<p><strong></strong>The study discusses process and implementation of knowledge sharing as the basis of learning in the innovation process that is undertaken in small and medium scale enterprises/SMEs with the contextual overview on the West Sumatran SMEs in Indonesia. As the context of the study, a specific SME in West Sumatra was taken as the case study. The study is an empirical-exploratory research where the qualitative method in terms of descriptive analysis was used as the main research approach. It also uses content analysis from the result of an in-depth interview as its main data analysis. A case study approach is used to collect data and information from the informants of the study. It can be inferred from the study that knowledge sharing has allowed an equal dissemination of information between people in the organisation of SME. Employees and owners spread information, knowledge as well as experience equally one to each other and this has led to the creation of a conducive environment in which learning processes can be smoothly undertaken. Such learning processes directly ease the innovation processes that is schemed and undertaken by the SME.</p><em><strong>Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak:</strong></em> <em>Artikel ini membahas proses dan implementasi knowledge sharing sebagai sebuah dasar bagi pembelajaran dalam proses inovasi yang dterjadi pada usaha kecil dan menengah/UKM dengan konteks pada UKM di Provinsi Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. Sebagai bagian dari konteks, maka dilakukan pemilihan UKM spesif</em><em>i</em><em>k yang dijadikan sebagai studi kasus. Studi ini merupakan penelitian empiris-exploratory yang menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam bentuk analisa deskriptif. Studi ini juga menggunakan analisa konten sebagai hasil dari in-depth interview untuk menganalisis data yang telah berhasil dikumpulkan. Pendekatan studi kasus digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dan informasi dari informan penelitian. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa knowledge sharing akan memberikan dampak berupa adanya pembagian informasi yang merata antara sesama individu didalam UKM. Para karyawan dan pemilik UKM saling menyebarkan informasi, pengetahuan serta pengalaman secara merata pada sesamanya. Situasi ini lebih lanjut menciptakan lingkungan yang kondusif dimana proses pembelajaran dapat terlaksana dengan baik.  Proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan tersebut secara langsung mempermudah proses inovasi yang direncanakan dan dilakukan oleh UKM.     </em>

In this study, it was aimed to transfer Piri Reis’s 1513 world map into an interactive and dynamic environment to reflect social participation and map literacy skills of pre-service social studies teachers, to determine the reflection of the skills from the views of the pre-service teachers and the information they have structured in the database. In this sense, the virtualized map was integrated into a geographical information system application developed by the researcher. This research, in which a qualitative research approach was adopted, was carried out as a case study. The views of the pre-service teacher’s skills and environment were evaluated with content analysis, and their reflection skills were evaluated with descriptive analysis. Eighteen students determined with the maximum diversity sampling method participated in the study, which lasted for two and a half months. It was concluded through the findings obtained from the views of pre-service teachers that social participation and map literacy skills could be reflected in various dimensions, the map could be interpreted collectively with social participation and map literacy skills, and cultural heritage could be transformed into a form of instructional technology. It was determined that the general views of pre-service teachers regarding this environment were mostly positive and the environment beneficially enabled them to discover cultural heritage, developed various skills and gave different perspectives. Still, some pre-service teachers remained passive in the environment. In the findings obtained from the database of the virtualized map, it was determined that the sub-dimensions of map literacy with social participation skill were mostly reflected in the form of understandinginterpreting symbols, finding location - coordinate, measuring distance, finding direction, reading - interpreting a map, but not reflected in using scales.

The golden age is a sensitive period that is very important for children to develop all aspects of development such as language, one of which is English so they can compete in the global world while growing up. Introducing activity must be carried out with a learning model that is and are concrete so that children can understand what is meant for example the picture and picture model learning. This study aims to describe how the contribution of the application of picture and picture model in introducing English vocabulary (number) at early childhood to increase children's motivation. The research approach used is qualitative with the type of case study (case study). Data collection using in-depth interview, observation and documentation. The result showed that the application of picture and picture model in introducing English vocabulary (number) contribute to the improvement of children's motivation such as children's attention during activity (attention), children's interest in English (interest), trust the child's self in knowing English vocabulary (confidence) and the satisfaction with fun learning (satisfaction). This research can be used as input for the teacher to create English learning that can increase children's motivation in class.

This chapter aims to illustrate the importance that learning trajectories and the building of technological capabilities have had in the internationalization and competitiveness process of the nowadays Multinational Companies from an Emerging Economy (MCEE), based on the case of CEMEX, a Mexican multinational and one of the largest cement companies of the world. The case study shows that the emergence of this company into the global markets is the result of a mix of assets and capabilities (Penrose, 1995; Bell & Pavitt, 1995; Bell, 2007) developed over a period of nearly eight decades, at whose base are productive, technological and organizational capabilities. Findings substantiate that multinationalization through mergers and acquisitions has strengthened the technological capabilities of CEMEX, as a result of the learning and knowledge sharing processes driven by the actual integration of CEMEX with the acquired companies. By establishing learning routines, CEMEX feeds an innovation process within the group.

