The article summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the current state of environmental pollution. The main purpose of the study is to update and promote the processing industry of plastic waste. Systematization of literary sources and approaches to solving the problem of environmental protection has shown that today the problem of plastic recycling is one of the most important facing humanity. The article presents the results of empirical analysis of the main indicators of production, use and processing of plastic, which showed the need to stimulate and develop enterprises in the processing industry.

Unprocessing household waste is one of environmental problem which has to be overcome by Kalisegoro society. People only depend on garbage transport service to process household waste henceforward to final disposal site. Those habit leads to unprocessing household waste in Kalisegoro and more contaminate the environment. Household waste processing training is required to enhance the ability of Kalisegoro society, especially for housewife so that the household waste can be handled well. This program intend to enhance creativity of housewife in Kalisegoro to process plastic from household waste. Plastic waste can be processed become handycrafts and reduce rubbish buildup which leads to environmental pollution. The participant of this program is household who incorporated in Dorang Dawis Anggrek 17 business unit in Kalisegoro Gunungpati Semarang.

AbstrakKajian ini telah dijalankan untuk menentukan potensi plastik banner yang dibuang dari industri pengiklanan di Kemaman, Terengganu. Tiga jenis industri pengiklanan yang terlibat dalam kajian ini termasuklah industri iklan yang diwakili oleh Orchid Design and Printing Sdn. Bhd; Industri kitar semula plastik yang diwakili oleh RD Paper Sdn. Bhd dan badan berkanun, Majlis Perbandaharaan Kemaman (MPK). Pelupusan dan pembakaran terbuka terhadap bahan buangan plastik banner yang diamalkan oleh kebanyakan industri pengiklanan menyumbang kepada pembaziran dan pencemaran alam sekitar. Dalam usaha untukmengawal ini, kajian terperinci mengenai potensi menggunakan plastik banner sebagai alternatif untuk menghasilkan produk kreatif telah dilakukan. Kajian terhadap plastik banner menumpukan kepada dua isu. Pertama adalah kajian mengenai jenis plastik banner. Ini melibatkan dua proses: satu, mengasingkanwarna dan jenis plastik banner; dan kedua, mengukur panjang, lebar dan berat plastik banner. Kajian kedua memberi tumpuan kepada proses penghasilan produk melalui pembakaran. Penemuan daripada kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa kaedah menggunakan bahan buangan plastik banner sebagai alternatifuntuk menghasilkan produk kreatif adalah satu pendekatan yang berdaya maju bagi memberi nilai kepada hasil sisa buangan serta mencegah pencemaran alam sekitar. Oleh itu, penghasilan produk kreatif hasil daripada kajian ini boleh a mencegah pencemaran alam sekitar. Oleh itu, penghasilan produk kreatif hasil daripada kajian ini boleh memberikan pendapatan dan juga mempelbagaikan produk plastik banner yang sedia ada di pasaran komersial.   AbstractThe study was conducted to determine the potential of discarded plastic banner of the advertising industry in Kemman, Terengganu. Three types of advertising industry involved in this study. This includes advertising industry, represented by Orchid Design and Printing Sdn. Bhd; plastic recycling industry represented by RD Paper Sdn. Bhd and statutory bodies of the Treasury Council Kemaman (MPK). Disposal and public burning of plastic waste practiced by most banner advertising industry contributes to wastage and environmental pollution. In the effort to control this, a detailed study on the potential use of plastic banner as an alternative in producing creative products have been conducted. The study of plastic banner focuses on two issues. First is the study of the types of plastic banner. This involves two processes: one is to separate the color and type of plastic banner; and second is to measure the length, width and weight of plastic banner. The second study focuses on the process of production through combustion. This study finds that the using of the waste from plastic banner as an alternative to produce creative products is a viable approach for adding values to the waste and preventing environmental pollution. Therefore, the production of creative products resulting from this research can provide income and also diversify the plastic banner products existing in the commercial markets.

The problem of losses of oil products from leaks during their storage and transportation at oil supply facilities is considered. The influence of oil product leaks on the environmental situation around oil depots and gas stations is shown. A detailed overview of existing methods and tools for detecting leaks of petroleum products from storage facilities is presented. The evaluation of their effectiveness. Two methods for detecting oil leaks and devices based on them are proposed. The first device monitors the movement of liquid in the tank, the second-detects petroleum products in wastewater. The problem of recovery of petroleum vapors and environmental pollution from the release of vapors of light fractions into the atmosphere is also considered. An overview of existing methods and means of recovery of petroleum vapors is presented. Two methods and devices for capturing oil vapors and returning them to the reservoir are proposed, based on different principles: vapor absorption in the cooled oil product and vapor recovery on the principle of the Carnot cycle. It is shown that these devices can provide effective detection of oil leaks and recovery of their vapors, as well as improve the effectiveness of environmental protection at modern gas stations and tank farms.

