AbstractThis study aims to describe forms, functions, and strategies in autistic children’sdirective speech acts. The data were from the recording of dialogs performed in anautism-specific school and an inclusive school in Malang City. They were collectedthrough observations and recording. The data collection and analysis were interactively,simultaneously, and iteratively done to deeply and wholly understand forms, functions,and strategies in autistic children’s directive speech acts. The results of the study areas follows. First, the forms include requests, commands, and prohibitions. Second, thefunctions comprise those of requesting, commanding, and prohibiting. Third, the strategiesconsist of a direct strategy and an indirect strategy.

Each language has a modality to express the speaker's attitude. The form that describes the attitude of the speaker is in the form of grammatical elements and there are also lexical elements. In French, the lexical attitude of the speaker can be characterized by capital verbs such as vouloir, devoir, pouvoir and falloir. This paper discusses the modalities in directive speech acts in its use in French in French-language comics namely Michel Vaillante. This article aims to find out the function of using modal modal verb modalities realized by Michel Vaillante comics. Data is collected from Michel Vaillante comics downloaded from the online version of the Culturethèque website. Data collection was done using the 'see' method, then analyzed using the agih method with the basic technique 'for direct elements'. The last step is the method of presenting data. The author uses formal and informal methods in presenting the results of data analysis. The results show that the function of the French modal modal verb in directive speech acts expresses the meaning of governing, suggesting, and expressing hope. The capital verbs used are devoir, pouvoir, vouloir, and falloir.Keywords: modalities, French, capital verbs, directive speech acts.

Thalibah Arabic language proficiency can be assessed from the speech act process. There are several types of speech acts that can be used, but in this study the type of speech acts used are directive speech acts. This study aims to analyze the form and context of speech contained in the type of directive speech acts used by ustadzah to thalibah in communicating in Arabic. This study uses a qualitative research approach with an interactive model popularized by Miles and Huberman. The data source in this study is the form of speech spoken by the ustadzah and the context of speech produced by the ustadzah after the form of speech is obtained. Data collection techniques in this study were referenced techniques, recording techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study found that directive speech acts that are more dominantly spoken by the ustadzah are governing, asking, and giving advice. The form of speech in the type of directive speech act found includes orders, requests, advice and prohibitions. The context of speech that is found is to rule, tell, instruct, require, request, advise, advise, direct, admonish, and prohibit.

Knowing the type of speech act is very important to understand to see the kind of speech act and its meaning and purpose behind the utterance. The purpose of this study is to describe the types, forms, and meanings or intentions of speech acts in the president's speech related to the handling of the coronavirus, especially with pragmatic studies. The type of research used is qualitative research. This study's data source is the video source contained in the upload of an account on Youtube. The data in this study are all speech acts, which are directive speech acts. The data collection techniques used are recording, observation, observation, and note-taking. The results showed: first, the directive speech acts consist of speech acts by asking, inviting, pleading, ordering, and prohibiting. Second, the speech act is in the form of an oral form, an utterance uttered by the president in his speech regarding the coronavirus's handling, which tends to be qualitative. Third, the purpose of this directive speech act has several meanings, namely to influence, invite, something, tell or explain something, expect attention, forbid, praise, criticize, and as a form of channeling complaints.

The purpose of this research is to describe the type and function of speech acts in the film of Asalamualaikum Calon Imamku.. The method of data collection in this study is the observation method, continued by the note taking technique. Then, the data was analyzed by using the theory of speech acts. Based on the result of the research was found five kinds of speech acts used in the film of Asalamualaikum Calon Imamku, namely representative speech acts, directive speech acts, expressive speech acts, commissive speech acts, and declarative speech acts. Representative speech acts found function to report, expect, acknowledge, and show. Directive speech acts found function to force, advise, prohibit, ask, order, beg, invite, and suggest. Expressive speech acts found function to criticize, judge, blame, warn, and praise. The commissive speech act found function to promise and state the capability. The declarative speech act found function to authorize.

