The aim of this study is to determine the new trends concerning curricula and instruction. The articles that are published in journals of SSCI and ERIC databases are taken into the scope of this study. The new trends regarding relevant literature are tried to be identified by analysing 3079 articles in total through the content analysis method. Also, the articles that are taken into the scope of the study are limited with the articles published between years of 2005 and 2014. The articles, throughout the study are analysed according to certain criteria like published year, method, journals that articles published, research subjects and sample population. The results of the study reveal that qualitative methods have been used more frequently in the studies carried out in 2014. Besides, it is clearly seen in the findings that articles are carried out with teachers as sampling population. Most of the articles are carried out as a case study and interview forms, questionnaires and documents are the main data collection instruments preferred to be used. Keywords: curriculum, new trends, instruction, case study

This study aims to achieve a level of training categories (Philosophy for Children) on the content of thought and research sixth-grade book published in 2013. Studies were carried out according to the method of application and descriptive data collection, in which data was collected by content analysis method. Data collection tools in the study are checklists of teaching philosophy to children program criteria, including four concepts (reasoning, conceptualization, judgment and wisdom) and sixteen sub-components. In this study, analysis basis was sentences, paragraphs and questions on the content of the studied book. Due to the limited size of the population, the ‘sample population’ was selected. The descriptive analysis methods (frequency, percentage and mean tables) were used for analyzing the findings. The results showed that the authors have paid more attention to some components of teaching philosophy to children, such as links between concepts, reality representation, cognition, inductive and deductive methods, application of criteria, difference, similarity, and decentralization and less attention to some components such as benchmarking, consistent beliefs and behaviors, true-heartedness and good deeds, faith to good words and deeds, and knowing the truth.

This research intends to describe the types of deviations contained in the collection of poems Calligrammes by Guillaume Apollinaire. The approach used is a qualitative approach with content analysis method. The data collection technique used is Miles and Huberman. The theory used as the main reference is the deviation theory according to Geoffrey N. Leech which divides the deviation into eight types, namely lexical deviation, phonological deviation, grammatical deviation which includes morphological and syntactic, graphological deviation, semantic deviation, dialectal deviation, deviation of register, and deviation of historical period. The result of data analysis from 7 poems found 5 out of 8 types of deviation which are diffused in each poem, including 24 semantic deviations, 18 graphological deviations, 4 deviations of register, 3 syntactic deviations and 2 lexical deviations. While the types of phonological deviation, morphological deviation, dialectal deviation, and deviation of historical period are not found in any of the data in this collection of poems Calligrammes.

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memahami secara komprehensif nilai-nilai humaniora dalam antologi puisi "Blues untuk Bonnie" karya WS Rendra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi pustaka, dan teknik analisis data dengan analisis isi melalui kajian struktural semiotik. Hasil penelitian yakni antologi puisi Blues untuk Bonnie karya WS Rendra mengandung nilai-nilai humaniora yang terlihat melalui tanda-tanda semiotik berupa moralitas, simpati, empati, kasih sayang, kepedulian, kerjasama, dan toleransi. Temuan penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa masih banyak jenis-jenis karya sastra yang dapat dijadikan objek kajian dengan menggunakan pendekatan-pendekatan yang berbeda untuk mengungkap nilai-nilai pendidikan terutama pendidikan karakter bagi siswa dan mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan implikasi terhadap pengajaran sastra di sekolah lanjutan sampai perguruan tinggi dalam bentuk penyusunan bahan ajar atau pengembangan model pembelajaran apresiasi sastra sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah pendidikan karater bangsa. Kata Kunci: Nilai-nilai humaniora, antologi puisi, kajian struktural semiotik Abstract The objective of this research is to understand comprehensively the humanities values in antology of poetry "Blues for Bonnie" by WS Rendra. The research used content analysis method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are used library study and data analysis techniques with content analysis through the study of structuralism semiotic. The result was the antology of poetry 'Blues for Bonnie" by WS Rendra contains humanities values seen through semiotic signs are morality, symphaty, empbaty, love, care, togetherness, and tolerant. The findings lead to the recomendation that there are still many kinds of literary works which can be the object of research by using different approaches for investigating education characters! values for students. This finding implicates to literary instruction in schools to universities in forms of teaching materials or literary appreciation instruction as one of the alternative problem solving of the nation character education. This study aims to determine the views of secondary education teachers and school administrators onpositive organizational climate. Case study which is one of the qualitative research methods was usedin the study. A total number of 15 participants (12 secondary education teachers and 3 schooladministrators) constituted the study group of the research. A semi-structured interview formdeveloped by the researchers was used as the data collection tool and the obtained data were analyzedwith content analysis method. Results are presented with themes and frequencies in the tables. Resultsare discussed with relevant literature and recommendations for further research and practices areprovided. It is expected that this study would shed light to further research and practices in terms ofcreating a positive organizational climate in secondary education institutions.Keywords: Organizational climate, secondary education teachers, school administrators, views.

