<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The writing of this article aims to analyze and describe of process student management of university’s senior high school.  Method in this research is descriptive qualitative, the technique of collecting data through interview, observation, and documentation, and were data analysed by interactive model, trouhg reduction, display, and conclution. Subjects as data resource in this research were researcher, principal, and vice principal of student. Finding of this research indicates the student management process held by cooperation between school and university in auditing in every functions of student management.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penulisan artikel ini bermaksud untuk menganalisa dan mendeskripsikan proses manajemen peserta didik di SMA binaan universitas. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan model interaktif melalui reduksi, penyampaian, dan konklusi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti, kepala sekolah, wakil kepala kesiswaan, dan tenaga pendidik. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa proses manajemen peserta didik dilaksanakan melibatkan kerjasama dengan universitas dalam pegauditan setiap fungsi dalam manajemen peserta didik.

The objective of the research is to investigate the use of transitivity process in students' descriptive text and to find out the most dominant process of transitivity used. The data analyzed were 46 clauses taken from descriptive text written by six students of tenth grade of senior high school. In this research, the writers used descriptive qualitative method. The result of the research showed that there were 4 types of processes that occurred in the data, they were: material process (8, 70%), mental process (17, 39%), relational process (45, 65%), and existential process (28, 26%). While, behavioral and verbal process were not found. The most dominant process found was relational process. It implies that students were aware how descriptive text should be written, since one of language features in descriptive text is using clauses with relational process.

This research aims to analyze vocabulary in the English Materials textBook for the first grade of senior high school. This study focuses on the vocabulary presented in the English Materials Book for High School First Grade. This research was conducted to solve the  issues of the importance of vocabulary as a part of learning content and the appropriate vocabulary for learning content including a textbook based on Tomlinson’s theory.  which is also under Tomlinson's theory. The research design is descriptive qualitative analysis with the book as the main source for gathering the data. The book consists of fifteen chapters, and each chapter provides vocabulary content. The information on this exploration is the material of the English Materials textbook. The after effect of this research shows that the English Materials textbook  satisfies 15 measures or 93,7% corresponds with  the Tomlinson's theory. In this way, the English materials textbook  is suitably used for the students. Keywords: analysis, vocabulary, English textbook, Tomlinson’s theory Analisis Kosakata Buku Materi Bahasa Inggris untuk Kelas X SMA  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kosakata dalam buku teks Materi Bahasa Inggris untuk siswa kelas I SMA. Kajian ini berfokus pada kosakata yang disajikan dalam Buku Materi Bahasa Inggris untuk Kelas Satu Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memecahkan masalah pentingnya kosakata sebagai bagian dari konten pembelajaran dan kosakata yang sesuai untuk konten pembelajaran termasuk buku teks berdasarkan teori Tomlinson. yang juga di bawah teori Tomlinson. Desain penelitian adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan buku sebagai sumber utama pengumpulan data. Buku ini terdiri dari lima belas bab, dan setiap bab menyediakan konten kosakata. Informasi tentang eksplorasi ini adalah bahan dari buku teks Materi Bahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku teks Materi Bahasa Inggris memenuhi 15 ukuran atau 93,7% sesuai dengan teori Tomlinson. Dengan cara ini, buku teks materi bahasa Inggris cocok digunakan untuk siswa.

Since the outbreak of Coronavirus in 2020, teaching and studying activities commonly conducted in the classrooms were shifted to online, which caused students to adapt and accept without compromising. This study analyzed the dialogue texts expressing students' hopes and views about the future of learning amidst the Covid-19 pandemic written by the Senior High School students of Nanyang Zhi Hui school in Medan, Sumatera Utara. The objectives are to analyze the mood, modality, and modality orientation types; and figure out the dominantly-applied mood, modality, and orientation types in the dialogue texts. This descriptive qualitative research applied the Mood and Modality theory by Halliday and other linguists. The study revealed that 1) three mood types: declarative, interrogative, and imperative, four types of modality: probability, usuality, obligation, and inclination range from low, median, and high degrees; four orientations: subjective-explicit, subjective-implicit, objective-explicit, and objective-implicit occurred in the texts; and 2) the clauses are represented through the extensive use of declarative mood (80,74%), median probability (47%), and implicitly objective modality orientation (45,15%). The study concludes that the students tend to give their insights using statements with median probability and orientation of objective-implicit in the dialogue, which shows a lack of confidence in the utterances.

AbstractThis study aims to reveal Principal Managerial in increasing Teacher Work Productivity at State Senior High School 1 Rasau Jaya which includes: planning, organizing, motivating, and rewarding. The study used a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the Principal, Vice Principal of Curriculum, Vice Principal of Student Affairs, Head of Libraries, and Teachers. All subjects are teachers who teach at State Senior High School 1 Rasau Jaya. Data collection methods used interviews, documentation, and observation. The data analysis model uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Test the validity of the data using trials and triangulation. The results of the study show the following: 1) Planning can be done through identifying what will be programmed, how it will be programmed, who will be involved, when it will be implemented, and how it will be implemented. The product of the planning is in the form of a School Activity Plan 2) This organization is carried out by division, principal and function equipped with an explanation of the duties of each teacher, 3) Motivating is carried out verbally and non-verbally continuously with Target and self-evaluation techniques Progress, Expectation of results, and Social comparisons and 4) Rewards are carried out with techniques that maintain a conducive working atmosphere. Keywords: Leadership, Managerial, Work Productivity

This article aims to design a learning media based on the events of Karang Resik as an effort to strengthen the values of nationalism in senior high school students in Tasikmalaya. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, will be obtained from literature studies. Vidgram learning media is a learning media in the form of video that is integrated into Instagram media. The media of this event-based Karang Resik event illustrates the values of unity, freedom and a sense of unity among the Tasikmalaya people, Ciamis, TRI, Hizbullah, Sabilillah in the Karang Resik event. With the strengthen of nationalism values in senior high school students, this media can be a supporting medium for solving the problem of intolerance and conservatism in Tasikmalaya City, as well as being an example for the current condition of Tasikmalaya to create and build unity among all Tasikmalaya communities.

