Trust as a system-forming factor of social relations during crisis situations is tested for strength. This was most pronounced when studying the state of trust in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, which has engulfed almost the entire planet. The article examines the situation with trust, using the example of a regional community. The source of empirical data was the results of several surveys of the population of the Vologda Oblast conducted by researchers of the VolRC RAS for the period from2016 to 2020. in the course of the implementation of scientific projects on grants from the RFBR The data obtained on the basis of comparable methods in the period before the pandemic and at the end of its second wave are analyzed. The purpose of the article is to carry out a comparative analysis of the available statistical data and to identify the changes that have occurred in the level and structure of trust in the region’s population. The paper concludes that in the context of a pandemic, the existing level of generalized trust, the existing structure and its radius have generally remained. At the same time, certain changes were revealed in the sphere of abstract trust or, to use the terminology of E. Giddens, trust in “anonymous others”. The changes concerned primarily the priorities in choosing the addressees of trust. The observed changes reflected the pain points of society during the crisis. Trust in doctors and teachers, expert scientists has fallen. The sharp decline in the level of trust in them can be seen as a kind of expression of protest against the difficult situation in education and health care, which has developed as a result of the pandemic and self-isolation. Trust in government institutions remains stable, which to a certain extent symbolize the stability of social structures and take responsibility in the current situation.

The article analyzes statistical data on the management of active and passive operations in commercial banks, forms the theoretical views of foreign and domestic economists.Scientific novelty of the research:1. One of the main expected results of the transformation of commercial banks with the support of international financial institutions is based on the reduction of the state's share in a number of commercial banks, the introduction of international experience in attracting strategic investors with sufficient experience, knowledge and reputation;2. When managing the assets and liabilities of the bank, first of all, it is necessary to analyze the factors of attracting the bank's resources, the stability of the resources of commercial banks has proven that it allows risk-free management of active operations

In order to assess the susceptibility of the quantum key distribution (QKD) systems to the hacking attack including simultaneous and frequent system self-decalibrations, we analyze the stability of the QKD transmission organized in two commercially available systems. The first one employs non-entangled photons as flying qubits in the dark quantum channel for communication whereas the second one utilizes the entangled photon pairs to secretly share the cryptographic key. Applying standard methods of the statistical data analysis to the characteristic indicators of the quality of the QKD communication (the raw key exchange rate [RKER] and the quantum bit error rate [QBER]), we have estimated the pace of the self-decalibration of both systems and the repeatability rate in the case of controlled worsening of the dark channel quality.

AbstractIn this work, we study the dengue dynamics with fractal-factional Caputo–Fabrizio operator. We employ real statistical data of dengue infection cases of East Java, Indonesia, from 2018 and parameterize the dengue model. The estimated basic reduction number for this dataset is $\mathcal{R}_{0}\approx2.2020$ R 0 ≈ 2.2020 . We briefly show the stability results of the model for the case when the basic reproduction number is $\mathcal{R}_{0} <1$ R 0 < 1 . We apply the fractal-fractional operator in the framework of Caputo–Fabrizio to the model and present its numerical solution by using a novel approach. The parameter values estimated for the model are used to compare with fractal-fractional operator, and we suggest that the fractal-fractional operator provides the best fitting for real cases of dengue infection when varying the values of both operators’ orders. We suggest some more graphical illustration for the model variables with various orders of fractal and fractional.

The study deals with the issue of whether the norms of criminal law make a distinction between male and female sex with regard to the perpetrator of the criminal offence as well as with regard to the victim of the criminal offence and also the issue of whether male or female sex have any role in the criminal law. It is with this objective in mind that the author analyzed the provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Croatia and statistical data on total crime in the Republic of Croatia and the relation between male and female perpetrators of criminal offences. The statistical data reveal that men commit a far greater number of offences than women. Apart from this, women and men also differ according to the type of the criminal offence they tend to commit. Women as perpetrators of criminal offences that involve the element of violence are very rare. At the same time, women are very often victims of violent offences perpetrated by men, which leads us to the term of gender-based violence. Although significant steps forward have been made at the normative level in the Republic of Croatia in defining and sanctioning of genderbased violence, gender stereotypes can still be observed in practice when sexual crimes are in question so that we can witness domestic violence on a daily basis. All of this leads to the conclusion that it is necessary to make further efforts in order to remove all obstacles that prevent changes in social relations and ensure equality between women and men, not only de jure but also de facto.

