The article is devoted to the formation and evolution of an independent language policy in the new post-Soviet sovereign states, each of which, despite similar processes, has its own specifics, due to both internal and external factors. The author focuses on the language policy in the Republic of Moldova, as stated in the language legislation, as well as on the extraordinary collisions that have arisen and are arising in dealing with language issues in this multi-ethnic republic during the 30 years of its independence. Since there are no special comprehensive studies on this topic at present, the article is an important attempt to give an analytical overview of language policy in the Republic of Moldova with relevant sociolinguistic comments on the documents forming its legal sphere, as well as taking into account the specifics of such regions as the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauz-Yeri. The article introduces the latest documents and materials on language policy of Moldova for the first time. The logic of the article structure enables to present the three key directions of language policy in the republic in a consistent and sufficiently detailed manner: language policy regarding the state language, with regard to the Romanian influence on it; policy regarding the Russian language as a popular means of inter- ethnic communication with a sufficient index of sustainability and its status; and policy regarding the languages of ethnic minorities that have long lived in the Moldovan region. The article gives a holistic view not only of the documents, but also of the motives, circumstances and processes of their adoption, as well as the consequences of each new step in the language policy promotion in the Republic of Moldova.

(Chalcidoidea, Pteromalidae). The lowest percentage of parasites was recorded in Tetrastichus sp. (Chalcidoidea, Eulophidae). Torymus flavipes Walker iscited as a new species for Moldova’s fauna. For the first time there has been infestation of this host with parasitoids: Mesopolobus fasciiventris Westw. (Pteromalidae), Ormyrus diffinis Fonsc. (Ormyridae), Eudecatoma biguttataSwed. In the light of modern processes of globalization, the importance and significance of cross-border cooperation between the border regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus in various fields: economic, political, administrative and, of course, socio-cultural, is quite obvious. Particular attention should be paid to the language policy in the border zone, in particular – to the language processes in the educational environment that form and socialize the personality of a young person, schoolchildren and student. Using the example of the implementation of language policy in a separate region, the Smolensk-Vitebsk borderland (the Smolensk region borders the Vitebsk region of the Republic of Belarus for more than 200 km), it is shown how the study of sociocultural realities in the territories of contacting languages, Russian and Belarusian, can be practically implemented in educational practice, which contributes to the formation of knowledge of the interaction of different national languages, Russian and Belarusian, among students of schools and universities of the borderlands. It has been proved that there are both processes of cultural globalization and self-identification of ethnic communities in the borderlands. It is considered how the correct language policy in the educational environment helps to solve the problem of the growing generation’s awareness of cultural dialogue in the bilingual space, makes it possible to develop national self-identification while simultaneously perceiving the value attitude towards the Russian language. The attention is focused on the role of the process of cooperation in the field of education. It has been proven that the correct implementation of the language policy strengthens the relationship between Russia and the Republic of Belarus, allows expanding contacts in the professional educational and scientific environment. It is assumed that the further introduction of the socio-cultural component into the educational practice of the borderlands will expand the possibilities of dialogue between the native languages – Russian and Belarusian.

In the present article the author presents a review of piano preludes written by Moldovan composers in the second half of 20th century which are frequently studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts of the Republic of Moldova. The author seeks to characterize their imagery, musical language means and technical difficulties that can be encountered by young performers. The works analyzed are approved in the author's teaching practice. The preludes were written by Gheorghe Neaga, Vladimir Rotaru, Semion Lungul, Constantin Rusnac, Alexei and Marian Stârcea, Vitaly Sechkin. Some information about these miniatures can be found in research by musicologists E. Kletinich, A. Miroshnikova, E. Gupalova. A detailed analysis from a performer's standpoint presented in the article is made for the first time. The piano pieces indicated above are diverse. The two preludes by A. Stârcea contrast with one another: one has a lyrical character, whereas the other one differs in its drama and flustered character. The piece by Gh. Neaga bears the traces of impressionist music. C. Rusnac’s and V. Rotaru’s creations are composed using Moldovan doina stylistics, and S. Lungul’s lyrical miniature is nationally neutral. In the two preludes by M. Stârcea, modern musical language means are used, and sharp rhythms and dissonant harmonies abound. The article also presents five preludes-pictures by Vitaly Sechkin, a Ukrainian composer who spent his last period of life in Moldova. Inspired by Moldovan vivid landscapes, they differ in their imagery and tempo. Nonetheless, each of the miniatures has its own individual appearance and peculiarities of style. All the works reviewed are distinguished by bright themes and original music language. They represent a substantial enrichment of national piano repertoire and are a striking contribution of autochthonous authors to the development of the prelude genre in the world’s piano music.

The article presents the results of a study of the specifics of Russian media speech in the Republic of Moldova on the example of news broadcasts of the RTR Moldova TV-channel. The actual modern position of the Russian language on the territory of the country within the framework of the current state policy and the situation of Russian-language broadcasting in the country were studied. Theoretical material on the specifics of Russian language in the Republic of Moldova was studied and systematized. The history of the creation and specifics of the functioning of the Russian-language TV-channel RTR Moldova were reviewed in terms of current legislation. Methods of quantitative and comparative analysis, induction, synthesis of theoretical and practical knowledge were used. The study’s empirical base includes video material of 41 news programs of “Vesti-Moldova” and “Vesti nedeli-Moldova”. Broadcasts in 2019 comprised the overall chronological period of the research, thanks to the use of a “seasonal” sample (a week of winter, spring, summer and autumn seasons), which contributed to a more objective identification of the dynamics of the presenters’ and correspondents’ media speech on RTR Moldova. The article provides a classification of errors related to grammar, spelling, stylistics of offscreen text and logic of operational information presentation. The features of using means of artistic expression were also studied. Tendencies of bilingualism in the speech of inhabitants of the Republic of Moldova are indicated, which are reflected in the television broadcast, are highlighted in the article. At the same time, it is emphasized that on-air programs in Russian are in demand by the audience, however, at the state level, the process of imposing content in Romanian on the viewer is strongly supported. In this regard, the volume of Russian-language broadcasts is decreasing every year.
