Abstract The problem of the current research lies in the need to integrate some requirements of the sustainable development (SD) in secondary school chemistry curriculum. The research specifically seeks to answer the following question: What “requirements of sustainable development” should be taught in the secondary school chemistry curriculum in Egypt? To that end, the researcher analyzed the content of chemistry curricula in the three grades of secondary education in Egypt for the school year 2017–2018, and prepared a list of 57 SD requirements. It should be noted that fifteen requirements of sustainable development at the second-grade secondary stage were distributed into five units; the third unit included one requirement; the fourth unit comprised four requirements; and the fifth unit – one requirement. Regarding curriculum at the third-grade secondary stage, 17 requirements of sustainable development were integrated and distributed along five units.

This study aimed to identify the scientific values ​​included in the book of physics for the third grade secondary in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used the descriptive method through the method of content analysis, where the researcher prepared a criterion for analysis. The study community may be of all subjects listed in the physics book without exposure to the content of the exercises, introductions, indexes and images. The researcher concluded that the total frequency of the scientific values ​​included in the book of physics for the third grade secondary reached (521) scientific value, these frequencies varied in the first semester and the second semester of the book of physics for the third grade secondary, (14.2%) compared to other values, while the value of scientists as the lowest percentage (4.8%). The researcher also found the lack of the book of physics of scientific values ​​when linked to the objectives of education policy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the objectives of the secondary stage, and the objectives of the physics course in particular, and showed that interest in scientific values ​​was closer to randomness and without prior planning of the scientific values ​​to be learned and focus on, The researcher presented a number of recommendations to develop the role played by the book of physics through the interest in including the scientific values ​​based on clear objectives taken by those who build the curriculum to suit the data of the age of knowledge and technology, Each regular and focus on scientific missing in the book values ​​by increasing replication.

The present study aims: sought to research in the indicators of gender parity in higher education for Bachelor degree of public universities in Saudi Arabia. Its importance was that it seeks to provide a database of indicators of sustainable development in general and the equivalence index in particular, and the localization of sustainable development goals within the vision of the Kingdom 2030, in addition to know the differences between universities in terms of the equivalence index. The researcher used a descriptive analytical method. The research came out with several results, most notably: The gender parity index in most higher education in public universities in the baccalaureate stage according to statistics, was in favor of females in the years: 2016، 2017، 2018. The inequality index over the three years 2016، 2017، 2018 was favored by females in the north, and south of Saudi Arabia. It also made a number of recommendations, including: Increase the number of studies and researches concerned with higher education in public universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (undergraduate).

Stroke is a major cerebrovascular disease causes high mortality and morbidity in people around the world. Stroke is the third leading cause of death and the leading cause of adult disability. The largest country in the middle East, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has been occupying approximately four-fifths of the Arabian Peninsula supporting a population of more than 28 million. Stroke is getting to be a quickly expanding issue and is the leading cause of illness and deaths in Saudi Arabia. It is clear that researches and studies regarding the incidence, prevalence and their sociodemographic properties of stroke is still incomplete due to lack of present studies being conducted in these specified areas. This article aims to discuss the aspect of stroke in Saudi Arabia beside the effects of modifiable and the non-modifiable risk factors from the literature published.

Background: This work investigated attitudes and public perception regarding the impact of allowing women to drive on social, environmental, and economic aspects of the sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The study includes the perspectives of both women and men towards the potential implications of this decree on society in general and women’s well-being in particular. Methods: The methodology consisted of an online survey that was conducted before and after the decree was activated in 2017, where 62,065 individuals participated from thirteen provinces of the KSA. Geographic information systems (GISs) and statistical methods were applied to the obtained datasets to examine the geographical distribution and modeling of the effect of women driving on sustainable development of the KSA. Results: The results show that the attitudes towards allowing women to drive are geographically and statistically diverse. The study revealed that the economic impact of women driving was the highest significance, especially in increasing employment opportunities for women and decreasing household travel expenses for women. Conclusion: Overall, 70.4% of respondents agreed that women driving will positively affect the sustainable development of the KSA in terms of social and economic impact. The study also revealed that geographic location is one of the dominating factors on the attitudes towards the social impact of women driving within 95% confidence interval. Additionally, participants strongly believe (with an agreement rate of 85.1%) that Saudi women driving will improve economic development and the female job market.

Constructing the Qinghai–Tibet Railway (QTR) was a landmark project and was beneficial to the sustainable development of the Third Pole. To understand the sustainable development of remote regions by the provision of railway, we studied the QTR’s impact on accessibilities and economic linkages for four cities in the Third Pole, Xining, Golmud, Nagqu, and Lhasa, and between these four cities and 29 capital cities in mid-eastern China. First, employing average shortest travel time (ASTT) and weighted average travel time (WATT) as indicators, we calculated the railway-based accessibilities for June 2006 and January 2013. Then, using a gravity model, railway-based economic linkages were determined. The results demonstrate that: (i) ASTT for Xining–Golmud decreased by 4.14 h from June 2006 to January 2013. Both ASTT and WATT indicated that the accessibilities of the four cities and between these four cities and 29 capital cities in mid-eastern China improved significantly, and the spatial disparity in accessibility for the four cities decreased, which increased the balance and sustainability of the transportation system; (ii) the average contribution rate of the QTR to improving economic linkages for six routes among the four cities was 25.29%, with the Xining–Nagqu and Nagqu–Lhasa linkages improving most significantly; (iii) the QTR strengthened economic linkages between the four cities and mid-eastern cities. Because of the QTR, the economic linkages between the four cities and 29 capital cities increased 27.58% on average. The spatial disparity in interurban economic linkages also decreased. Transporting products from Tibet should be promoted to strengthen the sustainability of economic growth.
