Diltiazem HCl is a class of benzodiazepine calcium channel blockers used to treat angina pectoris, arrhythmias, and hypertension. Diltiazem HCl improves first-pass metabolism, a short half time of 3-5 hours, and bioavailability of diltiazem for oral administration of about 40%. Mucoadhesive buccal film diltiazem HCl releases the drug to the buccal mucosa, so the first pass metabolism can be avoided because of its absorption through the venous system that flows from the cheek. This study aimed to study HPMC polymers and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) polymers on swelling index, residence time, mucoadhesive strength of mucoadhesive buccal film diltiazem HCl, FTIR, and drug release. The prepared film was evaluated for swelling index, mucoadhesive strength, and mucoadhesive residence time. The optimal amount for HPMC was 35 mg, and PVP was 15 mg. The combination of polymers with this amount can produce a swelling index was 3,00, mucoadhesive strength was 41,87 gF, and mucoadhesive residence time was 330,66. FTIR test indicated that there was no interaction between active function clusters of Diltiazem HCl and other excipients. The release of the optimum formula in the 360th minute was about 97.847%, following in the zero-order release model and Higuchi.

Preeclampsia is some of the symptoms that occur in pregnancy, childbirth, and puerperal women, which are characterized by hypertension, edema, and increased proteinuria. Preeclampsia usually occurs when pregnancy enters the age of 20 weeks to 48 hours after the birth process. In that condition, there are undesirable complications during pregnancy that can make mothers more vulnerable to psychological disorders, one of which is stress. Stress experienced during pregnancy can affect the health of the baby and can also improve poor sleep quality. This study aims to analyze the relationship of stress levels with the quality of preeclampsia sleep in the Tempurejo Community Health Center in Jember. This research was conducted on 31 preeclampsia mothers using a correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach and total sampling techniques. Data collection using questionnaires stress and sleep quality. The results showed 19 (61.3)% of respondents experienced mild stress, and 26 (83.9)% experienced poor sleep quality. The results of data analysis using the spearmen statistical test obtained p-value 0.001 and r = 0.894, which means there is a relationship between stress levels and sleep quality or ha is accepted. R-value = 0.396 means that the correlation between stress levels and sleep quality in preeclampsia has a positive correlation with weak correlation strength. Nursing implications for further research can intervene in interventions that can reduce stress levels with the quality of sleep in preeclampsia mothers to reduce the factors of preeclampsia.

The use of plants as a traditional medicine in the modern era is still in high demand. One of the herbs commonly used by Indonesian is analgesic herbal medicine. The safety aspect of herbal medicine should be considered, such as heavy metal contamination. Mercury is the typical heavy metal found in polluting herbal plants. The maximum mercury level allowed in a medicinal preparation has been regulated by BPOM RI, as much as ≤ 0.5 ppm. A high level of mercury contamination causing toxic effects on the body due to protein precipitation, which inhibits enzyme activity and acts as a corrosive material. A technology that allows the detection of mercury is a chemical sensor. The strip test is optimal if the reagent 1-(2-thiazolyl azo)-2-naphthol (TAN) concentration at 1000 ppm and the sample has been confirmed at pH 7. The results of the strip test characterization showed that the response time was in the range of minutes 17 to 24, the use time of the test strips for 28 days if stored in room temperature and 29 days if stored at in refrigerator temperature, linearity with r = 0.998, Vx0 = 3.96%, p-value = 0.00000172, LOD = 0.102 ppm and LOQ = 0.306 ppm, interference value <5%, precision with RSD 6.54%, and accuracy with the value of % recovery 98.007%. T-test analysis showed p= 0.872, meaning no significant difference between the application of TAN-based test strips with the ICP-AES method.

Candida albicans is normal flora found in the oral mucosa in healthy individuals but has opportunistic pathogenic properties. The change in the oral cavity's environmental conditions can cause C. albicans to turn into a pathogen and cause oral candidiasis. Antifungal drugs that are common used for the treatment of oral candidiasis are topical nystatin preparations. Nystatin is an antifungal drug from the polyene group produced by Streptomyces noursei, which is thought to be very effective in treating diseases caused by C. albicans with a success rate 79.6 - 87.5%. The previous study showed that watermelon peel extract contains active compounds of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. The active compound is known to have antifungal activity. The study aimed to determine the ability of watermelon peel extract to inhibit the growth of C. albicans. The type of research conducted is experimental laboratories using the post-test only control group design. The observations in this study about the inhibitory power of watermelon rind extract (Citrullus lanatus) on the growth of C. albicans showed that there were inhibitory zones of watermelon skin extract on the growth of C. albicans.

Infection is one of the main causes of world health problems, especially in developing countries like Indonesia, one of which is an acute respiratory infection caused by bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. Therapeutics are used for the treatment of infections today with antibiotics. However, there are many cases of bacterial resistance to antibiotics that need to develop alternatives derived from plants. One of the plants that have antibacterial activity is the leaves of Waru Gunung (Hibiscus macrophyllus). The purpose of this study was to determine whether the ethanolic extract of H. macrophyllus leaves and their fractions have antibacterial activity against S. aureus. The method used in this antibacterial activity test is the disk diffusion method with a test concentration of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%. The results of this study indicate that all test samples have antibacterial activity except in the water fraction. The highest antibacterial activity was obtained in the ethyl acetate fraction which attracted semipolar compounds in the ethanolic extract of H. macrophyllus leaves. The antibacterial activity of the test samples in sequence from high to low includes ethyl acetate fraction, ethanolic extract, n-hexane fraction, and water fraction.
