The changes in digitalized society are reflected in the family and school environment. Nowadays children are characterized as “Homo zappiens” (Veen & Vrakking, 2011) or “digi” generation (Gold, 2016) because they are growing up using modern technology (mobile phone, computer, iPod etc.) since early childhood. The use of new communication technologies by children induced major changes in play, learning and parenting. They learn and play in a global and digital culture. This could lead to huge discrepancies between generations, especially between parents and children, children and educators. This is because homo zappiens are digital, whereas parents are analogous sometimes. If we add to these characteristics of society the values that dominate postmodernism (hedonism, individualism etc.) we will have a clearer picture of the challenges of education today and especially, in parenting. We need to redefine the children-parents-educators relationship through a new set of criteria. Wellbeing is an important aspect of the family environment which determinates school integration and success. This article focuses on research in parents` perception regarding the parenting in digitalized society and children`s wellbeing. The research was embedded in a constructivist-interpretivist paradigm, which employed both quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection. This study included a number of 100 participants, children and their parents. Conclusion: The parents need to develop a new mind, set on children`s wellbeing and rethinking the parenting in digitalized society. A training program for parents must be a solution for develop children`s well-being at home as a condition for school.

Background The client"s condition for heart failure requires environmental support to be able to be confident and able to carry out activities according to the directions given while the patient is undergoing treatment in the hospital, but sometimes in the client"s time period at home there will be situations where patients may experience complaints or changes in conditions that can affect his cardiovascular status. Purpose this study is conducted to identify psychological and social problems and needs of heart failure clients with a qualitative approach of observation, invite individuals or families to participate, motivate individuals to develop the potential to maintain optimal health. In addition, this study was conducted to assess the need and effectiveness of the practice of consulting for heart failure nursing in hospital outpatients Method qualitative observation approach in nursing consulting practice using steps of the nursing process consisting of an assessment of physical, psychological and social conditions and client needs, formulating problems, making plans and taking care of actions in accordance with the problems that exist by nurses in the outpatient clinic at home sick. Results Clients who came to the outpatient clinic had various  psychological and social problems. From the observations and interviews it was found that psychological and social problems were the most common causes. Psychosocial problems arise due to the client himself, life companion (husband or wife) and family members who live together. So that the family system to support clients with heart failure is not awakened. Health education and promotion to clients, life companions, and family members of heart failure clients who live at home are needed when the client controls health to maintain the client"s health support system while at home. All clients and families in this study stated that the practice of nursing consultations in hospital outpatients is very helpful for clients and families to improve the situation they face. Conclusion the practice of nursing consultations can identify the problems and needs of clients and families. Strengthening the client support system for heart failure at home is needed so that psychological and social problems can be reduced when the client is in the family environment. Nursing consultation practices at outpatient hospitals are needed to help motivate clients and families in maintaining and increasing care and support for clients who suffer from heart failure while at home. The purpose of this community service is so that parents and children can understand the prevention and control of the spread of COVID-19 in children while utilizing 4M movements (washing hands, wearing masks, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds in the Indonesian language). The method used is health education and the practice of six steps to washing your hands. The results of this activity showed that children could understand and be interested in participating in health education on "prevention and control of the spread of COVID-19 to children by using 4M movements", and children and families are willing to implement protocols in their lives. The conclusion is that by implementing the 4M protocol in the family environment, we hope it can reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia

This paper considers Family Support as a fundamental right of the child. It examines the relationship between the well-being of the child as the core concept of contemporary legal and welfare systems and family as a vital institution in society for the protection, development and ensuring the overall well-being of the child. Considering the fact that international legal standards recognise that children’s rights are best met in the family environment, the paper analyses what kind of support is being provided to families by the modern societies in the exercising of children’s rights and with what rhetoric and outcomes. Family Support is also considered as a specific, theoretically grounded and empirically tested practical approach to exercising and protecting the rights of the child. Finally, international legal standards are observed in the context of contemporary theory and practice of Family Support, while the conclusion provides the implications of such an approach.