Penggunaan jenis dan fungsi dari tindak tutur digunakan dalam bisnis di perusahaan wedding Jepang yang ada di Bali yang dominan wisatawan Jepang ketika ingin melakukan pernikahan di Bali. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penggunaan jenis dan fungsi dari staf lokal ketika berkomunikasi dengan wisatawan Jepang yang dilakukan melalui pelayanan dari hari sebelum dan saat pernikahan berlangsung. Penelitian kualitatif ini dilakukan di kabupaten Badung karena perusahaan tersebut hanya dibuka di kabupanten Badung, dan tidak dibuka ditempat lain. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menyimak, mencatat interaksi staf lokal, serta didukung teknik wawancara mendalam. Data dalam bentuk percakapan yang digunakan oleh staf kepada wisatawan Jepang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan fungsi dari tindak tutur yang digunakan berbeda-beda sesuai dengan kondisi yang dialami staf lokal terhadap wisatawan Jepang. Yaitu (1) tindak tutur asertif dengan fungsi pragmatis menjelaskan dan bertanya; (2) tindak tutur direktif dengan fungsi pragmatis menyuruh, membantu dan memerintahkan. Namun meskipun, fungsi dari tindak tutur yang dihasilkan berbeda-beda, staf tetap memberikan pelayanan yang baik dan ramah saat berhadapan dengan wisatawan Jepang. Jenis dari ketiga pembahasan tersebut menggunakan jenis tindak tutur langsung dimana staf secara langsung berkomunikasi kepada wisatawan Jepang berupa kalimat tanya dan kalimat perintah.   Abstract The use of types and functions of speech acts are used in business in Japanese wedding companies in Bali that are predominantly Japanese tourists when they want to have a wedding in Bali. This research focuses on the use of types and functions of local staff when communicating with Japanese tourists which is done through services from the day before and when the wedding takes place. This qualitative research was conducted in Badung regency because the company was only opened in Badung regency, and was not opened elsewhere. Data collection techniques, such as listening, recording the interaction of local staff, and supported in-depth interview techniques. Data in the form of conversations used by staff to Japanese tourists. The results showed the use of the speech acts function used varies according to the conditions experienced by local staff towards Japanese tourists. Namely (1) assertive speech acts with pragmatic functions explaining and asking questions; (2) directive speech acts with pragmatic functions of ordering, helping and ordering. However, although the functions of speech acts are different, the staff still provide good and friendly service when dealing with Japanese tourists. The types of the three discussions use direct speech acts where the staff directly communicates with Japanese tourists in the form of question and command sentences. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the use of directive speech acts carried out by teachers in learning Mathematics and Physics, with the data source coming from class X IPA of Senior Hight School Negeri 1 Limau. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection is carried out by means of observation / observation, interviews, recording and recording. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive analysis from the beginning to the end of the study. Data analysis was carried out during data collection and after data collection. The research findings contained thirty two data that were spread into three types of directive speech acts in the command category, giving advice and asking categories. There are research results that teachers who can make effective directive speech acts, are able to foster character for students.

The aim of this research is to find out the type of directive speech acts and to find out which directive speech acts most frequently used in “Koi Mil Gaya” movie. The research is conducted by using a qualitative approach. This research describes the phenomenon, the data, the situation, as it is really found. The technique of data collection in this research is a documentary study. From the result of this study, the writer finds that there are 246 utterances of directive speech act produced by the characters in the movie as 196 data. The form of the directive act can be found in utterances which contain words, phrase, clause, and sentences. From the analysis shows that in “Koi Mil Gaya” movie shows a directive speech act which contains three aspects, they are command, request, and suggestion. First, in command, there are 165 data (utterances) or 84.18 %. Second, in suggestion, there are 20 data/utterances or 10.20 %. Third, in a request there are 11 data//utterances or 5.61 %. While the most dominant type of directive speech act is in command.Keywords: Speech Act, Directive, Movie