This article revisits materialist second-wave feminist debates about domestic labour in the context of digitalisation. Using a differentiated typology of labour, it looks at how the tasks involved in housework have undergone dramatic changes through commodification, decommodification and recommodification without fundamentally altering the gender division of labour in social reproduction, drawing on recent research on the use of online platforms to deliver social reproductive labour via the market in a context in which reproductive labour sits at the centre of an intense time squeeze. It reflects on the implications of the commodification of domestic labour for feminist strategy. The author points to the inadequacy in this context of traditional feminist strategies—for the socialisation of domestic labour through public services, wages for housework or labour-saving through technological solutions—concluding that new strategies are needed that address the underlying social relations that perpetuate unequal divisions of labour in contemporary capitalism.

This article starts with a consideration of the different reasons academics might be interested in the detailed analysis of who interacts with whom on a social media platform such as Facebook. We then describe our analysis of the levels of interaction between Facebook friends for two populations, one based in South England and the other in South India. We first used statistical data analysis to identify those who interacted most with our informants. We then exploited our ethnographic grounding to elucidate who exactly these interactions were with upon returning to our informants. This allows us to characterize the nature of interactivity in the two sites, for example, the role of kinship as against friendship. In general, we found that the explanation for interactivity in the English fieldsite tended to depend on identifying specific genres of communication for particular social relations, while the Indian fieldsite reflected strong social parameters such as gender and class. We also comment on a few of the many general issues that arise, including the relationship between online and offline sociality, the importance of both reciprocity and asymmetry in interactivity, and the question of whether people are aware of who interacts most with them on their Facebook profiles.

There are differences in each countrys design code for concrete elastic modulus that cause uncertainty in stability analysis of critical buckling load column. This paper investigates the impact of uncertainty on concrete elastic modulus for designing of critical buckling load of building column. The statistical data on materials and applied load being collected in Thailand are used together with an investigation on the uncertainty of the concrete elastic modulus in the design code from 8 countries. Finally the Monte Carlo simulation is used to find out the stability index in term of reliability index. The results show that the uncertainty of the concrete elastic modulus plays an important role in stability analysis and should be considered in the design.

Abstract This paper proposes a locomotion approach of leg-wheel robot utilizing passive wheel attached to the foot of bipedal robot. The key feature of this approach is bipedal mobility without swing leg. This mobility contributes the stability based on expansion of support polygon during locomotion, the robustness for obstacles and stopping to prevent fall, and the adaptability by prevention of body swing sideways. To achieve these, we propose the stability margin maximization to optimize center of gravity projection for support polygon and the fall prevention functions for real environment that is a difficult situation to prevent unexpected fall by the only planning. Finally, we apply the proposed methods to leg-wheel phases through locomotion and verify the contribution by experiments using real bipedal robot.

The article offers the statistical methodology for assessment of relationship between economic growth and material welfare of the Ukrainian regions based on the method of complex statistical coefficients by using statistical data for 2016. The theoretical and applied aspects of opportunities of studied method for comprehensive rating assessment of Ukrainian regions through standardizing the values of examined indexes in economic and material welfare spheres are considered. Definition of the term “material welfare of a population” is given in the article. Material welfare of a population is determined in time quantitative-qualitative characteristic of standard of living of population of a country as summarized result of the state policy in social field and economic activity of a population in production and consumption fields. Structured and logical schema of mutual influence between the spheres of economics and material welfare of a population is suggested by the author. It was found that the standard of living of a population directly generates material welfare that in turn to be a background for a quality of life. At the same time such distribution of macroeconomic definitions is a new approach enable for statistical studying of relationship between the state of economy and the sphere of material welfare of Ukrainian population. Rating assessment is calculated by available statistical data obtained from the results of state statistical observation performance. In this regard formation of the system of 119 indicators that comprehensively describes the levels of development of material welfare sphere and county’s economy has been conducted. The final results of the assessment are studied in comparison with some other well-known rating assessments in these spheres. Тhe article proclaims that statistical studying of correlation between indexes of economic sphere and indexes in the sphere of material welfare is necessary. For that purpose, it has been developed the way of assessment the degree of relationship of studied spheres based on complex weighted coefficient of variances according to the formula proposed by the author. From the results of calculations of that coefficient and according to the criteria for assessing the stability of a correlation it is justified that the gap between the levels of economic development and material welfare of a population of Ukrainian regions should be reduced. Such approach is considered to determine exact tasks for public administration policy to increase economic growth in relationship with material welfare of a population. It can be an effective tool for managing the state of affairs, planning in performance management process and improving the value of relationship between the levels of development in the spheres under review.