<p>The aim of this study is to determine the misconceptions with the work sheets which are prepared for “Force and Motion” unit for 8th grade students. 12 worksheets, which were prepared by researchers in line with the learning outcomes of Force and Motion unit and relevant literature, were used in the research. Developed worksheets were delivered to 25 8th grade students for 3 weeks as the specified period in the curriculum. Content analysis method was employed in data analysis so as to determine misconceptions. As a result, the misconceptions of students about the concepts in Force and Motion unit were determined. “The quantity of liquid affects ascending force,” “the ascending force affecting a floating object is greater than that object’s weight” and similar misconceptions could be given as examples to the misconceptions included in the study findings. It is believed that this study will be a useful guide for teachers and researchers who aim for determining the misconceptions in force and motion subjects.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Özet</strong></p><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı; 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin “Kuvvet ve Hareket” ünitesi için hazırlanan çalışma yaprakları ile kavram yanılgılarını belirlemektir. Araştırmada Kuvvet ve Hareket ünitesinin kazanımları ve ilgili alan yazın doğrultusunda araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan 12 adet çalışma yaprağı kullanılmıştır. Geliştirilen çalışma yaprakları 25, 8. sınıf öğrencisine programda belirtilen süresinde 3 hafta boyunca uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde kavram yanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Kuvvet ve Hareket ünitesindeki kavramlarla ilgili öğrencilerdeki kavram yanılgıları belirlenmiştir. “Sıvı miktarı kaldırma kuvvetini etkiler.” “Yüzen cisimlere etki eden kaldırma kuvveti, cismin ağırlığından büyüktür.” gibi kavram yanılgıları, çalışma bulguları arasında yer alan yanılgılara örnek olarak gösterilebilir.  Bu çalışmanın kuvvet ve hareket konularındaki kavram yanılgılarını belirlemeyi hedefleyen öğretmen ve araştırmacılara yol göstereceği düşünülmektedir.</p>

Literary works are classified as works of imagination in the form of fictional or imaginary experiences. The messages to be conveyed through literary works must be creative so that they appear attractive to read and listen to, so it is necessary to have a stile from the authorship itself to make his work beautiful and attractive. There are many ways to enjoy, understand and appreciate the work of the author Tenas Effendy, one of which is by studying the Stile of Tenas Effendy's authorship in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu. This study aims to analyze and interpret Tenas Effendy's stile authorship in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu. This needs to be examined because the existence of a literary work can be seen from how the author packs his work so that he can create his own stile from the author's side. The method used in this research is content analysis method. The source of data in this research is Tunjuk Ajar Melayu Karya Tenas Effendy in 2013 which has been recorded. The data collection technique is done by applying the hermeneutic technique. After the author of the analysis, Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy has a unique and distinctive authorship stile seen from the stylistic aspect, namely the stile as a pack of thoughts, the stile as a deviation from linguistic norms and the stile as a collection of personal characteristics.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to improve our understanding of how frontline employees cope with service recovery situations and recover from them. It also takes a closer look at employee empowerment. This work represents a qualitative case study, and investigates the topic from the perspective of frontline employees. Data collection is implemented by interviewing the case hotel’s frontline personnel. A content analysis method was utilised to analyse the collected data. The findings suggest that the support of colleagues is more crucial in coping with service recovery situations and recovering from them than the support of managers. Personality traits also play a role. A theoretical scheme of the service recovery process from the perspective of frontline employees is developed from the analysis of the interviews. The findings indicate that written instructions would assist employees in service recovery situations.