 The objectives of this study are; (1) to formulate patterns of coding used in conversation texts of the English Zone textbook, 2) to investigate how coding are structured in conversation texts of the English Zone textbook, and 3) to reason why the coding techniques are used in conversation texts of the English Zone textbook. The data were taken from conversation texts of students’ English textbook: English Zone for senior high school students year grade XI (SMA). Descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. There were six conversation texts as the data source was taken from students’ English textbook: English Zone. The findings of this study shown that there are two types of patterns of coding in conversation texts, namely congruent and metaphorical coding. Congruent coding patterns are built in complete mood and residue (at least using mood) and metaphorical coding patterns are built in elliptical mood pattern. Mood and residue pattern is caused by the system of the conversation is using Proposition system. It means the conversation texts involve the statement and question, in another word, the content of the conversation dominantly are about giving and demanding information.  It was found that conversation texts convey the simple structure of conversation which means to attract the readers or students to understand easier by using complete mood and residue and elliptical mood pattern of conversation text is in less number. Thus, those conversation text in English Zone textbook written in simple structures in case of language usage to make the message or information easier to understand. Keywords:English Zone Textbook; Congruent and Metaphor Coding;and Proposition System of Conversation Texts

The aim of this research was to find out the roles of songs in teaching listening at Senior High School. Teachers can use some media that are suitable with the condition of the class and students. For that reason, song is one of media that is familiar for students. Descriptive qualitative was the approach of this research. The data were derived from interview, observation and documentation. The interview were conducted by 7 participants consisting of 6 students and 1 teacher. The subject of this research was the twelve grade students of one of Senior High School in Surabaya. This study found 3 roles and 5 benefits of songs in teaching listening at Senior High School. The result of roles are 1) song is a cozy medium to teach listening. 2) song is used to entertain students in listening class. 3) song is used to motivate students to learn English in the classroom. Besides, the result of benefits are 1) the students can learn vocabulary and meaning. 2) the students can learn pronunciation. 3) the students can train their listening skill. 4) the students can enjoy the listening class. 5) the students became active and confident in the class. In conclusion, songs became one of  good media in teaching listening because the students can feel comfortable, happy, and do not feel bored when they are in listening session. To all intens and purposes, there is a need to be conducted with having many participants for further research both different school or level. This is to get rich of the data in order to have more concrete data.  Keywords: Roles of song,  listening media

This research was aimed to describe the expression that the students used in talking to others to show their politeness in doing discussion in the classroom, but not in learning environment. The researcher applied descriptive qualitative method and used recording as the only instrument. The participant of this research was the second grade student of Senior High School in SMAN 5 Barru which consisted of 21 students. The result of this research showed that there were many factors influencing the students’ politeness in communication such as situation, status, age, culture, gender, and so on. And there were two common ways that the students used in expressing their politeness which was questioning and commanding.

This study was aimed at finding out: (1) the types of grammatical errors in narrative writing made by eleventh-grade students of one private Islamic senior high school Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia and (2) the most frequent type of grammatical errors in narrative writing made by eleventh-grade students of private Islamic senior high school Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia. This study was a descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected from narrative writing written by the 32 eleventh grade students. In this study, grammatical items analyzed were covering noun, pronoun, verb, conjunction, adjective, adverb and preposition. In analyzing students’ errors, some procedures of error analysis were applied. They were identification, description, and explanation. The frequencies of errors were calculated in percentages. Based on the result of the analysis, there were 621 grammatical errors found in students’ narrative writing. Errors in using verb became the most frequent type of errors with 308 errors (49.59%), followed by errors in pronoun with 136 errors (21.90%), in adjective with 87 errors (14.00%), in preposition with 61 errors (9.82%), in noun with 13 errors (2.09%), in conjunction with 10 errors (1.61%) and the last errors in adverb with 6 errors (0.96%).

The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze feasibility of content (2) to analyze feasibility of presentation in the English Textbook “Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA/MA/SMK Kelas X” according to Curriculum 2013. This study used descriptive qualitative. The data collected for this study were from “Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA/MA/SMK Kelas X” published by Yrama Widya with the writer Otong Setiawan Dj. There are 12 chapters within this textbook and the writer determined to study 6 out of 12 chapters as the sample for the whole book. The results of this study were (1) the feasibility of content in English Textbook “Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA/MA/SMK Kelas X” according to Curriculum 2013 with percentage 89.58%. (2) the feasibility of Presentation in English Textbook “Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA/MA/SMK Kelas X” according to Curriculum 2013 with percentage 88.88%. (3) KD and KI in this textbook also according to Curriculum 2013.Therefore, it can be concluded that English Textbook “Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA-MA/SMK Kelas X” published by Yrama Widya, in terms of feasibility of content and feasibility of presentation, was good to be used in the first grade of senior high school using curriculum 2013.Keywords: Textbook, Curriculum 2013, Assessment rubric based on BSNP