Abstract The family environment is often overlooked in caregiver research and assessment, despite having implications for caregiver health and well-being (Zarit et al., 2019). The purpose of the present study was to examine differences on two types of family conflict (beliefs and support) among a diverse sample of caregivers. The present sample consisted of help-seeking (n = 375) and non-help-seeking (n = 415) caregivers (total n = 790). Caregivers filled out the Caregiver Reaction Scale (O’Malley & Qualls, 2017), a multidimensional assessment of the caregiver experience. Results of a 2 (adult children, spouse) x 2 (help-seeking, non-help-seeking) ANOVA indicated that help-seeking caregivers reported significantly more conflict over family beliefs than did non-help-seeking caregivers (M = 1.93 and 1.58, respectively), F(3,606) = 21.10 p < .001. Adult children caregivers reported significantly greater conflict over family beliefs (M = 1.91) than did spouse caregivers (M = 1.60), F(3,606) = 10.66, p < .001. Adult children caregivers also reported significantly greater conflict over family support (M = 1.87) than did spouse caregivers (M = 1.57), F(3,600) = 16.23, p < .001. Results highlight that certain caregiving contexts (e.g., adult children caring for a parent) potentially increase family conflict, which has implications for caregiver burden. Family conflict over beliefs is also related to help-seeking in caregivers. Findings inform appropriate assessment and intervention regarding the family environment in caregiving.

The use of several sources of information (parents and children) is scarce in family studies. Child-to-parent violence (CPV) is still considered the most hidden and stigmatized form of family violence. One objective of this study was to analyze the prevalence of child-to-parent violence and perceptions of family environment as a function of the informant (parent or child), child’s sex, and parents’ sex in a community population. The study also aimed to analyze the predictive power of family conflict and aggressive family discipline in child-to-parent violence depending on the informant. A sample of 586 adolescents (49% boys, aged between 12 and 18) and their parents (40%) participated in the study. The Family Environment Scale and the Conflict Tactics Scales were administered. Results showed good consistency between adolescent reports and parent reports for physical CPV, but adolescents perceived worse family environments than their parents. Multiple regression models revealed that aggressive family discipline and family are important risk factors for CPV. Early intervention to prevent CPV is recommended, focused on promoting family relationships and avoiding harsh discipline practices. It is important that parents are able to ask for help when they need it.

Functional constipation is an issue for both the patient and his/her family, affecting the patient’s psychoemotional balance, social relations, and their harmonious integration in the school environment. We aimed to highlight the connection between chronic constipation and encopresis and the patient’s psychosocial and family-related situation.Material and Method. 57 patients with ages spanning from 6 to 15 were assessed within the pediatric gastroenterology ward. Sociodemographic, medical, and psychological data was recorded. The collected data was processed using the SPSS 20 software.Results. The study group consisted of 57 children diagnosed with encopresis (43 boys (75.44%) and 14 girls (24.56%)),M=10.82years. It was determined that most of the children came from urban families with a poor socioeducational status. We identified a level of studies of11.23±5.56years in mothers, while fathers had an average number of9.35±4.53years of study. We also found a complex relationship between encopretic episodes and school performances (F=7.968,p=0.001, 95% Cl). Children with encopresis were found to have more anxiety/depression symptoms, greater social problems, more disruptive behavior, and poorer school performance.Conclusions. The study highlights the importance of the family environment and socioeconomic factors in manifestations of chronic constipation and encopresis.

Abstract Recent research has revealed several developmental aspects of Machiavellianism. In this study, we explored the potential relationship between perceived parentification in the family of origin and Machiavellianism in adulthood. Three hundred and ninety five Hungarian adults (282 women) completed self-report measures of parentification and Machiavellianism. Results showed that emotional parentification and children’s unacknowledged efforts to contribute to the well-being of their families were associated with Machiavellianism - but only in men. Machiavellian tactics and worldview are proposed as possible coping mechanisms with the neglectful and unpredictable family environment. Gender differences in the results are explained in terms of gender role socialization and men’s and women’s different susceptibility for different forms of psychopathology.

The article focuses on the problem of psychological support of parents whose children were born prematurely. Theoretical approaches to psychological assistance to such parents, psycho-emotional support of families are analyzed. The idea of the relationship between the harmonious development of the child and well-being in the family, a sense of security, support and security is considered. Ways of medical and psychological support, increase of psychological adaptive resource of parents are analyzed. The necessity of psychological support of parents and development of new ways of intrafamily interaction is discussed. It is analyzed that timely family care can not only effectively optimize the personal development of the child, but also help to eliminate psychological problems in adults. Along with experimental research programs, some schemes and approaches to psychological counseling of such families are also being developed. In this context, the work of a psychologist plays an extremely important role, helping parents to overcome despair and fear, promotes the creative search for new ways and opportunities for child development, the formation of new life goals in her parents. In the article notes that the psychological support of parents of premature babies may have the following features: family research, which includes studying the functioning of the family and its hidden resources, obtaining information about its social and financial situation, analysis of the primary needs of parents and children; establishing contact, motivating to cooperate; assessment of possible specific ways of psychological and pedagogical assistance; choice of directions of work depending on results of diagnostics; work of specialists aimed at psychological and pedagogical assistance to the family, to activate the social position of parents, to find their own family rehabilitation resources and opportunities.
