New information technology systems such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) are poised to disrupt nearly every aspect of employment from wages and job availability to stress and job-satisfaction. It is important to understand all aspects of a new technological introduction into the workplace, both good and bad. How governments and the private sector balance the positive and negative aspects of this latest technological disruption will be crucial to the future of work and the well-being of workers. Yamamoto, a labour economist and professor in the Faculty of Business and Commerce at Keio University in Japan, is carrying out research to better understand the impacts of new technologies like AI on workers and their well-being.

The technology of production shapes the employment relationship and important issues in its regulation. The new information technology has transformed the organization of production replacing large vertically organized firms governed by the internal labour market with horizontally organized firms governed by a global labour market. These changes require policymakers to broaden the definitions of ‘employee’, ‘employer’, and ‘appropriate bargaining unit’ in the regulation of employment and find ways to incorporate the new information technology into that regulation. As profound as these changes have been, the speedy evolution of information technology and the development of artificial intelligence promise even greater changes in the future. Future regulation will require not only a more expanded notion of the employment relationship, but also increased education and retraining programmes, benefit programmes tied to citizenship rather than employment, increased regulation, subsidy of retirement programmes, and perhaps even a basic income programme.

Background and objective. This paper will focus on innovation process caused by information communication technology. The study in this paper discovers the relation of information technology in software and not software products service industry in innovation processes across their effect in the MBE-s in Kosovo. The main objective of the research study is to recognize the level of use of the new technology, respectively the new information technology in producing and service industry in Kosovo. Materials and Methods. The scientific methodology used in this work is the quantitative methodology with the deductive approach since it is intended to support the existing theory over the information technology and innovative processes. The quantitative data was use from empirical data of Statistical Agency Kosovo and authors own research. Results, the results of this study showing, the influences of information technology in innovation process with p=0. 23. Conclusion Public and Private organizations should take appropriate steps to develop and improve new technologies by creating long-term policies and strategies derived from market needs

Empirical research in Britain has failed to keep pace with the profusion of theorising about tendencies towards dualism in labour markets. This paper attempts to improve upon previous aggregate studies of labour-market change with a detailed questionnaire survey of the economically active in the Southampton city-region. The research suggests that the decline of employment in both manufacturing and public services, together with the expansion of employment in private sector services, has been associated with trends towards dualism in respect of incomes, promotion prospects, fringe benefits, skill levels, job security and levels of job satisfaction.

Given the foreseeable pervasiveness of artificial intelligence (AI) in modern societies, it is legitimate and necessary to ask the question how this new technology must be shaped to support the maintenance and strengthening of constitutional democracy. This paper first describes the four core elements of today's digital power concentration, which need to be seen in cumulation and which, seen together, are both a threat to democracy and to functioning markets. It then recalls the experience with the lawless Internet and the relationship between technology and the law as it has developed in the Internet economy and the experience with GDPR before it moves on to the key question for AI in democracy, namely which of the challenges of AI can be safely and with good conscience left to ethics, and which challenges of AI need to be addressed by rules which are enforceable and encompass the legitimacy of democratic process, thus laws. The paper closes with a call for a new culture of incorporating the principles of democracy, rule of law and human rights by design in AI and a three-level technological impact assessment for new technologies like AI as a practical way forward for this purpose. New technologies have changed the way today's own label products are being offered. Today the Internet and even more the so-called social networks have played key roles in dispersing any particular product in a more efficient and dynamic sense. Also, having a smartphone and a wireless high-speed network are no longer a luxury or a temporary fad, but rather a necessity for the new generations. These technological advances and new marketing trends have not gone unnoticed by the medium and large stores. The augmented reality applied to interactive catalogs is a new technology that supports the adding of virtual reality to a real environment which in turn makes it a tool for discovering new uses, forms, and in this case, spending habits. The challenge for companies with their private labels in achieving their business objectives, is providing customers with products and services of the highest quality, thus promoting the efficient and streamlined use of all resources that are accounted for and at the same time promoting the use of new information technologies as a strategic competitive.

