The government's policy to prevent or reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus is to enforce the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (LSSR) so that transactions that previously use paper money and cash turn into digital transactions. So far, e-wallets are considered as a transaction facility that makes it easier for users. This study aims to analyze the differentiation attributes that affect millennial considerations and attitudes towards using to intention to use e-wallets during LSSR Covid-19 on millennials in Tangerang City. The research sample was 96 respondents using purposive sampling technique, namely millennials who use e-wallets in making payments. The instrument used was a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5, data processing using the Smart PLS program. This study's results, the intention to use e-wallet of the millennial generation, were influenced by brand image, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness through consideration millennial, and attitudes toward using as intervening variables with R2 adjusted 0.638. This study's results have implications for SMEs business actors to switch payment systems from cash payments to payments using e-wallets.

This study aimed to qualitatively investigate the factors that influence teachers' behavioral intention to use mobile technology (BIU) for language teaching employing the original technology acceptance model (TAM) as a framework. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 28 Arabic and English teachers. The study results revealed that there were several external variables influencing teachers' behavioral intention to use mobile technology. It was also found that participants had mixed levels of perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), and attitude toward use (ATU). Moreover, it was concluded that ATU had a direct impact on BIU and PU was the responsible factor for participants who had a mixed ATU.

Abstract Background The employment of IT in healthcare reflects a need to meet the increasing demands of patients and to upgrade the quality and productivity of the provided services. However, the literature demonstrates many failures in systems and IT technology implementation in the context of healthcare. One of the reasons behind these failures is users’ resistance to accept such new technology. The ministry of health in Saudi Arabia has prioritized the embracing of new technologies that could level up the healthcare service, such as the adoption of electronic medical record (EMR) systems. On the other hand, studies that address the acceptance and use of hospital information systems and EMRs in Saudi Arabia from patients’ points of view are scarce. The aim of this study was to explore patients’ acceptance of an EMR system by testing a proposed theoretical model adapted from the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Methods An online questionnaire was used where questions were based on the proposed model constructs (facilitating conditions, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and behavioral intention). One hundred sixteen patients responded to the questionnaire. The model was then tested using the structural equation modeling method to identify the factors that affect patients’ intention to use the online services of the EMR. Results The analysis of the research model suggested that (1) facilitating conditions that involved patients’ knowledge, skills, and the provided support by the hospital directly influenced the degree of perceived ease of use (PEOU) of the system. (2) PEOU directly affected the EMR’s perceived usefulness (PU). (3) PU directly affected patients’ attitudes (ATT) toward using the EMR. (4) A positive effect is found between ATT and the behavioral intention to use EMR. Conclusion The study results have implications for healthcare IT acceptance research and efforts in Saudi Arabia, as to date patients’ perspectives have received little attention. The research also makes a theoretical contribution as it validated the proposed model, which integrated constructs from TAM and UTAUT.

Payment instruments are part of technological developments. The existence of this development is utilized by finance companies such as peer-to-peer lending technology. Peer-to-peer lending in Indonesia continues to increase, one of the products of peer-to-peer lending companies is SPayLater which is a product of Shopee Indonesia and PT. Lentera Dana. This study provides an overview of the effect of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived compatibility towards attitude toward using and perceived cost, subjective norm, personal innovativeness on intention to use. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing 250 online questionnaires to Shopee consumers. Data analysis was carried out using SEM and assisted by PLS 3 software. The results of this study indicate that perceived ease of use does not affect attitude toward using SPayLater payment system, perceived cost and personal innovativeness do not affect intention to use the SPayLater payment system, while perceived usefulness, perceived compatibility, attitude toward using and subjective norm affect the intention to use the SPayLater payment system.

Purpose This paper aims to investigate if perceived security, trust and perceived privacy affect both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Also, the study explores if trust, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use influence consumers’ intentions to use the e-payment system which is supported by testing the moderation effect of gender on the intention to use such systems in the higher education institutes. Design/methodology/approach In total, 850 participants from United Arab Emirates (UAE) universities have filled an online questionnaire prepared for these aims. The survey instrument is composed of 22 items. The primary data was used to test the study model, proposed constructs and the study hypotheses using the Smart PLS Software. Findings The research confirmed that perceived security, trust and perceived privacy affect both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Also, the study found that trust, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have anticipated the significance of consumers’ intention to use e-payment system which is found also moderated by gender. Research outcomes indicated an important contribution towards the acceptance of e-payment systems and the common design of e-commerce systems. Originality/value Research outcomes have indicated an important contribution toward the acceptance of e-payment systems and the common design of e-commerce systems. Additionally, this study helped in increasing the reader’s understanding of various aspects of e-commerce, specifically consumers’ trust and privacy protection which consequently allows the online sellers to formulate appropriate strategies and actions imperative to serve the online purchasers and target the internet users.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to propose and test an extended version of technology acceptance model (TAM) to examine consumers’ acceptance of radio frequency identification (RFID) cashless payment systems in the hospitality industry. Design/methodology/approach A comprehensive structural model was developed by adding two additional constructs to original TAM, namely, self-efficacy and perceived risk. A self-administered online questionnaire was used to collect the data of the study from 305 respondents in the USA. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to validate the measurement model and structural equation modeling analysis was performed to test the proposed model. Findings Study results indicated that self-efficacy was significantly related to perceived ease of use. In addition, perceived risk significantly negatively influenced perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Study results further illustrated that perceived ease of use had a significant impact on perceived usefulness and both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness were significantly associated with intention to use. Practical implications Study findings provide significant practical implications for US hospitality operators and technology vendors for identifying factors affecting users’ acceptance of RFID cashless payment systems in the hospitality industry. Originality/value By extending TAM, this study is one of the first studies to investigate RFID cashless payment system acceptance in the hospitality industry.
