Al-Qur'an has an important position in Islamic studies, beyond its function as a guidance, Holy Qur'an also functioned to be a differentiator. In interpreting hermeneutics, this is a form of interpretation method which in its operation is used to derive conclusions about the meaning of a text or verse. According to Amina Wadud, there is no truly objective method of interpreting the Qur'an. Each commentator sets several subjective choices. In Islamic studies, there are several approaches offered by intellectuals to get the moral message of Islam as a religion that has a gender perspective. Here the author attempt to discuss several examples of Amina Wadud's interpretation with her hermeneutical model regarding the issue of women's rights and roles. The aim is to evaluate the extent to which the position of women in Muslim culture has truly reflected the meaning of Islam regarding women in society. In addition, the specific goal is to demonstrate the ability to adapt the worldview of the Qur'an to women's issues according to the modern context. The author argues that the ultimate purpose of the theory is to build a harmony among of Islamic teaching: law, ethics, and theology, each of which has to support one another.

Kata kunci: Hukum Islam, Hermeneutika, studi Islam AbstractAll this time, the method used by Ulama' for understanding and explaining of Al-Qur'an meaning is an interpretation method, both ofbi al-ma’tsûrand bi ar-ra’yi.In recent years, there is another method that is claimed as suitable for answering today's challenges, namely hermeneutic method, is from western tradition which hermeneutic method is applied in understanding the Bible. Some persons use only hermeneutic methods simply as a complement or companion of interpretationmethod that has been known all this time, however there are also eager to change from the interpretation method to hermeneutics. This paper tries to briefly describe both methods with an attitude, if there is something good from hermeneutic and can help us understand the Qur'an and as-Sunnah better, why not we take it. In contrast, we will not have any trouble when leaving if the hermeneutic does not have benefit. This critical and selective attitude must always be maintained. Keywords: Islamic law, Hermeneutic, Islamic studies.

Arabic learning is positively associated with the growth of Islamic studies. The better comprehension and mastery of Arabic, the faster and the greater the standard of Islamic studies would be. It can also be considered an effort to avoid any misconceptions or misinterpretations in understanding Islam's primary sources (Quran and Hadits) written in Arabic. Therefore, there is a need for more in-depth and continuous study to develop effective Arabic language learning, especially in a modern context. This paper aims to examine some of the previous discussions and research on reforming Arabic language learning to develop Islamic studies in a modern context.  Arabic learners today are different from learners in the past who focus more on routine activities by relying on written sources. In this modern era, learners have complete access and freedom to determine the direction of learning they want and need for themselves. Moreover, the main priority in improving Arabic learning quality is by optimizing modern media and technology. Therefore, Arabic language experts need to partner and synergize with competent human resources to develop modern Arabic education and learning technology to produce a better education system in Arabic Learning and support Islamic Studies' development.

Hadiths are not sacred texts as the Koran. However, the hadith is always the second reference after the Koran and occupies an important position in Islamic studies. Considering the writing of the hadith which was carried out hundreds of years after the Prophet Muhammad died, many opinions were crossed over the validity of a hadith. so that this raises some groups to doubt and deny the truth of the hadith as a source of law. This paper will focus on discussing the study of the determination of the validity of hadith as a source of law according to Imam Syafii. This paper uses the library research method with the study of text analysis, therefore the author refers directly to the books written by Imam Shafi'i and makes comparisons with books written by the Muhadits. The findings in this research that about the debate about the hadith tradition as a source of law in Islam, al-Syäfi'iy seems to hold on the opinion that the provisions contained in the hadith are in the laws of the Qur'an; With katalam, the hadith of Nabı can only add to the law in the Qur'an. He said that the existing form of command, both the Qur'an and the hadith, is based on the same source, even though it is through a different path. Keywords:Hadith, Al-Quran, Imam Shafi'i, Muhadits, Islamic Law. Hadits bukanlah teks suci sebagaimana Al-Quran. Kata Kunci:Hadits, Al-Quran, Imam Syafi`i, Muhadits, Hukum Islam

Disappearance voltages for second order reflections can be determined experimentally in a variety of ways. The more subjective methods, such as Kikuchi line disappearance and bend contour imaging, involve comparing a series of diffraction patterns or micrographs taken at intervals throughout the disappearance range and selecting that voltage which gives the strongest disappearance effect. The estimated accuracies of these methods are both to within 10 kV, or about 2-4%, of the true disappearance voltage, which is quite sufficient for using these voltages in further calculations. However, it is the necessity of determining this information by comparisons of exposed plates rather than while operating the microscope that detracts from the immediate usefulness of these methods if there is reason to perform experiments at an unknown disappearance voltage. The convergent beam technique for determining the disappearance voltage has been found to be a highly objective method when it is applicable, i.e. when reasonable crystal perfection exists and an area of uniform thickness can be found. The criterion for determining this voltage is that the central maximum disappear from the rocking curve for the second order spot.

Purpose The purpose of this article is to present a client-centered model of counseling that integrates information and personal adjustment counseling. Research has indicated that audiologists are more comfortable with counseling that is information based than with personal adjustment counseling. The prevailing model of diagnosis appears to be the medical model in which, first, a case history is taken, then testing and, finally, counseling. This model lends itself to audiologist as expert and the counseling as a separate entity based on information and advice. Further research has indicated parents retain little of the information provided in the initial examination because of their heightened emotions. This article presents a client-centered model of diagnosis in which information is provided within an emotionally safe context, enabling the parents to express their feelings and have the ability to control the flow of information. The ultimate purpose of a client-centered model is to empower parents by making them active participants in the diagnostic process rather than passive recipients. Conclusion The client-centered model has wide implications for the diagnostic process as well as for the training of students.

Abstract A long-standing criticism of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (AMA Guides) has been the inequity between the internal medicine ratings and the orthopedic ratings; in the comparison, internal medicine ratings appear inflated. A specific goal of the AMA Guides, Sixth Edition, was to diminish, where possible, those disparities. This led to the use of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health from the World Health Organization in the AMA Guides, Sixth Edition, including the addition of the burden of treatment compliance (BOTC). The BOTC originally was intended to allow rating internal medicine conditions using the types and numbers of medications as a surrogate measure of the severity of a condition when other, more traditional methods, did not exist or were insufficient. Internal medicine relies on step-wise escalation of treatment, and BOTC usefully provides an estimate of impairment based on the need to be compliant with treatment. Simplistically, the need to take more medications may indicate a greater impairment burden. BOTC is introduced in the first chapter of the AMA Guides, Sixth Edition, which clarifies that “BOTC refers to the impairment that results from adhering to a complex regimen of medications, testing, and/or procedures to achieve an objective, measurable, clinical improvement that would not occur, or potentially could be reversed, in the absence of compliance.
