<em>The objective of this research is to improve the cursive handwriting skill through Explicit Instruction model of the second grade students. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research conducted two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research are teacher and second grade students which amounted to 31 students. The data of this research were collected by observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data of this research were validated by using data source and technique triangulations. The data were analyzed by using the interactive analysis model. Based of the research, seen from minimum passing score 70, the classical passing score of students writing skill was increased, from 29% in pre-action, increased to 61% in cycle I, and increased to 84% in cycle II. This research can be concluded that through Explicit Instruction model can improve cursive handwriting skill of the second grade students of State Primary School Soropadan No. 108 in academic year 2017/2018.</em>

The purpose of this research is to determine the enhancement of students’ interest and science learning outcomes of second grade students in SD Negeri Wirosaban Academic Year 2016/2017 through the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). This is a classroom action research (PTK). The students’ interest and science learning outcomes increased in the amount of 14,82%. It can be indicated by the increase of the percentage average of students’ interest based on the questionnaire results for each cycle, for instance in the first cycle, there is an increase from 73,43% to 79,82% in Cycle II. In the pre cycles stage, the percentage of completeness is 35,71% or 10 completed students. Once given a cycle action, the percentage of science mastery increases to 60,71% or 17 completed students. Then in cycle two, there is an increased to 100% or all students experience mastery with an average value of 84,46.

The research is aimed to the use of think inside the box strategy be able to improve students vocabulary mastery. The subject of this study was 20 students at second grade students of SMPN 4 Praya Barat Daya. In which consist of 8 males and 12 females. It was classroom action research with two cycles, each cycles of four steps: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data gathering used written test, and questionnaires and analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative approach. At the result of the first cycle was failed where the mean score of pre test was 62.35 and class percentage was 30% and he mean score of post test was 70.25 and class percentage was 65% and the result of the second cycle that the mean score was 80,2 and the class percentage was 80% indicating the target of 75 of the minimum criterion has been achieved, it means that the action was stopped.

This research comes from the weakness of vocabulary mastery of students with disability. This researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) in integrated classroom to improve vocabulary of the students with disability at the second grade of SMP Diponegoro, Junrejo, Batu in the academic year 2017/2018 by using flashcards. In this research, the researcher becomes a teacher while the English teacher becomes a volunteer or therapist to help, control and manage the class. The result of the study showed that before the implementation of flashcards, all students with disability’ score were under 75, with the lowest score was 50 and the highest score was 70. From six students with disability, no one passed Standard Minimum Criteria (KKM). Therefore, in the cycle 1, all students with disability passed Standard Minimum Criteria (KKM). The lowest score was 80 and the highest score was 100.[Penelitian ini berasal dari kelemahan kosakata siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Peneliti ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dikelas integrasi untuk meningkatkan kosakata siswa berkebutuhan khusus dikelas dua SMP Diponegoro, Junrejo, Batu tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dengan  menggunanakan flashcards. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti berperan menjadi guru sementara itu guru bahasa Inggris menjadi relawan atau terapi untuk membantu, mengontrol dan mengatur kelas. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebelum implementasi flashcrads, nilai seluruh siswa berkebutuhan kusus dibawah 75, dengan nilai terrendah adalah 50 dan nilai tertinggi adalah 70. Dari enam siswa berkebutuhan khussu, tidak siswa ada yang melewati Kriteria ketuntatas minimal (KKM). Oleh karena itu, pada siklus 1, semua siswa berkebutuhan khusus melewati kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Dengan nilai terrendah 80 dan nilai tertinggi adalah 100.]

