ABSTRACTPesticides poisoning can affect the activity of cholinesterase enzyme that breaks down acetylcholinecompound that plays role in transmitting signal or stimulus into muscle nerve cells adjacent to each other thatstimuli can stop.Factors which allow the poisoning is the absence of PPE when working and unstandardized dosage ofpesticides usage. Poisoning can occur through skin contact, inhalation or oral. The purpose of this study is todetermine blood cholinesterase enzyme working activities on rice farmer in Kepuh Anyar, Mojokerto 2016. Thisstudy is a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. Data collection was carried out through laboratoryresults.The result of this study shows that the majority of rice farmers in Kepuh Anyar village, Mojokerto usedcarbamate and peritroid pesticides. The average age of farmers was > 40 years, working duration of ≤ 8 hours,years of 11-15, and had sufficient knowledge to categories of pesticides. However, most of the farmers‟cholinesterase enzyme experienced poisoning in mild and moderate poisoning level.Related agencies are suggested to conduct counseling about the dangers of pesticide contamination toagricultural sector. OBJECTIVE To describe the fifth-year medical students' self-evaluation based on the reflexive discourse of the Activities Diaries (portfolio) from the Pediatric Internship I and Child Care Rotations. METHODS Cross sectional, qualitative and descriptive study using the collective subject discourse of the diaries used during the internship of the Medical School, in Catanduva, São Paulo, from January to November, 2011. The registered students' testimonials in the portfolio sections called self-assessment and students' impression were assessed according to their central ideas (discipline organization, breastfeeding outpatient clinic, number of admissions in the pediatric hospital ward and satisfaction with the Child Health training ), related to the teaching of Pediatrics and Child Care. The portfolios with incomplete registers were excluded. RESULTS The testimonials of 47 interns (75% of the students) were analyzed, and 21.3% of them expressed satisfaction with the discipline organization and 27.7% praised the inclusion of the breastfeeding outpatient clinics in the course. For 25.5% of the academics, the number of admissions in the pediatric wards was insufficient for an ideal learning; however, 70.2% were satisfied with the Child Health training. CONCLUSIONS This critical analysis allowed a summary of the reflections, suggestions and critics registered by the interns and can be used as a tool for improvement of the professional cycle.

Objective: To evaluate the health service and the satisfaction of patients and their caregivers in relation to the therapeutic ride, in Integrated Continuous Care. Methods: Cross-sectional, descriptive study, conducted between January 2017 and January 2018, using a specific form for data collection and interview conducted before hospital discharge. Results: The study included 23 patients and 27 caregivers. Regarding the evaluation of the service related to the therapeutic ride, 95.6% (22/23) of the patients and 70.4% (19/27) of the caregivers confirmed that they understood the objectives of this practice. The duration of the therapeutic ride was considered sufficient by 69.6% (16/23) of patients and 70.4% (19/27) of caregivers. Most patients (52.2%) and caregivers (70.4%) declared to be very satisfied with the result of the therapeutic ride. Conclusion: The therapeutic ride demonstrates its differential aspect by adding training, contributing greatly to the safe transition from the hospital to the home.

<b><i>Background:</i></b> Inadvertent hypothermia is one of the most common problems in the perioperative period. Providing and maintaining normothermia is very important in preventing inadvertent perioperative hypothermia as well as complications. <b><i>Purpose:</i></b> The aim of the study was to determine the knowledge and practices of operating room nurses to prevent hypothermia. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out in the operating rooms of 4 hospitals in Istanbul between July 2016 and September 2017. The sample consisted of a total of 95 participants who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected by using a data collection form. Data collection forms were filled with face-to-face interview techniques. <b><i>Results:</i></b> According to this study, 84.2% of the participants did not receive any training to prevent hypothermia, 85.3% stated that it was very important to protect the patients from hypothermia, and 88.4% stated that there was no protocol on hypothermia in the hospital. <b><i>Conlusions:</i></b> The majority of the operating room nurses who participated in this study about determining the practices in maintaining normothermia in the operating room environment stated that they did not receive any training to prevent hypothermia, and the prevention of hypothermia was important. There was no common protocol used.

Background: Women experience multiple worries during the childbearing period, nearly every pregnant woman or her partner will worry about something pregnancy-related at one point or another. The objectives of the study were to assess the worries of pregnant women using the Cambridge Worry Scale, compare the degree of worries between primigravida and multiparae pregnant women and compare the worries of pregnant women by their stage of pregnancy. Materials and method: The study was a cross-sectional descriptive study design. Four health centers were randomly selected and 361 pregnant women were recruited for the study. Data collection instrument was a self-administered / interviewer-administered questionnaire developed using the Cambridge worry scale Result and Conclusion: Ranking of worries of pregnant women using mean score value showed that pregnant women worry more about child-birth (1.99), their health (1.79), and the possibility of something wrong with the baby (1.70) and money (1.40). This study was able to assess the worries of pregnant women using the Cambridge Worry Scale. It is recommended that health care personnel should take more time in assessing pregnant women for the wellbeing of both the mother and baby.

