AbstractThe purpose of this study was for knowing whether there was a difference and an effect of Probing Prompting Learning model toward student critical thinking ability. It was a quasi-experimental research, using experimental and control groups that would determine the difference of two variables. There were two sample classes—the tenth-grade students of MIA 4 (experiment) that were 28 students taught by using Probing Prompting Learning model and 28 students of MIA 5 (control) taught by using conventional learning. Collecting the data was done by using written posttest, and the obtained data were analyzed by using Independent sample t-test and Simple linear regression test. Based on the result of processing the final data, it was obtained the score of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 that was lower than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It could be concluded that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It meant that there was a difference between Probing Prompting Learning model and conventional learning toward student critical thinking ability. The equation of the regression was Y=56.658+0.351 X. It could be known that the score of the significance (sig.) 0.001 was lower than the probability 0.05 (0.001<0.05), so it could be concluded that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It meant that there was an effect of Probing Prompting Learning model toward student critical thinking ability at the tenth grade of Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pendekatan problem-based learning (PBL) setting think talk write (TTW) dan problem-based learning (PBL) setting think pair share (TPS) serta mendeskripsikan perbedaan keefektifan antara PBL setting TTW dan PBL setting TPS ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes prestasi belajar, tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan angket self-efficacy siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan one sample t-test, dan analisis multivariat (MANOVA). One sample t-test dilakukan untuk menguji keefektifan pendekatan PBL setting TTW dan keefektifan pendekatan PBL setting TPS, sedangkan analisis multivariat (MANOVA) dilakukan untuk menguji perbedaan keefektifan antara kedua treatment tersebut ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-efficacy siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan PBL setting TTW dan pendekatan PBL setting TPS efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-efficacy siswa. Selain itu hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan yang signifikan antara pendekatan PBL setting TTW dengan pendekatan PBL setting TPS ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-efficacy siswa. The Effectiveness of PBL Setting TTW and TPS Seen from Students Learning Achievement, Critical Thinking and Self-Efficacy  AbstractThis study aims to describe the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL) setting think talk write (TTW) and PBL setting think pair share (TPS) and describe the difference of the effectiveness between PBL setting TTW and PBL setting TPS in terms of learning achievements, critical thinking ability and self-efficacy of grade students. The research instruments to collect the data are a learning achievement test, a test to examine the ability to think critically and a self-efficacy questionnaire. One sample t-test was conducted to examine the effectiveness PBL setting TTW and PBL setting TPS. Meanwhile, multivariate test (MANOVA) was carried out to determine the difference between PBL setting TTW and PBL setting TPS. The results show that both PBL setting TTW and PBL setting TPS are effective in terms of students learning achievements, critical thinking ability, and self-efficacy and there is no significant difference between the effectiveness of PBL setting TTW and the effectiveness of PBL setting TPS in terms of learning achievements, critical thinking ability and student self-efficacy.

AbstrakPembelajaran matematika diharapkan dapat mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis, meskipun pembelajaran secara daring. Penelitian bertujuan menerapkan salah satu model pembelajaran yang menekankan pada aspek berpikir kritis yaitu model 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningfull) pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar dan menganalisis dampaknya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMPN di Salatiga, sampelnya 82 siswa dari SMPN 1 Salatiga dan SMPN 6 Salatiga yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen 1 dan 2. Desain penelitian eksperimen semu ini adalah randomized control grup pretest-postest design. Instrumen tes berbentuk 7 soal uraian, terdiri dari pretest dan posttest dengan rubrik penilaian berdasarkan aspek Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity, and Overview. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan penerapan model pembelajaran 3CM dengan dua jenis kegiatan creative yang berbeda yaitu berbasis project dan berbasis problems posing menghasilkan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang sama. Penerapan 3CM dimungkinkan untuk menggunakan dua jenis kegiatan tersebut dalam melakukan aspek creative guna mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.  The Effectiveness of The 3 CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) Learning Model on The Critical Thinking Ability of SMP StudentsAbstractMathematics learning is expected to hone thinking skills, although learning must be done boldly. This study aims to apply a learning model that emphasizes the critical thinking aspect, namely the 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) model on the flat-sided building material, and analyze its impact on students' critical thinking skills. The study population was all students of SMPN in Salatiga, the sample was 82 students from SMPN 1 Salatiga and SMPN 6 Salatiga who were divided into experimental 1 and 2 groups. This quasi-experimental research design was a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The test instrument is in the form of a description of 7 questions consisting of a pretest and posttest with a rubric based on aspects Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity, and Overview. Hypothesis testing that the application of the 3CM learning model with different types of Creative (based on project and problems posing) activities results in the same critical thinking skills.

