Abstract Purpose of Review Neighborhood disorder has received attention as a determinant of health in urban contexts, through pathways that include psychosocial stress, perceived safety, and physical activity. This review provides a summary of data collection methods, descriptive terms, and specific items employed to assess neighborhood disorder/order. Recent Findings The proliferation of methods and terminology employed in measuring neighborhood disorder (or neighborhood order) noted over the past two decades has made related studies increasingly difficult to compare. Following a search of peer-reviewed articles published from January 1998 to May 2018, this rapid literature review identified 18 studies that described neighborhood environments, yielding 23 broad terms related to neighborhood disorder/order, and a total of 74 distinct measurable items. Summary A majority of neighborhood disorder/order measurements were assessed using primary data collection, often relying on resident self-report or investigatory observations conducted in person or using stored images for virtual audits. Items were balanced across signs of order or disorder, and further classification was proposed based on whether items were physically observable and relatively stable over time.

As a business that relies on human mobility, the tourism sector has proven to be severely affected by the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The paralysis of tourism both nationally and globally as a result of the lockdown policy in various countries and the Large-Scale Social Restriction (LSSR) policy in Indonesia affects the operations of tourism businesses. This has raised high anxiety for Tourism Human Resources about the future of the tourism business. This research discusses culture shock, adaptation, and self-concept of Tourism Human Resources in welcoming the new normal era from a communication perspective, both related to intercultural communication, interpersonal communication, and self-concept as part of communication psychology. This research used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, field observations, and document study through WhatsApp messages in several professional association groups, webinars, and mass media. The key informants in the research were 14 people as primary data and more than 200 members of the WhatsApp group “Housekeepers Jabar” as secondary data. The results of this research showed that Tourism Human Resources suffered from a culture shock and reached its lowest point in March to mid-April, but rose slowly from late April to June. There are three very stressful aspects of their life, consisting of cultural, social, and economic aspects. Cultural and social aspects are relatively easier to overcome, but the economic aspects are the most impactful because it concerns the sustainability of their life and their families. The period of awareness in the adaptation process is a period of struggle, creativity, and action so that many of them switch professions to run online businesses. This period is still ongoing and it is not known how long it will end. Positive self-concept plays an important role in a person’s success in adapting to survive because it helps a person to be resilient, patient, courageous, and creative in finding solutions in facing challenges thus opening up greater opportunities to successfully solve the problems.

This study is based on identifying the applicability and benefits of competency mapping in Small Medium-sized Enterprises with context to Delhi-NCR region. The reason of choosing the manufacturing sector of Small Medium-sized Enterprises is that they don’t like to opt for such types of modern HR practices at their workplace due to many myths like increase of cost to the company, no direct benefit in adopting this practice, wastage of time etc. Ability advancement by Competency mapping is one of the most precise methods used by large-scale size companies. The small firms can also achieve the same result if this HR practice is properly implemented over their employees and their result should be further used for their development. Sometimes companies used the Competency mapping method for the performance appraisal of their employees, handling their conflicts but this is not just the limitation it can be used in other area also like for preparing the customized training schedule for individual employee. The author selected the certain competency factors, which are having the impact over the productivity, and on the basis of these factors a primary data collection method is used. This is an exploratory research design in which both primary and secondary data collection method is used. ANOVA test, Correlation and Chi-square tests is used for analyzing the data, conducted through SPSS version 22. The result of this study is applicable only for Delhi NCR region. The analysis-based recommendation is useful only for the SME’s manufacturing sector. Further research on this topic can be easily done because this research is based on limited sample size, budget and time constraints.
