Technological independence is one aspect of the challenges of the industrial revolution era 4.0. Digitalization, robotization, big data, internet of things (IoT), and efficiency of work processes require an update in technology. If everything is held in the fulfillment of practicum facilities, it will undoubtedly cost a prohibitive fee. Many of the tools and machines found in learning machining practices in Vocational High Schools (VHS) in Indonesia are still a conventional machine. This study provides a breakthrough solution in the effectiveness and efficiency of traditional machining of the lathe that starts with a preliminary identification of literature, selection according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, coding, themes classifications, and supplementary areas. Through the literature review methodology, this article has the main objective of identifying the needs in architecture and the need for supporting devices on conventional lathes based on the IoT as well as safe, comfortable, and modern work areas in lathe machining practices.

Bina Nusa Slawi Vocational School (Binus) is one of the Vocational High Schools located in Slawi District, Tegal Regency. The results of a survey conducted, that almost all teachers and students (99%) had heard about the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Internet of Things, but did not understand the meaning of it all, even though the industrial revolution 4.0 had disrupted almost all fields of science and lines of life. The survey results also show that all teachers and students have used internet maximally, but development trend of the use internet that is not yet widely understood, especially regarding: Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. Therefore needed an Introduction Study Internet of Things for Teachers and Students of SMK Bina Nusa Slawi as Insights One of the Characteristics of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The method implemented is by giving presentations, discussions, and demonstrations about Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. Based on activities that have been carried out, the results obtained are knowledge, understanding, competence of teachers and students of SMK Bina Nusa Slawi about Internet of Things increasing.

Vocational education purpose is to produce ready-to-work graduates who have the relevant skills for current job employment. Entering the industrial revolution era 4.0 there were massive changes in various industries and workers' ability needs. This article intends to examine the implications of the industrial revolution 4.0 era for vocational education curriculum. Based on the study of various sources and business practices, it is necessary to develop vocational education curriculum that are in accordance with the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and relevant to answering the needs of new skills, such as the ability to create and manage coding, big data, and artificial intelligence. The vocational curriculum needs to apply blended learning, which integrates face-to-face and online learning, so as to more effectively build graduates' abilities and skills. The curriculum also needs to contain mastery of 4.0 competencies such as data literacy, technology literacy and human literacy. In order for the vocational education curriculum to have a broad impact, the government, educational institutions, industries must work together to revitalize the approach and content of the vocational education curriculum. Teachers must also be able to implement good learning to produce optimal graduate performance.

Within the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution as an overall paradigm change, organization and work processes must switch together with automation following and real-time control. This applies to the contents of labor and to the interaction and connection between human and technology. Up to this point, there are only a few empirical studies about how digitized, decentralized and closely connected production system with "Cyber-Physical-Systems" change the task and and competence profiles in the workplace. One outcome will be that intelligent workpieces will manage their way into production themselves. Depending on the implementation level of Industry 4.0 in companies, vocational education and training for the workforce is highly relevant and the vocational systems have to respond to the needs and expectations of the new technological challenges. Successful reactions of the vocational systems towards the 4th Industrial Revolution have to focus on curriculum development, teacher training and training of highly skilled workers. Approaches to fulfill these requirements will be discussed in this paper.

Official statistics on monthly export values have a publicity lag between the current period and the published publication. None of the previous researchers estimated the value of exports for the monthly period. This circumstance is due to limitations in obtaining supporting data that can predict the criteria for the current export value of goods. AIS data is one type of big data that can provide solutions in producing the latest indicators to forecast export values. Statistical Methods and Conventional Machine Learning are implemented as forecasting methods. Seasonal ARIMA and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methods are both used in research to forecast the value of Indonesia’s exports. However, ANN has a weakness that requires high computational costs to obtain optimal parameters. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is effective in increasing ANN accuracy. Based on these backgrounds, this paper aims to develop and select an AIS indicator to predict the monthly export value in Indonesia and optimize ANN performance by combining the ANN algorithm with the genetic algorithm (GA-ANN). The research successfully established five indicators that can be used as predictors in the forecasting model. According to the model evaluation results, the genetic algorithm has succeeded in improving the performance of the ANN model as indicated by the resulting RMSE GA-ANN value, which is smaller than the RMSE of the ANN model.

Every country is currently preparing themselves for the fourth industrial revolution, the environment where innovation is the key concept for survival. Most of the countries have developed framework for their e-government development. Unfortunately, most of these frameworks do not contain adequate details on what are the activities required if big data will be used as a backbone of all services. This research focuses on proposing a conceptual framework for development of e-government in Thailand. The proposed framework explicitly contains all important activities to be completed if big data will serve as the core component of all services for their citizens.

This paper first integrates big data tools—Hive, Impala, and SparkSQL—which support SQL-like queries for rapid data retrieval in big data. The three introduced tools are not only suitable for operating in business intelligence to serve high-performance data retrieval, but they are also an open-source software solution with low cost for small-to-medium enterprise use. In practice, the proposed approach provides an in-memory cache and an in-disk cache to achieve a very fast response to a query if a cache hit occurs. Moreover, this paper develops so-called platform selection that is able to select the appropriate tool dealing with input query with effectiveness and efficiency. As a result, the speed of job execution of proposed approach using platform selection is 2.63 times faster than Hive in the Case 1 experiment, and 4.57 times faster in the Case 2 experiment.
