Basically, nature has the ability to perform the restoration of environmental damage caused by increased human activity, but because of the limited carrying capacity, then the environment has decreased the quality from year to year. In saving the environment, technology plays a role in reducing the risk of pollution, increased efi siensi process, and creating processes and environmentall friendly products, monitoring and prediction of environment quality, environmental pollution control, restoration and environmental improvement. Waste Technology (end of pipe technology) are widely used to cope with environmental pollution, both for liquid waste, solid and air. Waste processing technology developed for the waste can be in accordance with quality standards thathave been established, while monitoring technology has been developed either manually or automatically. For recovery and improvement of technology has been developed remedies and restoration that rely on bacteria in nature. Keywords: end of pipe technology, reuse, recycle, reduce (3R), carrying capacity, and environment pollution

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that causes adverse change. One of the greatest problem that the world is facing today is that of environment pollution, increasing with every passing year and causing grave and irreparable damage to the earth. Environmental pollution consists of five basic types of pollutants namely air, water, soil, noise and light. The solution of pollution is dilution. Environmental pollution can be controlled by recycling, reusing, waste management, mitigating, preventing and by making compost. Environmental management using modern technology seems to be effective in pollution control.

This study discusses environmental monitoring which is an activity carried out directly or indirectly by the regional environmental supervisory apparatus to determine compliance with business and / or activity compliance with regulations in controlling environmental pollution. This research method uses qualitative research using the theory proposed by T. Hani Handoko (1995: 23) "Basic Oversight", namely: 1. Preliminary Supervision; 2. Supervision of Implementation; 3. Feedback Monitoring (After Implementation). Key informants were: Head of the Banyuasin District Environmental Agency, Head of Environmental Compliance and Capacity Building, Head of the Environmental Monitoring Section, Head of the Environmental Pollution Control Section, the Head of the Environmental Damage Control Section and the Company Management. The results of the research show that compliance with business and / or activities responsible for the regulation in controlling environmental pollution has problems, namely: the available budget is still limited for supervisory operational needs, the implementation of supervision in Banyuasin District seems slow and has not been implemented well apart from the lack of company compliance in reporting liquid waste management in Banyuasin Regency for that important role with stakeholders, namely the government, the community, and companies that produce waste is needed. Conducted joint supervision will have a very effective impact in overseeing industrial waste that will result in environmental pollution, while the company itself should periodically and continuously check the industrial waste produced

Tofu Liquid Waste Processing Into Nata De Soya Through the Fermentation Process. Tofu factories are small (household) industries that are mostly done by the community and generally rarely have sewage treatment plants. Due to limited funds, these tofu factories often dispose of their waste directly into the river. This tofu waste will cause an unpleasant aroma that will disturb the aesthetics and life of the surrounding ecosystem. One of the ways to reduce environmental pollution is to process tofu liquid waste into a more useful product, namely Nata de Soya. The process of making Nata de Soya can be done through fermentation. As much as one liter of tofu liquid waste was deposited and filtered following by making a growing medium for Acetobacter xylinum bacteria and was then fermented for 14 days. The product was then washed and soaked for 3 days with daily replacement of water immersion. The fermentation process of tofu wastewater produced Nata de soya as a white gel and having a thickness of 2 mm, a water content of 79.31%, and a density of 0.85. The treatment presented in this paper which successfully converted tofu wastewater into Nata de Soya is one way to reduce environmental pollution and to increase the economic value.

Ecological deterioration and environmental damage brought by high-speed economic growth in China caused high attention. Environmental administrative penalty is a powerful way for the government to realize environmental pollution control. When a firm is subjected to environmental administrative penalties, how the penalty affects operating cash flows is an important issue of concern to academic and practical circles. This paper examined the relationship between the environmental administrative penalty and the firm’s operating cash flow by using the ordinary least square method. It is found that environmental administrative penalty significantly decreases the firm’s operating cash flow in the following year. To increase the robustness of the result, the potential endogenous problems have been eliminated by using the two-stage least squares method. We found that the negative effect still exists. The finding increases the understanding of how environmental administrative penalties affect the firm operation and have practical enlightenments to corporate environmental management and environmental pollution control.

The Malacca Strait, which has always been the world's most strategic trade route, has become the most frequently traversed by international ships. The potential for environmental pollution in the Malacca Strait is also enormous, especially pollution from ship waste in the form of liquid waste (water ballasts and hazardous toxic materials, or B3 liquid waste) and garbage from disposal during illegal ship washing. Bintan Island, which located close to the Malacca Strait, is one of the islands affected by foreign ship dumping, which avoids sanctions throughout Indonesia, such as Malaysia and Singapore, which require every incoming vessel to be clean of waste. Regulations made by the Singapore government regarding the inspection of the ships of each ship resulted in the act of washing boats in the Malacca Strait. Cleaning and washing tanks and vessels in inappropriate areas can result in environmental pollution caused by wastewater in the form of water, oil, and plastic waste that is very damaging to the environment. The establishment of an exclusive zone for ships carrying out ship cleaning activities as well as anchored anchor locations can reduce environmental damage in the Malacca Strait. This study uses a qualitative method using an ecological approach to see how ecological problems caused by ships cause cross-border issues that threaten ecosystems in the Malacca Strait, specifically the Bintan Islands conservation area. The data used in the form of qualitative data collected through document studies, interviews, document analysis, focused discussions, and observations made.

Abstract In 2015, the All-China Environment Federation v Dezhou Jinghua Group Zhenhua Corporation Limited case was the first civil environmental public interest litigation (CEPIL) against air pollution in China. Constituting a milestone in the field of air pollution control in China, this case (i) confirms the eligibility of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) to file civil public interest litigations; (ii) discusses remedies for the ecological destruction caused by air pollution; (iii) assesses the ecological and environmental damage using the ‘virtual restoration cost’ method; and (iv) uses public apology as an innovative way for Zhenhua to assume liability. By applying and interpreting several important rules under the Environmental Protection Law of China (EPLC) for the first time, this case sets an example for future CEPILs against air pollution in China.