Abstrak— Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan jenis dan fungsi tindak tutur direktif yang digunakan pedagang asongan pada Kapal Motor Penyeberangan (KMP) di Pelabuhan Ulee Lheue Banda Aceh dalam interaksinya dengan pembeli. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik rekam dan catat. Data diolah dengan langkah mengidentifikasi data, mengklasifikasi data, menganalisis data, dan menyimpulkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Jenis tindak tutur direktif yang terdapat pada interaksi jual-beli pedagang asongan pada Kapal Motor Penyeberangan (KMP) di Pelabuhan Ulee Lheue Banda Aceh meliputi: jenis pertanyaan (questions), permintaan (requstives), larangan (prohibitive), pemberian izin (permissives), desakan dan saran, (2) Fungsi tindak tutur direktif yang ditemukan dalam interaksi jual-beli pedagang asongan pada Kapal Motor Penyeberangan (KMP) di Pelabuhan Ulee Lheue Banda Aceh sebanyak enam fungsi tindak tutur direktif. Fungsi tindak tutur direktif yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: delapan fungsi bertanya, satu fungsi memohon, dua fungsi melarang, tiga fungsi mendesak, satu fungsi membolehkan, dan dua fungsi menyarankan. Kata Kunci: Tindak Tutur Direktif, Interaksi Jual Beli. Abstract— This study aims to describe the type and function of directive speech acts used by hawkers in Motorized Crossing Ships (KMP) in Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh, in their interactions with buyers. This research includes the type of qualitative research using a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data collection is done by recording and recording techniques. Data is processed by step identifying data, classifying data, analyzing data, and concluding. The results of the study show that, (1) the type of directive speech acts that occur in the interaction of selling and buying peddlers at the Crossing Motorboat (KMP) at Ulee Lheue Port in Banda Aceh include: questions, requests (requstives), prohibitions (prohibitive ), permissives, pressures and suggestions, (2) The directive function of speech acts found in the interaction of the sale and purchase of hawkers at the Crossing Motorboat (KMP) at Ulee Lheue Port in Banda Aceh is six directive speech acts. The directive speech act functions found in this study include: eight question functions, one invoking function, two prohibiting functions, three urgent functions, one function allows, and two functions suggest. <p>The research entitled Directive Speech Act Seen on Family 2.0 Drama Script Written by Walter Wykes purposes to describe and uncover the types of form and intended meaning of directive speech act on that drama script. This descriptive research uses pragmatic approach and theory. The collecting and analysing data are focused on the using of declarative, imperative, and interrogative sentences in the text of drama. The forms of those sentences will be analysed to find out the types of form of directive speech act, while the context of those sentences will be used to analyze the intended meaning of directive speech act uttered by speakers. The results of the research are found that, first, there are two types of the form of directive speech acts, direct directive speech acts and indirect directive speech acts. Direct directive speech acts are represented by imperative sentence without subject; imperative sentence with let; and negative imperative sentence. Meanwhile the indirect directive speech acts are represented by declarative sentence statement; declarative sentence if clause; negative declarative sentences; and interrogative sentences. Second, the intended meanings seen on drama script of Family 2.0 are command, prohibition, request, treat, and persuasion. It can be concluded that, the most frequent intended meaning appeared in directive speech acts on this script is command by the use of imperative forms. Then, the declarative and interrogative forms are used to request something by adults charaters; in contrast the kids characters use them to command and prohibit the hearer.<strong></strong></p><strong>Keywords: </strong> family 2.0, pragmatic, speech act, directive, form and intended meaning

  This study aims to observe and describe the use of speech acts by Barack Obama when he announced the death of Osama bin Laden. The writer focuses on illocutionary acts used by Barack Obama. The primary data source is the transcript of Barack Obama’s speech at White House on May 1st, 2011 after the death of Osama bin Laden. The types of illocutionary acts are observed by the writer according to Searle’s Taxonomy of Illocutionary Act. They are representatives, directives, commissives, expressives, and declarations. The result of the study shows that representatives are frequetnly used by Obama in his speech. Representatives are used in 54 utterances (74%); Commissives are used in 11 utterances (15%); Expressives are used in 7 utterances (11%). Barack Obama used none both directive speech acts and declaration speech acts. Representatives are frequently used in Barack Obama speech because the purpose of the speech is to announce the death of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. The evidence is that most utterances in the transcipt use statements, descriptions, and reports.
