The paper considers the evolution of project activities and the impact of modern technologies on the form of project presentation. Features of the network project are considered, digital tools that are suitable for organizing network activities are described. The stages of project organization and digital tools for conducting a telecommunication project are described, as well as the features of creating a website for a network educational project. The article offers a description of the network project “Internet Safety”. The purpose of this article is to describe a method for creating a modern telecommunication project based on modern cloud and network tools. Based on this goal, the following tasks can be identified: • Consider the evolution of project activities. • Review the stages of project development. • Analyze modern digital tools that are suitable for transferring educational activities to the Internet. To pick up modern tools for the implementation of the network project. • Identify the features of the organization of project activities in the network. • Conduct testing and draw conclusions about the work done. The relevance of this work is that the services used in the course of studying the discipline “Informatics and ICT” must constantly change to the most modern ones and demonstrate to students the relevant tools necessary for a modern graduate and specialist. Materials and methods. The conclusions are based on a theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the use of the project method in education. The article was prepared using the materials and conclusions made by the author when creating the website of the telecommunication project “Internet Safety”. The telecommunication project took place in 2019 (May-June) at the College of Omsk State Technical University, as part of the study of the discipline “Information Technology”. Conclusion. The modern telecommunication project has a number of distinctive features. The process of preparing for the launch of the project is quite time-consuming and requires sufficient digital literacy from the teacher. The use of modern educational environments can make the process of organizing and conducting a project as comfortable as possible for all project participants. The analysis of modern educational tools, based on the description of the key features of the telecommunication project, allowed us to offer fairly easy-to-use services that can fully take advantage of network project activities. The proposed services were tested as part of the network project “Internet Safety”. As part of the research, a method of telecommunication projects has been developed and tested, which, thanks to the use of modern services, is capable of not only acquainting students with the topic of the project, but also developing the ICT competence of students, as well as increasing students' interest in studying modern technologies and improving the ability to navigate the information space. Results. The method of telecommunication projects is an effective pedagogical technology that has found a new life in the digital age. A modern project carried out on the Internet has a number of features, but due to the fact that this type of work is based on modern services and technologies, we can say that it develops the ICT competence of students and their skills to work in the network.

This article proposes a theoretical framework for how critical digital literacy, conceptualized as incorporating Internet users’ utopian/dystopian imaginaries of society in the digital age, facilitates civic engagement. To do so, after reviewing media literacy research, it draws on utopian studies and political theory to frame utopian thinking as relying dialectically on utopianism and dystopianism. Conceptualizing critical digital literacy as incorporating utopianism/dystopianism prescribes that constructing and deploying an understanding of the Internet’s civic potentials and limitations is crucial to pursuing civic opportunities. The framework proposed, which has implications for media literacy research and practice, allows us to (1) disentangle users’ imaginaries of civic life from their imaginaries of the Internet, (2) resist the collapse of critical digital literacy into civic engagement that is understood as inherently progressive, and (3) problematize polarizing conclusions about users’ interpretations of the Internet as either crucial or detrimental to their online engagement.

The development of IT technology has provided people with free access to the Internet, which is now a place for consumers to look for opportunities to share their observations with others. The Internet user wants to be more aware, and willingly participates in the development of emerging brands. Companies have also found their place on the Internet, where they source information from Internet users. They realize the power of the consumer as a source of marketing information, and "take advantage" of consumer behavior to promote their brands. They analyze information about consumers, especially consumer preferences, and then publish this via social media in ways that might appeal to users and lead them to share it with others. This study describes this relationship between consumers and marketing via the Internet, and how the consumer is a source of marketing information, because of the possibilities created for entrepreneurs in the information society.

ABSTRACT: This paper details a number of challenges and opportunities for today’s learners when reading for information on the Internet. After defining online reading comprehension from a new literacies perspective and how it appears to be different than offline reading comprehension, I highlight details about four of the biggest challenges for today’s learners. These include 1) understanding and becoming proficient with the new literacy skills and practices needed for online research; 2) developing a special kind of digital wisdom that focuses on learning how to learn with the Internet; 3) taking on new roles in a digital culture that expects learners to actively participate and contribute with new knowledge as a member of their community; and 4) developing positive attitudes toward using the Internet for academic work. The second part of the paper shares examples of how skilled online readers can use the steps of online inquiry to think more deeply about topics that interest them; develop a personal voice as they share ideas with others; and work collaboratively to build meaning and new digital products that enable them to make a difference in their world, or matter. You can explore the research and resources from this presentation in more depth at <http://coiroevidosol.wikispaces.com/>.KEYWORDS: online reading comprehension; online inquiry; digital literacy; reading on the Internet; online readers. There is an increasing demand for what we can call pop-science that is pertinent scientific information dedicated to the non-specialists. This demand comes both from professional categories and the general public. Simultaneously in the scientific community there is an increasing consciousness that diffusion of the scientific information is an asset the scientific community cannot afford to overlook. The Internet is a perfect tool to meet this demand. It reaches a large and ever-increasing number of people and permits an interactive and detailed exchange of information. As an experiment of how to combine high quality services and the information technology, we have set up Ulisse - In the net of science (http://ulisse.sissa.it), an innovative Italian project for the popularisation of science via the Internet. Its main purpose is to establish a connection between scientists and the general public. Ulisse is based on three major characteristics: a) high technology to create an efficient and friendly system, b) customisation of the services, c) a network of scientists, which guaranteed the quality of the materials.

In the Internet age, most of information is available on the Internet in the different formats which known as “Internet resources” and people use Internet information for their different purposes but it is very essential for every Internet user to evaluate the retrieved Internet resources before making their uses to accomplish the tasks. This paper presents a review of selected literature found on evaluation of Internet resources available in different format in LIS domain with the following objectivities (i) To know the literature available on the need of evaluation of Internet resources; (ii) To identify the availability of literature on evaluating Internet resources; (iii) To examine the various criteria suggested for evaluating different types Internet resources by authors. This study will assist to users in framing the evaluation criteria for resources exist in various formats on the Internet.