This study aims to determine whether the learning model Concept Attainment Model (CAM) affect the Critical Thinking Ability of Students in SMA Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Palembang. This research uses a quasi-experimental method (Quasi-Experimental) with pretest-posttest control group design research design. Sampling is done by saturated sampling technique. The sample of this research is class X IPA 1 and class X IPA 2 in SMA Nahdatul Ulama (NU) Palembang. The results showed that there are differences in critical thinking ability of Animalia subject matter. Improvement Critical thinking ability can be seen on the result before using learning model that is Interpreter indicator, Analysis, Evaluation, Inference (Conclusion), Explanation (Explanation), Self-regulation is 36%, 36%, 37%, 41% 45%, and 46%. Whereas after using Learning Model on interpretation indicator, analysis, evaluation, inference (Conclusion), Explanation (Self Explanation), Self-regulation is 80%, 84%, 85%, 85%, 83%, and 84%. The results showed that this learning model can improve students' critical thinking ability. The results of statistical calculations obtained count = 3.474 and t table of 1.666 with DK (degrees of freedom) of 73 with a significant level of 5% so that tcount> t table is 3.474> 1.666 and significance value 0.001> 0.05. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the influence of the learning model Concept Attainment Model to the critical thinking ability of students in SMA Nahdatul Ulama Palembang.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, (2) pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan bakat numerik siswa terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang memiliki bakat numerik tinggi, (4) perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dengan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, pada siswa yang memiliki bakat numerik rendah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah two way pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IA SMAN 2 Semarapura tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 171 orang. Sampel 76 orang siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan uji kesetaraan kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa keterampilan berpikir kritis dan bakat numerik siswa yang dikumpulkan dengan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan bakat numerik. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji ANAVA dua jalur dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Scheffe untuk menguji komparasi pasangan nilai rata-rata tiap kelompok perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation dan model pembelajaran langsung (Fh=14,153;pF’(0,05)=4,41).Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Group Investigation, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Bakat Numerik. This research aimed to analyze (1) the difference of critical thinking ability among the students who joined Group Investigation cooperative learning model with the students who take the direct learning model, (2) interaction effect between learning model and students’ numerical talent towards students’ critical thinking ability, (3) the difference of critical thinking ability among the students who joined Group Investigation cooperative learning model with the students who take the direct learning model, on high numerical talent students, (4) the difference of critical thinking ability among the students who joined Group Investigation cooperative learning model with the students who take the direct learning model, on low numerical talent students. The research type was a quasi experimental research with two ways pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research population was grade XI A1 students of SMAN 2 Semarapura Academic Year 2013/2014, with the amount 171 students. The sample was 76 students chosen by simple random sampling technique and class equality test. The data research was critical thinking ability and students’ numerical talent collected by critical thinking ability test and numerical talent. The hypothesis testing used ANOVA two paths followed by Scheffe test to test the comparative value pairs on average each treatment group. The research result showed (1) there was a significant difference between critical thinking ability of the students using Group Investigation cooperative learning model and direct learning model (Fh=14,153;p˂0,05). The students learnt using Group Investigation cooperative learning model showed better critical thinking ability and numerical talent. (2) There was an interaction effect between learning model and numerical talent towards critical thinking ability (Fh=4,502;p˂0,05). (3) There was a significant difference between critical thinking ability students’ levels that using Group Investigation cooperative learning model and direct learning model on high numerical talent students (Fh=16,68˃F’(0,05)=4,41). This research aims to determine the effect of applying learning model of reading guide with blog contextual content media on students majoring in history at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The sample in this research is the students of history class 2017 IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.This research is a kind of Quasi experimental design and this research including with pre-test and post-test control group design.The research of African history learning with the model of reading guide with media blog contextual content is stated enough to give effect even in low level. This is indicated by: (1) the students’ critical thinking ability exceeds minimalcompletenesseither individually or classically, (2) the critical thinking skill of students who are given the model of reading guide with contextual content blog media is better than the class given conventional learning, (3) variable Reading Guide sig = 0.087 = 8.7%> 5%, so H0 is accepted, meaning that the reading guide has no influence on the variable of critical thinking ability, but Blog Contextual content variable there is positive influence with index sig = 0,030 = 0% <5% so H0 is rejected, it means Contextual Content Blog has influence to critical thinking ability variable or together between reading guide model and blog contextual content media to critical thinking ability, and (4) improvement of critical thinking ability of students who are given learning model of reading guide with media blog contextual content is better than the class that is given conventional learning.

