Is it possible to transform stone into a technological and innovative device? The meeting with one of the main stone transformers in Europe produced the intention of a disruptive operation that could affect the strategy of the whole company. A contagious singularity. By intertwining LEAN methodologies and the human-centric approach of design thinking, we mapped the value creation in the company activating a dialogue with the workers and the management, listening to people, asking for ambitions, discovering problems and the potential of production. This qualitative and quantitative analysis conducted with a multidisciplinary approach by designers, architects and marketing strategists allowed us to define a new method. We used it to design a platform that could let all the players express their potential to the maximum. This is how the group's research laboratory was born, with the aim of promoting the relationship between humans and stone through product innovation. With this goal, we coordinated the new team, developing technologies that would allow creating a more direct relationship between man and surface, making the stone reactive. The result was the first responsive kitchen ever.

We develop a new conceptual framework to analyze the evolution of the relationship between cultural production and different forms of economic and social value creation in terms of three alternative socio-technical regimes that have emerged over time. We show how, with the emergence of the Culture 3.0 regime characterized by novel forms of active cultural participation, where the distinction between producers and users of cultural and creative contents is increasingly blurred, new channels of social and economic value creation through cultural participation acquire increasing importance. We characterize them through an eight-tier classification, and argue on this basis why cultural policy is going to acquire a central role in the policy design approaches of the future. Whether Europe will play the role of a strategic leader in this scenario in the context of future cohesion policies is an open question.

Aims: This study aims to investigate the effect of consumer awareness influenced by knowledge, religiosity, and subjective norm on behavioral intention to buy halal food products in Indonesia. Methodology: Structural equation modeling methods were used in hypothesis testing. Results: The eight tests show no causal relationship between Knowledge and Behavioral Intention. This means that Knowledge does not significantly influence Behavioral Intention to buy halal products. Furthermore, Knowledge, Religiosity, and Subjective Norm have a significant simultaneous influence on Attitude. Similarly, Knowledge, Religiosity, Subjective Norm, and Attitude have a significant concurrent influence on Behavioral Intention.  Conclusion: In scientific development, theoretical contributions in halal food are carried out by adding variables, including halalness value creation quality to develop a sustainable halal ecosystem. However, further research should be conducted, especially in the value creation process using another grand supporting theory. Novelty: This study uses quantitative analysis by providing a new conceptual model and the relationship between variables based on consumer culture theory as a novelty.

The fields of frugal and reverse innovation as well as sustainability and its management have received tremendous interest in recent times. However, there is little literature on how both fields are related to each other. Hence, this paper gives an overview of research in both areas and provides a view of the relationship between frugal and reverse innovation, sustainability management and performance constructs. The link between frugal and reverse innovation on the one hand and sustainability performance on the other hand is established through a differentiated perspective on dimensions representing different fields of sustainability management, i.e. the sustainability of resources used in value creation, the sustainability of the actual value creation processes, and the sustainability of the outcomes of value creation processes. Moreover, we also argue for a positive link between the three dimensions of sustainability management and a company’s market performance.

The global context in which companies operate nowadays is extremely complex. This fact pushes organizations to a continuous search of the best strategy that will enable them to stand out in the market. Supply Chain Management, in its dual concept of coordinated demand and supply chains, represents an excellent opportunity to enhance the competitive advantage of companies. In relation to the demand chain, it can help to improve the knowledge of the customers and their needs, to develop their capacities for innovation and response, as well as to differentiate their products. With respect to the supply chain, it will focus the attention on increasing the flexibility in production capacity and delivery of products and services with less use of resources. For this reason, this study proposes to analyze the relationship between value creation and business results in some Spanish companies through supply chain processes. In order to do so, it describes a transactional non-experimental research employing the Technological Innovation Panel Database (PITEC).

This research examines social media users’ value-creation processes and the drivers of a start-up company’s successful social media strategy. This research primarily aims to understand start-ups’ effective utilization of social media and value co-creation processes. Although utilizing social media has become key for many organizations, start-ups and small businesses often suffer from a lack of understanding and knowledge of the utilization of social media tools. Therefore, this article uses a case study on the relationship between a social media platform and users’ value co-creation to offer a conceptual framework for start-ups to consider in utilizing social media. Our research reveals that four core drivers of social media success include experience, satisfaction, expression, and sharing ability. Each of these drivers in turn contains conditions for understanding users’ value-creation process and the creation of drivers for successful social media strategies. The research contributes to literature by providing a detailed review of users’ value co-creation as a part of a start-up’s successful social media strategy.

The literature has traditionally focused on the relationship between innovation and entrepreneurial activity, adopting mainly two perspectives when addressing entrepreneurship: empirical studies focusing on the behaviour of companies, and studies that consider entrepreneurship as a factor promoting the achievement of economic policy objectives. Following Schumpeter, innovation is a key source of value creation, generating growth in companies and the economy as a whole. But it is also important to remember the feedback effects generated in this process. This chapter analyses the relationship among three variables: entrepreneurship, innovation, and value creation, as well as the subsequent feedback effects. The theoretical aspects are considered and an empirical analysis is developed for the case of some European countries.