This article study the discrepancy between theory and practice, especially the roles play by Land Office and Forestry Department in term of overlapping of power and penalties between Land Office and Forestry Department especially the forest on the state land leading to susceptibility in monitoring and enforcement system. The whole empirical works took place in the Central Region of Peninsular Malaysia namely as Negeri Sembilan. The total area of permanent reserved forest in that state is 155,531 hectares including the Permanent Reserved Forest Johol which was selected as the case study in this research. An exploratory research design was adopted in this research. Therefore, in-depth interviews have been done with officers from the Land Office and Forestry Department regarding their role and powers in monitoring and enforcement system to combat forest offences in Permanent Reserved Forest Johol. While data collected was analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. Content analysis was used to identify the similarities and dissimilarities of acts that empower Land Office and Forestry Department to taking action against forest offences. Theoretically, there are overlapping powers occurs between Land Office and Forestry Department identified in National Land Code 1965 and National Forestry Act 1984 in terms of arrestment of the forest offenders and seized their equipment. However, penalties imposed by both acts are very different. Practically, both authorities have divided their responsibility and power accordingly to avoid overlapping. Issues and challenges that faced by them have been found and most of them are similar. There should be an amendment to the acts in terms of the penalty imposed by both authorities. There are several researches in Myanmese nevertheless they never concern Rohingya migrant workers. Because the ASEAN is going to become AEC in 2015, they can migrate freely in the region and National Treatment. The aim of this research is to study how AEC affects to Rohingya workers in Khon Kaen Thailand by qualitative research approach, sample selection with Snowball sampling, and in-depth interview, the limitation is interview only 11 sample. This study demonstrate awareness of AEC effects and find the workers have very less knowledge about AEC, in addition every Rohingya workers express that there is no effect from ASEAN community because they do not have Myanmese identity card and never be Myanmar nationality. Every migrant would not like to go back to Myanmar because there is not confident that the Myanmese government recognizes Rohingya as the Myanmese. In contrast, they hope the government’s merciful operations to provide citizenship as right as the one of Myanmese.

Authentic Leadership in Contemporary Slovenian Business Environment: Explanatory Case Study of HERMES SoftLabThe paper explores the authentic leadership in learning organization in Slovenian business environment. The purpose of the paper is to present relationship between authentic leadership and learning organization. Main research thesis is focused on characteristics of authentic leadership in company HERMES SoftLab. The main thesis of this paper is that authentic leadership in learning organization enables the growth of leaders in organizational surroundings through a constant dedication to authenticity and organizational learning that will be explored through the qualitative research method of case study research approach. Key research finding is that authentic leaders can be identified in company HERMES SoftLab and that there is a mutual influence between learning organization and authentic leadership. Therefore, the main research finding is that the learning organization leverages the authentic leadership, which in turn leverages the learning organization.

This study attempts to investigate the use of peer tutoring and to assest the effectiveness of peer tutoring in accounting learning, State Polytechnic of Malang. A descriptive research approach with case study was employed in this research. The information gathered by documentation, observation and in depth interview. The accounting learning was done by the author with apllying same age peer tutoring (co-peer). The findings revealed that peer tutoring is a very effective learning strategy both to tutors and tutees. Tutors feels happy, proud, and satisfied when the lecturers trust them to give the material in front of their friends. Whereas the tutees feel more comfortable because the learning activities has become more relaxed and not strained, the students have been brave to ask more question. Peer tutoring has improve the academic achievement, communication skill, responsibilities, patience, empathy, sympathy, and strengthening the social skills both to tutors and tutees. As we know that these all skills were very needed in the world life. The author suggest that it should be utilized within the premises of the educational institutions. It is a must for polytechnic students to be equipped with such ability given that it has a great impact towards their future career development. The graduates are believed to be able to perform productively in the society with this ability, notwithstanding what contexts they are in. This is to assure that they would be able to function in line with the complex world of today.

On the last Accounting National Symposium at Banjarmasin, a quantitative accounting research approach was still dominating in the paper presentation, eventhough this event had been conducted more than a decade. So, why the quantitative approach or positive paradigm is still strong enough in its position and having a good track of development during the penetration of a qualitative approach? By understanding the positivist accounting researcher’s thought about qualitative approach, a gap could be seen and then used for developing both approaches simultaneously. This research is on the area of an interpretive paradigm and using case study method. By using in-depth interview, data are collected from informan at Gadjah Mada University, Brawijaya University, and Airlangga University. The results, all informan accept the qualitative approach or a multiparadigm accounting research with a certain note, especially regarding to the research stages. Besides, they think about the need for a dialogue between quantitative and qualitative researchers.

Abstract Organizations in today’s environment are relied on teams and their learning as key determinants for survival and success. The aim of this paper is to identify the key team learning processes and activities in organizations and to examine how the eventual appearance and growth of the problems in team impact on those processes and activities. Research was conducted in nine teams with 79 members in one public service organization located in Belgrade, Serbia, using interview and questionnaire techniques. Descriptive analysis, linear regression and Pearson correlation coefficient were used for processing and interpreting collected data. The results show that undefined roles of team members, a lack of trust among them, inadequate rewards, inadequate leadership and team management, will cause a moderate decrease in team learning processes and activities. The value of this research is that growing reliance on teamwork in organizations put pressure on leaders and managers to understand the factors that enable and stimulate team learning processes and activities, but also to identify and overcome all problems that may arise in teams and slow down the learning in teams as one of the most important processes.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Defensive Marketing Strategy carried out by the MSME Warkop Angkringan "Giras" in Mojokerto Regency, in order to be able to compete and keep its business sustainable in the COVID-19 pandemic conditions and obtain optimal profits. This research is an exploratory research where the approach used is a qualitative approach. Qualitative researchers seek to understand life experiences in context and the meanings associated with those experiences by using Focus Group Discussions. The sample amounted to 20 people, who were taken based on certain criteria. Data collection techniques by conducting open ended interviews in the hope of obtaining more complete information from the respondent. Data analysis used descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the Defensive Marketing Strategy in the MSME of warkop angkringan "Giras" Free wifi with a Mental Model is a Competitor Orientation strategy which includes symbols, prices, product differentiation and value promotion,, Customer Orientation Strategy includes superior customer service, innovative product features, and focus in a narrow market segment and a Market Drive Orientation Strategy consisting of Digital Marketing, Healthcare Procedures, crowding services, and Hours of Operation..