This study aims to: (1) To find out the differences of mathematical critical thinking ability of students taught with the STAD type cooperative learning model compared to conventional learning models; (2) To find out the difference of mathematical critical thinking ability of students who have high social skills compared to students who have low social skills; and (3) To find out the interaction between learning models and social skills in effecting the students' critical thinking ability. The population in this study were all grade four students at SD Negeri 05 Pauh Lubuk Sikaping, the number of students was 54, consisting of four grade A and four grade B. Data collection techniques used in this study were social skills questionnaires and critical thinking skills tests. The data analysis technique used in this study was inferential statistical techniques. Hypothesis testing is done by Two Way Anova test with a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that: (1) mathematical critical thinking ability of students taught with the STAD type cooperative learning model was higher than mathematical critical thinking ability of students taught with the conventional learning model (Fcount = 21.164 and sig. 0.000> 0.05); (2) The mathematical critical thinking ability of students who have high social skills was higher than the mathematical critical thinking ability of students who have low social skills (Fcount = 6.756 and sig. 0.012> 0.05); and (3) There was an interaction between learning models and social skills in effecting mathematical critical thinking ability of students (Fcount = 7.054 and sig. 0.011> 0.05).

The background of this research is, there is no learning model that can optimally support critical thinking skills, so it takes an innovative learning model. In this case, the researchers used web helped to guide discovery learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of the student in class X SMAN 4 Praya in academic year 2019/2020. This study aimed to find an effect of web assisted guided discovery learning on trigonometry material to critical thinking ability of the student in class X SMAN 4 Praya in academic year 2019/2020. This study use a quantitative research approach to the type of experimental research. In this experiment the researchers used a quasi-experimental, and uses two classes as a research, the experimental class and control class. The population of this research is all the student in class X SMAN 4 Praya and and choose two class as a sample class that is X MIPA 5 as a experimental class and X MIPA 3 as control class. Student in experimental class used web assisted guided discovery learning model and in control class used guided discovery without web assisted. The result of the research showed that the average of critical thinking ability in the experimental class is better than control class which is in the experimental class is in the less effective category and control class in ineffective category.

The aims of this research were to analyze the result of student’s Science Process Skills by using Inquiry Training Learning Model, to analyze the result of student’sScience Process Skills who had critical thinking ability above average better than critical thinking ability below average and to analyze the interaction between Inquiry training learning model and critical thinking ability of physics student’s Science Process Skills. This research was a quasi-experimental with two group pretest posttest design and anova design. The sample was conducted by cluster random sampling of two classes, the first class as experiment class with inquiry training Learning Model, and the second class as a control class with Conventional Learning. The research instrument consisted of science process skills test and critical thinking test. Data in this research was analyzed by using two ways Anova. The results of the research showed that student’s Science Process Skills using inquiry training learning model better than conventional learning, student’s Science Process Skills who had critical thinking above average better than critical thinking below average, and there was interaction between Inquiry training learning model and critical thinking to improve physics sudent’s Science Process Skills

The purpose of this research is to measure the difference of improvement of students' critical thinking ability by applying the cooperative model Take and give type with Think Pair Square type on salt hydrolysis material in grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong academic year 2017 / 2018. This study was conducted with a population of 201 students from 6 IPA classes and a sample of 68 students from 2 classes it class XI IPA 1 as experiment 1 and XI IPA 5 as experiment 2 which can be from normality and homogeneity test. The research is a kind of quasi experiment. Data analysis used is normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The students' critical thinking ability data is obtained from the pretest and posttest values at the beginning of the meeting and at the end of the meeting. This critical thinking skills test consists of 15 essay questions. The average increase in critical thinking skills for Take and give classes with Think Pair Square class is 44,757 and 51,683. By testing the hypothesis using t test with a significant level of 0.05, then obtained the value for t hitung> t table is 3.081> 1.668. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills  with the classes that apply the Think Pair Square learning model is better than the class that applied the Take and give learning model.

AbstractThe purpose of this research were to examine the effect of contextual learningmodel of Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring (REACT)with Virtual Simulation to critical thinking ability and student learning activity inSenior High School. The type of this research was experimental research using posttest only control group design. Population in this research was the tenth gradestudents of SMAN 2 Jember. The data were collected by observation, documentation,interview and test. The data were analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test withSPSS 24. The results showed that the average value of critical thinking ability ofexperimental class was 81,15 and control class was 69,91. In result of activity valueof experiment class was 86,943 and control class was 79,934. This study can beconcluded REACT learning model with virtual simulation have an effect onsignificance to critical thinking ability and student activity in physics learning insenior high school.Keywords: Contextual learning model of REACT, virtual simulation, criticalthinking, student learning activity