Basically, nature has the ability to perform the restoration of environmental damage caused by increased human activity, but because of the limited carrying capacity, then the environment has decreased the quality from year to year. In saving the environment, technology plays a role in reducing the risk of pollution, increased efi siensi process, and creating processes and environmentall friendly products, monitoring and prediction of environment quality, environmental pollution control, restoration and environmental improvement. Waste Technology (end of pipe technology) are widely used to cope with environmental pollution, both for liquid waste, solid and air. Waste processing technology developed for the waste can be in accordance with quality standards thathave been established, while monitoring technology has been developed either manually or automatically. Introduction. The processes of globalization and social transformation have made environmen-tal conservation a priority, and therefore require some action to be taken to address environ-mental issues and the rational use of natural resources. The solution of the existing problems depends to a great extent on the functioning efficiency of the financial security system established in the country, the established composition and the volume of financing sources and certain directions of their use, which necessitates their scientific-based analysis. The purpose of the study is to investigate the state of financing environmental measures in Ukraine, to study the directions, dynamics and structure of costs for environmental protection, identifying features of financing environmental protection. Results. The comprehensive analysis of the dynamics of costs for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources is carried out. The main components of environmental expenditures are identified. Costs for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources by financing sources have been structured. The dynamics and structure of capital investments by nature conservation measures are investigated. The dynamics of the share of expenditures for environmental protection and rational use of natural resources in the GDP of Ukraine, as well as the share of capital investments (environmental) in the structure of capital investments of Ukraine are analyzed. The features of the current state of financing environmental protection and rational use of natural resources are highlighted. Conclusions. The results of the research made it possible to identify the main problems in the field of financial support for environmental protection and to outline the ways of their solution. The necessity of investments mobilization into nature protection activity is proved through development of appropriate means of economic stimulation and their legislative fixing, which will allow to solve the problem of financial support of environmental protection by diversification of financing sources. The purpose of the article. The article is devoted to the coverage of the main milestones in the life and work of a prominent zoologist, breeder, ecologist, conservationist, military and political figure, science fiction writer – Boris Konstantinovich Fortunatov (1886–1940?).Results and scientific novelty of the research. On the basis of archival and literary sources, the years of B. Fortunatov's studies and his participation in the Socialist-Revolutionary Party (SR) are considered. His role in the revolutionary events of 1905 and 1917, the First World War and the Civil War is analyzed. It is noted that the first scientific publication of the 25-year-old Fortunatov was devoted to the synthesis of bread. It was found that in 1920, after arriving at the former estate of F. Falz-Fein – Askania-Nova – there were radical changes in the life of B. Fortunatov. From that time until the last days of his life he dealt with environmental protection issues. Thanks to his enthusiasm and persistence that the Askania-Nova Reserve was saved from looting and ruin. Heading first the scientific part of the reserve, and then as the head of the zoo B. Fortunatov conducted research on the revival of the bison population and aurochs; fought robbers; studied the origin of Askanian pheasants; saved the Askanian steppes from ruin. It is noted that in different years he headed the following reserves: Askania-Nova, Crimean, Primorsky, Caucasian; worked at the Moscow Zoo, and even designed a new zoo in this city. It is stated that at the territory of the special settlement he continued his scientific activities. Heading a research station for animal husbandry, the scientist observed the fauna and flora of Saryrki; explored the desert steppes of Central Kazakhstan; organized sheep farms in order to breed fat-tailed sheep; engaged in the improvement of cattle breeds; developed a method and program for new breeds of cattle; justified the need to create the Karkalinsky State Nature Park.Key words: Fortunatov, environmental protection, Askania-Nova, reserves, animal hybridization. Мета роботи. Стаття присвячена висвітленню основних віх життя та діяльності видатного вченого-зоолога, селекціонера, еколога, захисника природи, військового і політичного діяча, письменника-фантаста – Бориса Костянтиновича Фортунатова (1886 – 1940?). Результати та наукова новизна дослідження. На основі архівних та літературних джерел розглянуто роки навчання Б. Фортунатова та його участі партії соціалістів-революціонерів. Показано його роль в революційних подіях 1905 та 1917 рр., Першій світовій та Громадянській війнах. Звернено увагу, що першу наукову публікацію 25-річний Фортунатов присвятив синтезу хліба. З’ясовано, що з 1920 р., після прибуття до колишнього маєтку Ф. Фальц-Фейна – Асканії-Нова – відбулися кардинальні зміни у житті Б. Фортунатова. З цього часу і до останніх днів його життя було пов’язане з охороною природи. Саме завдяки ентузіазму та наполегливості вченого заповідник Асканія-Нова було врятовано від пограбувань та розорення. Очолюючи спочатку наукову частину заповідника, а потім будучи завідувачем зоопарку Б. Фортунатов проводив дослідження з відродження популяції зубра та тура; боровся з браконьєрами; вивчав походження асканійських фазанів; добивався збереження асканійських степів від розорення. Зазначено, що у різні роки він очолював заповідники: Асканія-Нова, Кримський, Приморські, Кавказький; працював у Московському зоопарку, і, навіть, займався проектуванням нового зоопарку у цьому місті. Вказано, що перебуваючи на спецпоселенні він продовжив займатися науковою діяльністю. Очолюючи науково-дослідну станцію з тваринництва вчений проводив спостереження за фауною і флорою Сариркі; досліджував пустельні степи Центрального Казахстану; організував вівчарні з метою виведення курдючної вівці; займався покращенням порід великої рогатої худоби; розробив методику та програму створення нових порід великої рогатої худоби; обґрунтував необхідність створення Каркалінського державного парку природи. The paper considers the current state of the mineral raw material base and the construction material market of the Rostov Region. The effect of various factors on the strain-stress behavior of local limestones has been investigated. The scientific and technical literary sources devoted to the processes of rock failure under various loads have been analyzed. The experimental studies have shown that the tested samples of limestone with a high content of cuboidal grains have characteristics comparable to those of the crushed granite stone. It has been concluded that the use of the Rostov Region limestones in the construction industry is competitive and feasible, provided the proper implementation of the engineering measures proposed in their production.
