It is important to understand all aspects of a new technological introduction into the workplace, both good and bad. How governments and the private sector balance the positive and negative aspects of this latest technological disruption will be crucial to the future of work and the well-being of workers. Yamamoto, a labour economist and professor in the Faculty of Business and Commerce at Keio University in Japan, is carrying out research to better understand the impacts of new technologies like AI on workers and their well-being.
