Dental care for children at the moment is an important task. A high-quality dental care is impossible without the use of safe and effective anesthesia. One of the main local anesthetics of high-performance dental services is the amide anesthetic articaine. This article discusses two clinical cases using in clinical practice of pediatric dentistry of articaine-containing drug Ultracaine®.

In recent years, additive manufacturing has gained importance in a wide range of research applications such as medicine, biotechnology, engineering, etc. It has become one of the most innovative and high-performance manufacturing technologies of the moment. This review aims to show and discuss the characteristics of different existing additive manufacturing technologies for the construction of micromixers, which are devices used to mix two or more fluids at microscale. The present manuscript discusses all the choices to be made throughout the printing life cycle of a micromixer in order to achieve a high-quality microdevice. Resolution, precision, materials, and price, amongst other relevant characteristics, are discussed and reviewed in detail for each printing technology. Key information, suggestions, and future prospects are provided for manufacturing of micromixing machines based on the results from this review.

The dental environment can be considered a stressor for children, and can trigger unwanted behaviors. Pediatric Dentistry is a specialty that requires professionals to know preventive measures and restorative skills to perform dental treatment in children or adolescents. In addition, it is especially important that the professional is concerned with the child’s feelings and reactions, allowing the pediatric dentist to identify situations that may generate stress for the patient during the care, and manage the presented behaviors. Recent studies have measured children’s reactions and feelings during dental treatments using projective techniques. Given the importance of drawing to identify children’s emotions, the objective of this study was to search the literature about the use of drawings as a projective technique in Pediatric Dentistry. Therefore, projective techniques, with an emphasis on drawing, have proved to be an effective instrument to be used in clinical practice to better understand the reactions presented by children during dental care and their relationship with dentists. Thus, avoiding unexpected situations in the office and allowing greater chances of obtaining a positive return from the patient.

Objective:The purpose of this study was to build a tool of evaluation of the strategies the children use during a dental care.Method:30 children (from 6 to 15 years old), 15 parents and 10 dentists participated in semi-directive conversations and in observations. Results:An analysis of thematic contents of the conversations and the observations allowed to kick away five categories of strategies and to classify them according to the moment of the meeting. Conclusion and perspectives:Questionnaires (behaviour, relation, cognition, emotion and somatic) were built. Once validated, these tools should allow to assess the strategies used by the child during a dental care and to individualize the way of treating them.

In Uruguay, Lacanian ideas arrived in the 1960s, into a context of Kleinian hegemony. Adopting a discursive approach, this study researched the initial reception of these ideas and its effects on clinical practices. We gathered a corpus of discursive data from clinical cases and theoretical-doctrinal articles (from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s). In order to examine the effects of Lacanian ideas, we analysed the difference in the way of interpreting the clinical material before and after Lacan's reception. The results of this research illuminate some epistemological problems of psychoanalysis, especially the relationship between theory and clinical practice.

Introduction. The use of classical methods for diagnosing muscle fatigue of physical workers, including dynamometry and electromyography, is often limited due to the complexity of the process, the inability to use them in production, and the subjectivity of the methodology. At the same time, such a method as myotonometry does not have these disadvantages, but the main area of its use at the moment is clinical practice. The aim of study was to determine the possibility of using myotonometry to assess muscle fatigue. Materials and methods. In the course of the study, the biomechanical characteristics of muscles that differ in their depth were evaluated using the "MyotonPro" device (Myoton AS, Estonia). We determined the tone and stiffness of the biceps of the shoulder, the soleus muscle, and the muscle that straightens the back at different periods of time under the influence of maximum load on them. Results. It was found that the studied parameters of these muscles immediately after performing a series of exercises "to failure" statistically significantly increased, and after 30 minutes - again decreased, but did not reach the initial level. Conclusions. The myotonometric study showed objectivity, reliability, repeatability and proved to be one of the most promising modern methods for assessing muscle fatigue, including for solving problems in the field of occupational health.

The operating microscope is of paramount importance for the endodontist to develop his work with a higher quality and safety to achieve the success of a treatment to be developed, being able to help him in several clinical cases that may arise during the day-to-day of care, from its magnification (providing a greater amount of details that would normally go unnoticed by the human eye) and from its coaxial lighting (capable of eliminating shadows in the region to be worked), which can be used from the moment of diagnosis until its completion and complications, such as fractures of instruments that need to be removed

Two-dimensional (2D) materials driven by their unique electronic and optoelectronic properties have opened up possibilities for their various applications. The large and high-quality single crystals are essential to fabricate high-performance 2D devices for practical applications. Herein, IV-V 2D GeP single crystals with high-quality and large size of 20 × 15 × 5 mm3 were successfully grown by the Bi flux growth method. The crystalline quality of GeP was confirmed by high-resolution X-ray diffraction (HRXRD), Laue diffraction, electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and Raman spectroscopy. Additionally, intrinsic anisotropic optical properties were investigated by angle-resolved polarized Raman spectroscopy (ARPRS) and transmission spectra in detail. Furthermore, we fabricated high-performance photodetectors based on GeP, presenting a relatively large photocurrent over 3 mA. More generally, our results will significantly contribute the GeP crystal to the wide optoelectronic applications.
