The aim of this article is to know the attitude of university students towards e-learning having age and gender as sociodemographic variables. It describes important aspects about virtual education, connectivism, e-learning model and factors about attitude towards e-learning, b-learning and its advantages. In this basic, descriptive level study, the scale of attitudes towards e-learning proposed by Mehra and Omidian (2012) consisting of 92 items (distributed on a dichotomous yes/no scale) was used, with a reliability, through Kr-20, of 0.995. The sample comprised a total of 330 medical students from a private university from the first to the fifth cycle of the degree. It was demonstrated that e-learning is a tool at the service of the teaching-learning processes that seeks interaction between the teacher and the student, developing cognitive, collaborative and self-regulatory skills in the university student. The conclusions of the research were that, regarding the sex of the students, 38.5% of the women perceived an unfavorable level and 34.2% of the men, a favorable level of attitude towards e-learning. As for the intervening variable age, 23% of the students fewer than 21 years of age perceived an unfavorable level of attitude towards e-learning. In the ease of use dimension, 44.4% of the students perceived an unfavorable level. Finally, 40.3% perceived an unfavorable level; 34.8% perceived a fair level and 24.8% a favorable level of attitude towards e-learning.

Ninety-two university students (55 women; 37 men) participated in a study of the relationship between authoritarian and socially restrictive attitudes toward mental patients and the variables of trait -anxiety, self-esteem, locus of control, age, and gender. Results of multivariate analyses showed that individuals who score high in authoritarianism tend to be young, male, and believers in chance and fate (external locus of control). A similar pattern was found for social restrictiveness.

Languages tend to be modified to accommodate for the speakers needs, such as, discussing or dealing with certain topics and domains. An example, university students, in Jordan, modify their own language, being colloquial Arabic, with terms and expressions from the English language in order to interact and adapt to everyday college life. Due to this, college students have fabricated new hybrid terms and expressions; a mixture of English and colloquial Arabic words merged together to make one. This study attempts to explain the attitudes towards these terms and expressions and to what extent they are used amongst the students at Yarmouk University, during Arabic discourse. This was achieved by means of questionnaires and interview. The findings revealed that these colloquial hybrid terms and expressions are highly used by all college students. Results also show that the use of colloquial hybrid terms and expressions is tightly related to social factors, like, age and gender. Thus, these terms and expressions are used mostly by students aged between 18 and 20 years of age. Moreover, these terms and expressions are used more by females than males.

The article is devoted to the empirical study of one of the dimensions of the problem of the relationship between intelligence and emotional evaluation of personality. Theaimof this article is to investigate the age and gender characteristics of verbal, mathematical, spatial intelligence in adolescence and youths, as well as to establish a correlation with the characteristics of emotional evaluation of commercials by high school and university students of different genders. The study focused on determining the age and gender characteristics of intelligence indices of high school students aged 15–17 (N = 47) and university students aged 19–21 (N = 49); and determining the relationship between the verbal, mathematical, and spatial intelligence of the two samples’ respondents (adolescents and young people, boys and girls), and their emotional evaluation of the commercials. Methods. In order to solve research questions, two approaches are used: R. Amthauer’s “Test of the Structure of Intelligence” and C. Osgood’s semantic differential method. Results. In contrast to high school students, universitystudents have a higherlevel of development of verbal and mathematical intelligence. A higher level of development of verbal intelligence in girls and a higher level of development of spatial intelligence in boys were stated. Significant correlations between the emotional evaluation of commercials and gender and age characteristics of intellectual abilities have been identified. The independent variable “gender” has a higher value than the independent variable “age”, according to the mathematical and spatial intelligence of boys and girls in their advertising evaluation. Music commercials with actors, a storyline, and elements of drama, as well as videos with computer special effects, were found to be the most entertaining to the respondents. Keywords: cognitive abilities, verbal intelligence, mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence, advertising, semantic differential.

The current study aimed to reveal the cyber-bullying (bully – victim) among university students in Jordan regarding specialization, GPA, birth order, age, and gender. To achieve the objectives of the study, the Cyber-bullying (bully – victim) scale, developed by (Al-Shennawi, 2014), was applied after verifying its psychometric properties. The study sample included 400 male and female students (105 males, 295 females) selected through a stratified random sampling in the academic year of 2019/ 2020. According to the bullying, the study results indicated that the Cyber-bullying level (bully) was low. The results also showed statistically significant differences in the overall degree of Cyber-bullying (bully) due to specialization in favor of Science Faculties and gender in favor of males. The results also indicated no statistically significant differences in the overall degree of Cyber-bullying (bully) due to GPA, birth order, and age. As for Cyber-bullying (the victim), the results showed that the level of the Cyber-bullying (the victim) was low. The results also indicated statistically significant differences in the overall degree of the Cyber-bullying (the victim) attributed to birth order in favor of the last son and gender in favor of males. The results also indicated no statistically significant differences in the overall degree of the Cyber-bullying (the victim) attributed GPA, specialization, and age.