The purpose of this study is to analyses the studies about science, technol-ogy, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in the world by using the content analysis method and to reveal the trend in the field. In this study, which was carried out in a survey design to analyses the articles pub-lished in the Institute for Scientific Information web of science database be-tween 2010 and May 2020 and to determine the research trends of the arti-cles published in this direction, 100 articles selected by criterion sampling method were examined. In the selection of articles, attention was paid to in-clude studies on ‘STEM Education’ with respect to perspective of emerging technologies in learning. After examining the articles, the articles were analyses by content analysis method. The articles were examined in terms of descriptive information about the identity of the article, cate-gory field, article subject area, method, sample, data collection tools, data analysis methods and discussion size. The research data were interpreted based on the percentage and frequency findings, and data were presented as tables and graphs. According to the research data, it was determined that the highest number of publications was published be-tween 2016 and 2018, mostly studies with 2 authors were conducted, and almost all of them were written in English. In addition, it was determined that the number of hypotheses was mostly 2 or 3, and STEM education as a subject area was mostly han-dled covering all its dimensions, whereas mathematics and science educa-tion took second place. It was also observed that the experimental model and the mixed method were used extensively in the studies, and the written sources were frequently used as data collection tools. It was concluded that one-third of the sample level was primary education level studies, the sam-ple selection method was purposeful sampling, and the discussion size was 3 or 4. Based on the current research analysis, the pro-file and trends of the articles were monitored and important recommendations were made in the framework contributing to scientific research.

Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is a concept of directing and controlling business corporations. This concept specifies the distribution of rights and obligations between the company’s stakeholders and the procedures for taking decisions on corporate affairs. It provides a mechanism through which the company’s objectives are set, and for attaining those objectives and monitoring performance. The main objective of this study is to explore how far the GCG principles have been implemented in listed State-Owned Enterprises (SOE). In addition, the writer compares the GCG implementation among the participant companies as well as across the industries, in which the companies are classified. The method used in the data collection is observation through the company’s annual report (content analysis). The writer uses GCG Evaluation Manual of Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP) released and endorsed in 2004 by the Ministry of SOE, as the scoring system. The results generated from this study are the company’s scores in implementing the GCG principles. In addition, the writer generates ranking among the participant companies, within the same industry and across the industries. The best company with the highest score in implementing the GCG principles among the participant companies is Aneka Tambang. In addition, the top companies with the highest scores within each industry are Bank BNI (Finance), Indofarma (Consumption Goods), Telkom (Infrastructure, Utility & Transportation), and Aneka Tambang (Mining). Moreover, the best industry with the highest average score of the players is Property & Real Estate.

This research aimed to identify the form of arguments in online media articles using argument reconstruction. The data were argumentative texts written in online media article in 2017 in www.hipwee.com, malesbanget.com, and www.idntimes.com. The data studied were 44 paragraphs consisting of 150 sentences. The approach used was qualitative approach by using content analysis method. This research used the triangulation technique (combination). The simultaneous data collection was coupled with data credibility tests with various data collection techniques and sources. Meanwhile, means of documentation and content analysis techniques were done to collect the data. The results indicate that the often used reasonings in online media articles are the generalization in 11 paragraphs and categorical syllogism in 28 paragraphs. The results of this research can be used to find out and develop ways of writing online media articles for writers and readers of online media articles.
