Background: With demand for blueberries growing, the planting area of blueberries is increasing. However, the main method of piking blueberries is basically the traditional manual piking, so operation of piking is the most time-consuming and laborious in chain of production. Objective: By analyzing and discussing the patents of equipment of blueberry picking, some valuable conclusions have been drawn to predict the future research and development of equipment of blueberry picking. Methods: This paper sketches out various current representative patents relevant to equipment of blueberry picking. Results: Through summarizing a large number of patents about equipment of blueberry picking, the characters of those patents are analyzed and compared, and the further development tendency of equipment of blueberry picking is discussed. Conclusion: The research on the multifunction, intelligence, versatility of blueberry picking machine is helpful to solve the problems of low efficiency, low quality and poor versatility

Developments of products and technologies always follow certain objective law and the same objective law can be applied in different technical fields. the innovation processes of any products follow a law, the development of all technical innovation is toward maximum function. By applying some technical evolution paths, this paper analyses the technical development process of Converter Tilting Machines and forecasts the future development. The evolutionary paths of converter tilting mechanism has been analyzed by using TRIZ Theory, and, the development of Converter Tilting Machine has been forecasted. According to the path toward flexibility, we can forecast that Converter Tilting Machine can be driven by Filed force.

This paper presents a comprehensive review of the scientific and engineering contributions of Prof. Stepan V. Lomov in a career spanning over 3 decades. Starting from his early work on the modelling of dry textiles, different aspects of composite materials have benefited from his inspiring contribution. His wide scientific curiosity drove the research on several topics, covering permeability, forming, damage, fatigue, nano-engineered composites, as well as development of analytical and numerical models at different scales. The paper presents a full spectrum of his scientific career aiming to link his achievements and the future research on composite materials.

This study examines the present status of open access repositories in Bangladesh. The main aim of the study is to find out the characteristics of open access repositories, their development scenario and ranking in web repositories as well as to recommend some suggestions for the development of open access repositories in Bangladesh. The methodology includes a quantitative approach. The data were collected from OpenDOAR from 20 to 29 August 2017. The scope of the study is confined to Bangladeshi repositories indexed in the OpenDOAR database. The findings of the study show that the Bangladeshi repositories are embodied in the Ranking of Web Repositories. The study also clearly indicates the very slow progress of open access repositories in Bangladesh. The repositories in Bangladesh listed in OpenDOAR are mostly institutional in nature. The study also reveals that a maximum number of repositories are small in terms of collection. It can be easily summarized that there is a need for public awareness regarding the concept of open access repositories in Bangladesh to support research and development. This paper is the first attempt in Bangladesh to discuss and analyze the overall scenario of open access repositories. It also suggests some recommendations for developing the open access repository system in Bangladesh which will surely add value to the future research of open access in Bangladesh.

Background: Space docking technology and space docking mechanism are an indispensable parts of modern complex spacecraft and important means to expand satellite functions in the future. However, there is still some technology to be broken through in the research of their buffer and locking, so that the docking mechanism can be better used in the future. Objectives: Through the introduction and discussion of the characteristics of space docking mechanism patents in recent years, some valuable conclusions are summarized, and the future research and development of space docking mechanism are prospected. Methods: This paper studied the patents of various docking mechanism, and summarized the patents and research progress of docking mechanism in space. Results: With the development of space industry, docking mechanism has become more and more important. So the docking mechanism are needed to achieve the replenishment for long-term spacecraft in orbit, personnel exchange, spacecraft maintenance, and so on. Conclusion: : By elaborating the structural characteristics of docking mechanism, the importance of docking mechanism are consulted for investigation. Through the comparison of these patents, it is concluded that weak impact docking mechanism and electromagnetic docking mechanism are the main development trends of docking institutions in the future.

Abstract In recent years there has been considerable advances in the furnace technology in the form of rapid heating furnace. This new technology is not well known to the forging industry or very skeptical about its performance. To prove its usefulness, and to identify the future research issues it is necessary to identify the current industrial practices and sate of the art technology used by the forging industries. A forging industry survey is conducted to find the current industrial practices and a three furnace forging simulation model is developed to prove the usefulness of rapid heating furnace. The results of the survey and simulation model are discussed in this paper.