The existence of service quality that convenient with patient’s expectations would have a positive impact for the continuity of UIN Sunan Ampel’s clinic. Based on it, this research aimed to observed the level of patient satisfaction at UIN Sunan Ampel’s clinic and conducted with a Cross Sectional approach. The population of this study were all patients of UIN Sunan’s Clinic during May 2017. Sampling was collected by an incidental sampling. with 30 patients acted as respondents. The data was taken by questioner. The results of data collection were presented with frequency distribution tables in the form of graphs or diagrams. The survey results showed that the characteristics of the patient were 87% less than 20 years old, 70% female, 73% satisfied with clinical service, 87% satisfied with clinic service, 82% satisfied with the registration time at the clinic, 73% long service time of clinic pharmacy, 90% satisfied with clinical hygiene. It was expected that this research can be developed by further researchers for the better service quality at UIN Sunan Ampel’s clinic.

Aims: To determine patterns of childhood mortality and its trends over a 4 years’ period in a private pediatric hospital.  Study Design: A cross-sectional descriptive study. Place and Duration of Study: Study conducted in the Nouveau Village de Pédiatrie (NVDP), in Kisangani town, Democratic Republic of Congo, between June 2014 and June 2018. Methodology: Socio-demographic, clinical and biological data of children of 0-16 years were retrospectively recorded. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse patterns of childhood mortality and its trends during the four years’ period. Results: From June 2014 to June 2018, 3789 children of 0 to 16 years were hospitalised in the Nouveau Village de Pédiatrie. The global mortality was 16.1% in 2014 and 2.4% in 2018. Mortality within 24 hours of admission was 58%. Neonatal mortality decreased from 22.4% in 2014 to 7.4% in 2018. The leading diagnosis was neonatal causes: sepsis, prematurity, neonatal asphyxia, severe, congenital abnormalities. Most of older children died from severe pneumonia, meningitis, severe anaemia and severe malaria. Severe pneumonia was the most frequent and common cause of children death in all ages. Conclusion: Microbiological data, point of care exams, high quality antimicrobials and antibiotic stewardship in antimicrobial prescribing had a great impact in the significant reduction of childhood mortality in the Nouveau Village de Pédiatrie. Efforts must be focused on the reduction of neonatal mortality.

Aim: This study was to evaluate the maternal practices regarding oral antibiotics administration. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study design was utilized. A convenient sample of one hundred mothers who were visiting the general and chest out-patient clinics and fulfilling the study criteria was enrolled. One structured interview questionnaire was designed specifically for this study after a thorough review of the literature and previous researches. It included two parts: Personal characteristics of the mothers and their practices in administering oral antibiotics for their young children. Results: The study results found that the mean age of mothers was 27.3± 4.6 years, 26.00% were illiterate and 78.00% were housewives. Also, showed that 70.0% of mothers had poor scores regarding antibiotics administration. Likewise, 66% of the studied mothers didn't complete the full course of antibiotics as prescribed regardless of the child's improvements. Too, 42% of mothers were using the teaspoon followed by 30.0% using syringe to measure antibiotic doses. Moreover, 78% were giving the previously prescribed antibiotics without prescription. Furthermore, there was a highly statistically positive correlation found as regard mothers' education and their total score of practices (r=0.29, P=0.003). Also, statistically positive correlations were found between mothers' age, occupation, and residence and their total score of knowledge (r= 0.16, 0.25, 0.18, P=0.09, 0.01 and 0.008) respectively. Conclusions: The majority of mothers had poor scores regarding the total score of oral antibiotics practices. Too, the errors during antibiotics administration were evident by mothers. So, the ministry of health should set a policy to limit un-prescribed antibiotics purchasing from pharmacy shops.

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui dampak positif dan negatif dari adanya pergantian (turn-over) guru di Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Ulama Banyuputih kabupaten Batang. Penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif analitis dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya turn-over yang tinggi pada guru atau pendidik di madrasah tersebut; keuntungan yang bersifat positif justru didapatkan ketika adanya turn-over guru dibandingkan dampak negatifnya; dan kehadiran guru baru menjadi hal yang sangat disukai oleh siswa dalam hal kreativitas, inovasi pembelajaran, motivasi, dan lain sebagainya.The aims of this research were to know the positive and negative impact of teacher turn over at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Ulama Banyuputih Kabupaten Batang. This research was use analytical descriptive qualitative approach with depth interview, questionnaire and documentation as data collection methods. The results of this research shows that the positive impact occur more than the negative impact when there was teacher turn over; and the presence of a new teacher become student’s favourite on creativity, learning innovation, and motivation aspects.
