Abstract. The economic development of enterprises in the world and in Ukraine in 2020 and in the future will increasingly depend on taking into account new economic risks, among which it is appropriate to note the following: climate, epidemiological (especially coronavirus), deglobalization, protectionist, populist, inequality income. Against the background of the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting economic crisis, the sector of domestic small and medium-sized businesses focused on the provision of offline services has suffered the most. In fact, the demand for the services of catering, entertainment, tourism, hospitality, as well as the beauty industry and non-food retail in quarantine has fallen several times. At the same time, the need to pay wages, taxes, social security contributions, rents, loans to banks and counterparties for supplies and other services remained. At the same time, all types of businesses that have not had time to switch to providing goods and services online or adhere to business models related exclusively to the provision of personal offline services are at risk of bankruptcy in the future. The consequence of quarantine will be an economic crisis, and, consequently, a reduction in purchasing power and a change in consumer behavior. In general, there has been a violation of the traditional seasonality of sales, changing trends due to falling consumer incomes. At the same time, digital services are accelerating e-commerce, payment systems, online ordering, and delivery services. Also, among other economic risks in the activities of enterprises, special attention is paid to the need to identify and assess financial and climatic risks that arise due to restrictions imposed by international organizations and individual countries on business. Accordingly, companies engaged in climate-hazardous activities must calculate their financial losses in the future if they continue such business. Another problem is the fact that financial and climatic risks and other new economic risks have not been sufficiently studied and systematized, and their impact on the financial condition of enterprises in the world and in Ukraine has not been studied. Keywords: new economic risks, enterprise, deglobalization, protectionism, economic populism, economic inequality, Ukraine. Purpose – The past three decades have seen the transformation of manufacturing involving its global dispersion and fragmentation. However, a number of recent developments appear to suggest that manufacturing may be entering a new era of flux that will impact the configuration of production around the globe. The purpose of this paper is to address the major emerging themes that may shape this configuration and concludes that most of them are still in their initial stages and are not likely to create a radical shift in the next few years in how manufacturing is configured around the world. These themes were presented in a special session on “Manufacturing in the World – Where Next?” at the 2013 EurOMA Conference in Dublin, Ireland. Design/methodology/approach – The paper provides a series of perspectives on some key considerations pertaining to the future of manufacturing. An evaluation of their likely impact is offered and insights for the future of manufacturing are presented. Findings – The importance of a focus on the extended manufacturing network is established. The need for customer engagement and a forward looking approach that extends to the immediate customer and beyond emerges as a consistent feature across the different perspectives presented in the paper. There is both the potential and need for the adoption of innovative business models on the part of manufacturers. Originality/value – The paper presents in-depth perspectives from scholars in the field of manufacturing on the changing landscape of manufacturing. These perspectives culminate in a series of insights on the future of global manufacturing that inform future research agendas and help practitioners in formulating their manufacturing strategies.

The “Economics of Climate-Resilient Development” present a comprehensive mitigation plan to avoid future socio-economic crisis. The authors foresight that unless strategies are adapt effectively and efficiently today by the different communities and specially in the developing low income countries, the world would be vulnerable to economic shocks that never been experienced before. The book can be considered unique since it linked the economic development with the techniques of adaptation. It coincides with work the reviewer published about resilience economy where approaches for enhancing people and communities are explained in order to reach the minimum expected adaptability and flexibility. Buheji (2018a, 2018b).However, the work of Fankhauser and McDermott (2016) greatly focus on climate change, as the main challenge of economic development. The work would be greater if the editors ensure more inclusion and details on the nature of human being journeys. The issue of poverty covered in the book is a good example of foresighted socio-economic risk that needs to be mitigated to avoid deterioration due to many conditions that mostly would be uncontrollable due external unforeseen factors. In an earlier work, these factors were seen the cause for more complexity of the business models, which required proactive resilient practices, Buheji (2017).

The coronavirus that affected the entire world economy caused a global economic crisis, which led not only to significant losses — a reduction in GDP, an increase in unemployment, and a decrease in population incomes, but also revealed new opportunities for economic development. Thus, the coronavirus epidemic, which led to the widespread introduction of self-isolation, accelerated the process of digitalization of the world and domestic economy. One of the areas of digitalization will be discussed in this article.

The rate of change for the commercial printing industry with regard to technology, business models and customer demand is growing, and the landscape of the industry already looks vastly different from a few short decades ago. Across the commercial print sector today, there are many different types of companies – some very successful, with a young, skilled, enthusiastic workforce who have no trouble innovating and recruiting. However, as in any rapidly developing sector, other companies are trailing behind. Demographic changes are entering the market (Generation Z), as well as the upper levels of management in printing companies (Millennials), and “their preferences are now their demands”. This requires business models to be re-invented and a more intensive focus on issues relating to sustainability. The authors of the article summarize the future of the world of commercial printing and the current state of European commercial printing. They have based their work on a report published by the Smithers Research Institute in January 2020 on this topic and on the professional findings and arguments presented at major scientific conferences over the past two years, with the aim of getting these latest ideas to the earliest helping the researchers and practitioners to adapt to the rapidly changing situation and the challenge.

Magyarországon az elmúlt évtized második fele bizonyos értelemben "aranykornak" tekinthető. Ekkorra a gazdaság már kilábalt a kétezres évek végén ránk tört világgazdasági válságból, ugyanakkor konjunkturális haladás indult el. Ezzel szoros összefüggésben a munkaerőpiacon folytatódtak a kedvező fejlemények. A mostani évtized nyitásakor ránk támadt koronavírus okozta egészségügyi világjárvány mélyen érinti a gazdasági-társadalmi viszonyainkat. Elemzésünkben arra vállalkozunk, hogy az  említett aranykor  demográfiai, gazdasági, továbbá munkaerő-piaci főbb tényezőit számba vegyük, annak érdekében, hogy ezen tényezők válság utáni helyzetének, alakulásának látásához egyfajta lehetséges támasztékot, bázist adjunk.  Emellett éppen az egészségügyi járvány, illetve annak hatásai majdani elemzése érdekében, mintegy természetes módon kiemelten foglalkozunk a válság előtti időszak lakossági egészségességi állapotának egyes főbb jellemzőivel. In Hungary, the second part of the latest decade can in some sense called a „golden era”. By this time, the economy had recovered from the world economic crisis burst out in the late 2000s, and conjunctural development started. In close relation to this, favourable improvements appeared on the labour market. The world pandemic caused by Corona virus having attacked us at the opening of this decade is having a deep impact on our socio-economic circumstances. In this analysis, I undertake to consider the main demographic, economic and labour market factors of the mentioned golden era in order to provide a base for the picture of the evolution of these elements after the crisis. In addition, exactly for the sake of the future analyzation of the crisis and its impacts, I highlight the main characteristics of the people’s health conditions before the crisis.