Capitalist corporations seek ever-new opportunities for trade and gain. As competition intensifies within markets, profit-seeking corporations innovate and diversify their products in an unceasing pursuit of new market niches. The incessant changes and unpredictable nature of capitalism often leads to insecurity regarding job loss. Job insecurity has been empirically proven to have negative effects on individuals and organisations. It associates to reduced job satisfaction and decreased mental health. A longitudinal Swedish study showed an indirect effect of trust on job satisfaction and mental health of employees. The advent of AIs, humanoids, robotics, and digitization present reason for employees to worry about the future of their work. A recent study conducted by the McKinsey Global Institute reports that by 2030, a least 14% of employees globally could need changing their careers as a result of the rapid rate of digitization, robotics, and advancement in artificial intelligence disruptions in the world of work.

While it appears that a consensus is crystalising with regard to the hierarchy of concepts such as “knowledge”, “definition” and “information”, there is an increasing urgency for improving definitions of these terms. Strategies such as “knowledge extraction” or “data mining” rely on the increasing availability of digital (electronic) records addressing almost any aspect of socio-economic realm. Information processors are invaluable in the capacity of turning large amount of data into information. However, a new problem emerged on the surface in this new information environment: numerous concepts and terms are blurred by ambiguous definitions (including the concept of 'definition' itself). This triggered a need for mitigating hindrances such as homonymy and synonymy, leading further to demands on the decoding software complexity of which equals the artificial intelligence applications. Information technology presumably copes with this diversity by providing the information decoding 'tools'. This opens a never-ending opportunity for further permutations of tasks and service abilities. The solution, however, is to address the causes rather than indulge in multiplying the superficial remedies. Clearly, the multiplicity of definitions for the same concepts, false synonyms and so forth show that there is a need for introducing definitions of sufficient dimensionality. In this article, a number of examples of important concepts are presented first to point at the ambiguities associated with them, and then to propose their disambiguation. The minimum intent is to demonstrate how these key terms can be defined to avoid ambiguities such as pleonasm, homonymy, synonymy and circularity.

Some researchers have warned that advances in artificial intelligence will increasingly allow employers to substitute human workers with software and robotic systems, heralding an impending wave of technological unemployment. By attending to the particular contexts in which new technologies are developed and implemented, others have revealed that there is nothing inevitable about the future of work, and that there is instead the potential for a diversity of models for organizing the relationship between work and artificial intelligence. Although these social constructivist approaches allow researchers to identify sources of contingency in technological outcomes, they are less useful in explaining how aims and outcomes can converge across diverse settings. In this essay, I make the case that researchers of work and technology should endeavor to link the outcomes of artificial intelligence systems not only to their immediate environments but also to less visible—but nevertheless deeply influential—structural features of societies. I demonstrate the utility of this approach by elaborating on how finance capital structures technology choices in the workplace. I argue that investigating how the structure of ownership influences a firm’s technology choices can open our eyes to alternative models and politics of technological development, improving our understanding of how to make innovation work for everyone instead of allowing the benefits generated by technological change to be hoarded by a select few.

This case weighs the advantages and disadvantages of going global. Ford presented its 1993 Mondeo model, sold as Mystique and Contour in North America, as a “worldcar”. It tried to build a single model for all markets globally to optimize scale of production. This required strong involvement from suppliers and heavy usage of new information technology. The case discusses the difficulties that needed to be overcome as well as the gains that Ford expected from the project. New technology allowed Ford to overcome most of the difficulties it had faced in earlier attempts to produce a worldcar. IT was flanked by major organization changes within Ford. Globalization did not spell obvious success though. While Ford may in the end have succeeded in building an almost global car, it did not necessarily build a car that was competitive in various markets. The Mondeo project resulted in an overhaul of the entire organization under the header of Ford 2000. This program put a heavy emphasis on globalization although it perhaps focused too little on international cooperation and too much on centralization. In terms of Ford’s own history, the Mondeo experience may not be called a new Model T, but does represent an important step in Ford’s transformation as a global firm.