<em>This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian class V SDN 2 Bendo using WhattsApp with a scientific approach. This research is a classroom action research with four main steps, namely: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Collecting data in this study using observation and tests. The data collected was then analyzed and it can be concluded that the application of learning using Whatsapp based on a scientific approach can: (1) Improve the learning outcomes of class V students of SDN 2 Bendo, Nogosari District, Boyolali Regency, Semester I of the 2020/2021 academic year of 28.6% in pre cycle to 42.8% in cycle I, 71.4% in cycle II and in cycle III increased to 100%. (2) The steps for implementing Whatsapp Social Media Based on the Scientific Approach can improve learning outcomes in Indonesian for Class V SDN 2 Bendo, Nogosari District, Boyolali Regency, Semester I of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. This study is a classroom action research (CAR). This study proposed example non example technique to teach English for second grade students at state junior high school 1 Larangan Pamekasan to solve the students’ problems on speaking skill. The result of the preliminary study indicated that the problem of the students toward their speaking skill is the average speaking score is lower than the minimum standard of learning (KKM). Based on the pre-test, the students who got score more or equals to 75 are 7 students and 33 students got less 75. Then the researchers collaborated with the teachers try to solve the problem using example non-example technique using classroom action approach. The results showed that the instruction through example non-example technique in the Cycle I and Cycle II, there was improvement of students’ speaking ability at second grade of state junior high school 1 Larangan Pamekasan. The students were more imaginative and feel free to show their understanding about the pictures. It made they motivate to learn and they could improve their speaking ability.

This research is a classroom action research which was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah Jember. It is aimed at improving students’ reading comprehension by the use of questioning technique. The second grade students were taken as the subjects of the research. They are all thirty-two students. The data were collected from in-depth-interview during the process of teaching and learning and test which was given in the end of the process. In the first cycle, there were twenty students (62.5%) who gain the criteria of success. Meanwhile, in the second cycle, twenty-six students (81.25%) gain the target score. This showed that the students were successful in reading comprehension class. The conclusion of the study is that the use of Questioning Strategy can improve the second grade students’ reading comprehension of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Jember.Keywords: reading comprehension, questioning strategy.

This study was aimed to improve the students’ writing competency in XI IPA-2 at SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada through the implementation of the Idea-Details strategy. The subjects of this study was class XI IPA 2. This study was conducted in form of Classroom Action Research. The data were collected through some instruments, namely writing competency test, questionnaire, and observation checklist. The result showed that the implementation of the Idea-Details strategy was success to improve the students’ writing competency in narrative and report text. The percentage of students who achieved score higher than or equal to 75 increased from 20% in preliminary observation to 85% in cycle 2. The cycle was stopped in cycle 2 since the percentage of the students who achieved the passing score were more than 75% regarded to performance indicator.

<p><em>Lowness of poetry writing skill on four grade student of jetis 2 primary school makes researcher done a research with Think Talk Write model of study. The purpose of this research was to improve poetry writing skill on student. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research because to emphasize improvements in classroom learning. Result of this research was average score of students’ poetry writing on first test before the action done was 47. After cycle one, the score increased to 71,83, and at cycle 2 it became 77,67. The previous classical comprehensiveness of poem writing skill was 20%, then increased to 60% on first cycle, and rose again into 77,67% on second cycle.The conclusion of this research was the implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) model can improve students’ skill on writing poetry on four grade students of Jetis 2 Primary School in academic year of 2017/2018.</em></p>

ABSTRACT According to Meyer (2002) in Muniandy and Veloo (2011:173; cited in Tugiwati, 2014) defines video as a kind of multimedia material consisting of verbal and non-verbal presentations displaying simultaneous images, narration  and on screen text. Video is an electronic device that produces live images with a sounds. The major goals of this study were to investigate the implementing of video in teaching listening, the object of this study is the second grade students in senior high school. This study employed a classroom action research. Classroom action research on this study was conducted in two cycles. There are four steps in each cycle; planning, action, observation, and reflections. The data of this study were analyzed by using mix method, both of quantitative and qualitative. For quantitative method, the researcher used test to collect the data. While for qualitative method, it was analyzed by using questionnaire and observation. The test is used by the researcher to measure student’s listening skill improvement. In each cycle the researcher conducted pre-test and post-test. The questionnaires were used to support the data. Observation was used to evaluate the learning processes. The results show that the use of video in teaching listening was success to improve students’ achievement. It can be seen from the result of each test in each cycle. In cycle 1 the mean scores of pre-test 1 was 53.06, post-test 1 was57.83. While in cycle 2, pre-test 2 was 71.94, post-test 2 was 75.81. The result of questionnaires shows that the students could understand the content of the video easily. The result of observation showed that video could create fun learning.  Keywords: listening, video, teaching listening, teaching listening through video
