chicken eggshells. Here, we reported the synthesis of HA from chicken eggshells by hydrothermal methods. The effects of temperature synthesis of 120 °C and 230 °C on the purity and crystallinity were investigated in order to get information about best synthesis temperature for producing high quality of HA. The structure and crystallinity of HA were determined by XRD and FTIR. Morphology of HA is determined by TEM, while the composition was determined by XRF, respectively. High purity samples of HA with hexagonal structure of P63/m were successfully obtained with synthesis temperature of 120 °C and 230 °C. For HA synthesized in 120°C, the purity was 97.7%, while for HA synthesized in 230 °C, the purity was 97.8%. Two types of impurities, namely Ca(OH)2 and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) ware detected in both samples, It was also obtained the degree of crystallinity of 26.86% and 56.46% for samples synthesized at 120 °C and 230 °C, respectively. HA synthesized with at 230 °C has a higher and better crystallinity.
