Self-study capacity is an important studying factor, especially maths, to promote learning efficiency. The research objective is topropose specific measures for developing self-studying capacity in Maths of high school students. The result proposes four measures for developing self-studying ability in Mathematics for high school students, including Motivating students' learning activities; Train skills and learning methods suitable for students' Math self-study tasks; Design learning tasks as a teaching method, in which gradually increasing difficulty for students to practice solving tasks; Practice evaluating the solutions and correcting mistakes in the process of solving math problems. The test results show that these four measures are highly necessary and feasible in the practice of teaching Mathematics in high schools. The last part of the study discusses each measure, the issues that need to be considered when putting these measures into practice.

The major aim of teaching Mathematics is to develop problem solving skill among the students. This article aims to find out the problem solving strategies and to test the students’ ability in using these strategies to solve problems. Using sample survey method, four hundred students were taken for this investigation. Students’ achievement in solving problems was tested for their Identification and Application of Problem Solving Strategies as a major finding, thirty one percent of the students’ achievement in mathematics is contributed by Identification and Application of Problem Solving Strategies.

The Jigsaw II, one form of Cooperative learning techniques is an efficient strategy to use in a language classroom. The basic activities include 1) Reading with team members 2) Expert group discussion 3) Team members report 4) Test 5) Team recognition. The jigsaw II strategy is easyto implement and works well with a wide range of students.Previous researches related to Jigsaw II shows that it is more powerful and effective and appropriate in situations where learning is from text based materials. Reviews related to the strategy shows that no researches have been carried out to develop the reading comprehension of the high school students, particularly in the Indian context. Hence through this paper an attempt has been made by the researcher to check the effectiveness of Jigsaw II in developing the reading comprehension of High school students. The study statistically revealed that there is significant difference in the reading comprehension achievement of the students who were taught by using the traditional method and to those taught by using the Jigsaw II strategy. In accordance with the qualitative and quantitative findings attained it was found that Jigsaw II was found to be more effective than the traditional teaching method in developing the reading comprehension of high school students.

English Reading skill is one of the most important skills for senior high school students who learn English as a foreign language (EFL). However, the present ELF teaching method is still teacher-centered which neglects students’ learning interest and their participation in the process of teaching. In 1990s, Western scholars proposed multi-modal theory which suggests that semiotic resources (sound, images, video, animation, motion, color, facial expressions, etc.) can be used to stimulate different senses of students so as to improve their learning efficiency. The present study is intended to apply the multi-modal approach to EFL reading teaching in senior high school and tries to find out whether the multimodal teaching can stimulate students’ interest in English reading and improve their reading proficiency. In this study, with students of a high school in Anhui in China as the research subjects, an English reading teaching experiment was carried out. The analysis of data collected from reading tests and questionnaires indicates that the application of multi-modal teaching approach in high school EFL reading teaching can stimulate students’ interest in English reading and improve students’ English reading proficiency, and that most students take a positive attitude towards multimodal teaching approach.

Recently, teaching - learning Science subjects in English has become an urgent need of Vietnamese Education. Although piloted in high schools for gifted students and high-qualified schools with experienced teachers and good students, teaching Science subjects in English still faces many obstacles for many reasons. Among them, finding an appropriate teaching method may be the biggest challenge. The students who are good at Science subjects often does not feel confident about English. Whilst, those who are proficient in foreign language are usually afraid of science subjects and have not yet built up speciallized vocabulary about science. In this context, teaching Science subjects using Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach shows high application potential due to the ability to balance both factors - Science knowledge and English simultaneously in a lesson. This study introduces the characteristics of CLIL approach and proposes the steps for preparing CLIL lesson plan. Also included is the analysis of the results of the Pedagogical experiment in High school of Education and Science.

The designing of high school / Islamic high school physics comic teaching materials has been done to improve students' critical thinking skills in Newton's Law material. The purpose of this research is to determine to develop a physics comic for high school / Islamic high school based on problem-based learning (PBL) to improve the creative thinking skills of students at MAN Sebukar. The research method used is the research and development method, namely the 4D development method which consists of 4 phases: defining, designing, developing and disseminating. At the defining stage, need analysis on curriculum, students, and materials were carried out. The designing stage was done by designing high school / Islamic high school physics comics based on problem based learning to improve students' creative thinking skills. At the developing stage, validity, practicality and effectiveness tests were carried out. Furthermore, the disseminating stage also carried out the practicality and effectiveness tests. At the defining stage, the analysis on results of the students’ score showed the low acquisition of students competencies is due to the low creative thinking skills of students, so a teaching material is designed that is in accordance with the student's needs, materials, and learning objectives that is expected to improve students’ learning competence, namely physics comics for senior high school students/Islamic senior high school students. Furthermore, at the designing stage, an initial draft of PBL-based for / Islamic high school physics comics was made in accordance with the curriculum used in the school where the research was conducted. And in the next stage, namely the developing stage, the analysis results were obtained from the development of physics comics for high school / Islamic high school which have valid (0.85), practical (94.67%), and effective criteria for skill assessment that are judges as very good category. And the final stage after developing stage, namely the disseminating stage, researchers carried out practicality and effectiveness tests in different classes and the practicality test results were obtained in the very practical category, namely 94.33% from students’ response questionnaires and effectiveness test results from the assessment of students knowledge with a percentage of completeness reaching 82.33. % in the very good category, the students' attitude competency reached an average score of 87.43% in the very good category, the skills competency reached an average score of 89.17% with the very good category. The designing of PBL-based high school / Islamic high school physics comics is able to improve students' creative thinking skill since it eventually gives impact on students’ scores.
